5 Ways Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Remind Us of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez aren't the only young Hollywood couple to grow up in the spotlight together. When it comes to that crazy relationship known as Jelena, we can't help but think of one famous couple who has pretty much been in their shoes before...Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

The country music power couple was Jelena before Jelena existed. No really, they were. Just check out the odd similarities between the two famous couples below.

  1. It all started with those duets together...
  2. All of that adorable PDA
  3. Then there are those infamous breakup rumors
  4. Both couples have a relationship with Taylor Swift...
  5. And the one thing the ladies would probably like to forget about...the guys' drunken arrests with their famous BFFs

Maybe this means there IS hope for the Biebs and his lady? Do you think Justin and Selena are the next Tim and Faith?

CMA Nominations 2013: The Battle of Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood...and Blake Shelton?!

The nominees for the 2013 Country Music Association Awards were announced today and it seems like it's going to be a battle between Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton this year!

Taylor, who has won Entertainer of the Year twice already, is up for the epic award again this year and she's the only female in the category! She's also battling Carrie Underwood, like always, in the Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year categories. She's up for six awards!

Carrie is hosting the show, with Brad Paisley, and is up tons of awards too. We totally think she's going to be the bigger winner this year, beating out Taylor in the categories they're both up for. It's not that we are hating on Tay, it just seems like her songs were stronger in the country music world his year, don't you think?

Taylor's not the only tough competition Carrie is up against, Blake Shelton could easily take over the awards show too! Tim McGraw Says His Daughters Love Listening to One Direction, Not His Music

We aren't the only ones who love One Direction! Just ask country music star, Tim McGraw all about the 1D guys.

In an interview with Parade.com, Tim talked about his daughters, 16-year-old Gracie, 15-year-old Maggie and 11-year-old Audrey's One Direction obession.

"Mumford & Sons is a big hit at our house. One Direction, of course, is a big hit at our house. But certainly not dad. They don't listen to dad very often," he said.

LOL! His girls pick One Direction over their own dad's music?!

Maybe that won't happen for long. Tim DID just release an awesome duet with Taylor Swift called "Highway Don't Care." Perhaps there could be a 1D/Tim collaboration in the future? Imagine if the One Direction guys switched over into the country music world!

The night before, Taylor performed her song “Red” at the 2013 CMT Music Awards.

“It’s starting,” she told USA Today of the writing process while backstage at the show. “All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually.”

Taylor added, “Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away. I’m going to like it, but it’s going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project.”

Taylor Swift: Tim McGraw Says She Can Date Whoever She Wants!

One reason Taylor Swift can date anyone and do anything she wants? Because she's loaded! Well, that's if you ask country singer Tim McGraw!

During a segment on his upcoming show, ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night (airing May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS), McGraw talked up Taylor's awesomeness and wasn't even trying to give her dating advice. One thing is for sure, he thinks she should be able to do whatever she wants!

"She's young and beautiful and she's loaded...she can do whatever she wants!" he said.

The two singers recently released a song with American Idol judge Keith Urban called "Highway Don't Care" and after working with her, Tim noticed her magnificent song-writing skills.

"Taylor is one of those real artists that comes along every once in awhile that creates such a wave that everybody falls into it," McGraw said.

"She's got a great sense of style, she's a beautiful girl and she's a great singer. But I think as much as anything, she is a really fantastic songwriter."

He also admitted that he likes how Taylor handles the media and the stress of everyone constantly watching her.

"I was young when I started, but not nearly as young as her...It's gotta be tough. But she's just got such poise and a confidence about her. I think she's really handled herself well."

We have to say we agree with Mr. McGraw!

Taylor Swift Can Date Whoever She Wants, Says Pal Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw isn't about to give dating advice to his friend Taylor Swift .

"She's young and beautiful and she's loaded," McGraw told me earlier today while promoting his two-hour television special ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night (airing May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS). "She can do whatever she wants."

Amen!

Just this morning, McGraw released the music video for "Highway Don't Care," his new single with Swift and featuring Keith Urban.

"Taylor is one of those real artists that comes along every once in awhile that creates such a wave that everybody falls into it," McGraw said. "She's got a great sense of style, she's a beautiful girl and she's a great singer. But I think as much as anything, she is a really fantastic songwriter."

McGraw says he's also impressed with how the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer has handled the endless scrutiny of her every move.
"I was young when I started, but not nearly as young as her," he said. "It's gotta be tough. But she's just got such poise and a confidence about her. I think she's really handled herself well."

No disagreeing with that.

Who else would McGraw love to work with? Make sure to come back to E! Online tomorrow to find out. Plus, check out Swift at the Met Gala on tonight's E! News at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

im McGraw: Taylor Swift Is Changing The History of Music

Maybe it’s the song she wrote, but when we think of Tim McGraw, we always think of Taylor Swift (see, Tay, we can take instructions!). You know, “When you think Tim McGraw, I hope you’ll think of me”? Turns out, Tim also thinks about Taylor. In a recent Associated Press interview, Tim discussed his career, singing abroad, and (most interesting to us) his view on Taylor Swift as a musician.

“She’s great. You know, I’ve been a fan of Taylor so long...” Tim gushes. “She actually toured with Faith and I for our Soul to Soul tour a few years ago.” Oh man, we would’ve killed to be in the audience for that. It’s funny to think of the three of them together, considering all the rumors abound that three of the main characters on Nashville may have been inspired by the trio — Deacon (Charles Esten) has some similarities to Tim, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) displays some of Taylor’s most obvious attributes, and Rayna’s (Connie Britton) look was admittedly based on Faith Hill’s.

As for how Tim feels about Taylor’s enviable career, he couldn’t say anything nicer. “[Y]ou know she’s one of those rare artists that come along that there’s only been a handful of throughout the history of music, who creates such a weight behind her, pulls so many people into what her music is about that they discover so many different artists because of what she does. She’s just a really special, special artist.”

Take that, haters.

Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban New Song "Highway Don't Care" Leaks Online!

This time Taylor Swift isn't singing about country legend Tim McGraw but singing WITH him!

In a new song called "Highway Don't Care," Taylor Swift and American Idol's Keith Urban both join Tim McGraw in a country threesome that can probably never be topped ever again.

The song is seriously SO good!

The tune can be found on McGraw's upcoming album "Two Lanes of Freedom" that is set to be released tomorrow.

Lucky for us, the VERY talented trio's song has been leaked online a day early!

Tim made "Highway Don't Care" the 13th track on his CD. An ode he admitted he did just for Miss Taylor!

How cool is that?!

If you recall, Taylor got her start back in the day with her catchy song "Tim McGraw." It's cool to see them working together now!

Do you like "Highway Don't Care?"
