‘American Horror Story: 13’ Teaser Trailer Features a Greatest Hits of Fan-Favorites From Past Seasons, Including the Return of Jessica Lange

American Horror Story: 13 is teasing an epic mash-up of previous seasons.

FX unveiled a new teaser trailer Thursday (August 13) featuring plenty of glimpses of stars and villains of seasons past, including the return of Jessica Lange as Constance Langdon from Murder House.

There’s also Evan Peters back as Kai Anderson from Cult, and Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett and Emma Roberts as Cordelia Goode, Marie Laveau and Madison Montgomery from Coven.

John Carroll Lynch‘s creepy Twisty the Clown from Freak Show makes an appearance too, as does Evan‘s Rubber Man from Murder House.

Mena Suvari’s Elizabeth Short from Murder House, Gabourey Sidibe’s Queenie and Jamie Brewer’s Nan from Coven also appear.

“I know which ones the fans liked the most. They love ‘Murder House’, ‘Asylum,’ ‘Coven,’ ‘Freak Show,’ and they loved ‘Cult,’” Ryan previously shared.

With that in mind, some of the actors will be playing multiple characters from different seasons in the new episodes!

“Some of them will be playing two characters from two different seasons in the same scene. Evan [Peters] was, at one point, playing two different characters and talking to himself. So it was really fun and tricky to make, and I loved that. I’ve edited almost all of them, and I think they’re really good.”

While speaking with Variety for a new feature, Ryan teased the upcoming episodes and revealed some new details about the returning cast.

Ariana Grande has another number one album on her hands!

The 33-year-old pop star dropped her new album, petal, just over a week ago, and it just debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart.

This marks the seventh No 1 album of her career. The only LP that didn’t go No 1 was her third album, Dangerous Woman, which peaked at No 2 in 2016.

petal launched with 250,000 equivalent album units earned in the US, marking her biggest week in the 2020s, and her biggest week by pure album sales in over a decade!

Ariana has now tied for the fifth-most leaders on the Billboard 200 among solo women, alongside Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga.

Following the album going No 1, Ariana took to her Instagram story to celebrate and thank fans.

“thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she wrote in one post.

In another, she reposted a graphic that stated petal was No 1 on the Billboard 200, No 1 top album sales, and No 1 top streaming albums. “overflowing,” she wrote, with a heart emoji and “:’)”

Ariana‘s latest chart achievement comes after she wrapped the North American leg of her The Eternal Sunshine Tour. She is next set to head to London for a 10-show run at The O2 Arena, starting August 15th.

Frankie Grande is sharing a heartfelt message for his sister Ariana Grande after watching her close out the North American leg of the Eternal Sunshine Tour.

On Friday (August 7), Frankie shared footage captured during Ariana‘s final Chicago concert, which took place one night earlier at the United Center.

“Family forever. I will have your back until the end of time. I am so proud of you and so happy for you,” he began his Instagram caption.

“Last night was a beautiful celebration of your artistry and the magnificent eternal sunshine family you have built and created. It was a magical night. You are magical,” Frankie continued. “You are my everything and I am so so happy I was there to see you shine on this tour one last time.”

His closing sentence seems to include sweet references to two of Ariana‘s songs, “My Everything” and “One Last Time.”

Thursday’s concert concluded Ariana‘s three-show run at Chicago’s United Center and the North American portion of the tour. The singer shared her own emotional message after the show, saying she was “overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude.”

Ariana will resume the tour at London’s O2 Arena on August 15. She is scheduled to perform 10 shows there before concluding the tour on September 1.

Frankie‘s tribute comes days after Ariana‘s representative confirmed that she will “take a step back from visibility” following the tour. Ariana later clarified during a Chicago concert that the decision was planned well in advance and was not a reaction to recent negativity.

Ariana Grande is marking the end of the North American leg of her Eternal Sunshine Tour.

On Thursday night (August 6), the 33-year-old Grammy-winning pop star performed her last of three shows at Chicago’s United Center.

Following the concert, Ariana took to Instagram to share a message of gratitude with fans as she prepares to take her tour to the UK.

“I love you … I cannot believe that this concludes the North American leg of the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” Ariana wrote while sharing photos and videos from the tour so far. “I am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude.”

“Thank you endlessly for the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling few months,” she continued. “I will cherish every moment of this time with you all & these memories forever. Thank you, Chicago … London, I cannot wait to see you soon. I love you all more than ever.”

Ariana has the next week off before her first show in London on August 15. She’ll be performing 10 shows at The O₂ Arena before concluding the tour on September 1.

Ryan Murphy is opening up about Ariana Grande‘s exit from the upcoming 13th season of American Horror Story.

The Oscar-nominated actress was announced as a cast member for the upcoming season back in October 2025 and fans were excited to see her reunite with TV creator Ryan Murphy, who she previously worked with on Scream Queens.

On July 10, 2026, it was confirmed that Ariana had dropped out of the season due to scheduling conflicts with her summer tour.

Ryan confirmed this in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

I love Ariana Grande. We’re great friends. I had an idea and I came to her and she, very immediately, said, “I’m not sure because I think I’m going on tour.” I don’t think the tour had been announced, and she had obviously just finished the Wicked movie. So when it came time to do that episode, I called her up and she was like, “I don’t know how I’m going to juggle the tour with this.” And I said, “OK, if you can’t, we can push to another season.” She said, “Great.”

Ryan also teased the potential to work with Ariana in the future.

You have to be respectful. Who is busier than Ariana Grande? No one. She had told me at the time, “I have this album that’s dropping.” It was really, truly a scheduling conflict. I said, “OK, we’ll kick that can down the road,” and she said, “Great.” Ariana is a big fan of horror. She’s obviously done homages of that in her work; she did Scream Queens for me and loved the experience, and people love her in that show. So I will always work with her.

I love her, and I support her. It was a very big swing, but I might bring that back for another season, per Ariana’s availability. I think the world of her.

Mary Holland is joining the upcoming Superman spinoff series!

The 41-year-old Happiest Season and Ghosts star has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming HBO Max show that’s based around the character of Jimmy Olsen, according to a new report from Deadline.

She will reportedly play the role of Sandra.

Jimmy Tatro plays Gorilla Grodd, “the hyper-intelligent telepathic ape who has sought to rule both the simian and human worlds, though the Flash has frequently thwarted his plans,” per the report.

The series is set to be a true-crime-style mockumentary series involving the Superman movie’s breakout character Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo) of the Daily Planet, and will focus on DC villain Gorilla Grodd (Tatro), who has psychic powers and other skills after his encounter with an alien spaceship.

Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, the duo behind the acclaimed mockumentary American Vandal, are set to write, executive produce and serve as showrunners.

The music video for Phoebe Bridgers‘ song “Lost Boys” features Skyler Gisondo, who will also be seen in the upcoming movie Focker-in-Law as the love interest of Ariana Grande‘s character.
