Hosted by Jake Whitehall, the music awards show took place on Saturday (February 28) held at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.

This year, leading the nominations was Lola Young with five nods, followed by Olivia Dean with four.

The Masked Singer is back!

A new episode of season 14 of the hit FOX singing competition series aired on Wednesday night (February 25).

Leighton Meester Addresses Viral Exchange with Ariana Grande at Critics Choice Awards 2026, Explains What Really Happened

Leighton Meester is clearing the air on her viral exchange with Ariana Grande at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.

On the red carpet at the event last month, the two ladies crossed paths and Ariana could be heard saying, “Love you so much. Wow, wow wow” to Leighton as she walked in the opposite direction.

The camera then panned to Leighton, who repeated Ariana‘s “Wow, wow, wow” and then laughed.

After some fans thought that Leighton was mocking Ariana, the Gossip Girl actress is now explaining what really happened.

Keep reading to find out more…“I was with Kate [my publicist]. And [Ariana] said something to me,” Leighton recalled on the new episode of Penn Badgley‘s Podcrushed podcast. “And then Kate turns around, and we both heard that [Ariana said], ‘Hi, I love you. Wah, wah, wah.’”

Leighton thought that Ariana was poking some fun at her for crying over husband Adam Brody‘s win at the awards show the year before, since she and her publicist were just talking about it before Ariana walked by.

“I couldn’t hear her. She was, like, walking away. And I was like, ‘Oh, she’s kind of a comedy queen. She’s just being funny.’ Like, ‘I love you. Wah, wah, wah.’ Like, I thought that would be something she would do,” Leighton explained. “And so I was like, ‘Oh, my God, that’s cute and funny.’”

As it turns out, Leighton had misheard Ariana.

“Turns out she didn’t say that. And then I saw her, like, the next week, and I was like, ‘I have to tell you, like, I thought [you said that],’” Leighton recalled. “And she’s like, ‘You thought I said wah, wah, wah? That’s so funny.’ And I was like, ‘No, it’s an old person not being able to hear.’ Like, that is so embarrassing.”

The 29-year-old model and Rhode boss appeared on the season 3 premiere of Jake Shane‘s Therapuss podcast, which is now available for streaming on Netflix.

In her interview, Hailey gushed over motherhood and shared an update on 16-month-old son Jack Blues, whom she shares with husband Justin Bieber.

Keep reading to find out more…“So he talks a lot about basketball,” Hailey said of her toddler. “He says basketball all the time. I went to get him up from his nap today, and he was like ‘basketball.’ He’s just – it’s insane. So funny.”

“He also just started saying please. He knew how to sign please for a really long time. So if I would say, hey, ‘say please,’ he would go this, as please,” Hailey said while performing the American Sign Language gesture for “please.”

“He’s walking. He’s running… He’s kicking a soccer ball. He’s throwing the soccer ball,” she added. “He’s into all of it.”

“It is so fun,” Hailey said of motherhood. “I always knew I wanted kids, I always wanted to be a mom. And then when it happens, you never know what to expect and you don’t know what it’s going to be like. And it honestly it’s so much fun.”

When asked what is “one thing” no one warned her about parenting and she wasn’t expecting, Hailey said, “It’s a whole bunch of you just don’t know what’s going to happen until you get there. I think something that I feel did surprise me, though, was I. I feel like I’m a lot more relaxed as a mom than I thought I would be. I think especially as a first time mom.”

Also in the interview, Hailey said that she hopes to have more kids in the future.

“I definitely do want one more,” she said, adding, “I’m not in a rush, but I definitely want one more. Maybe I’ll have four more. Maybe I’ll have three. I don’t know, I really don’t know. I’m just taking it one day at a time.”

In another recent interview, Hailey shared how she and Justin, 31, balance work and parenting.

Cynthia then hypothesized that the relationship confused some people because emotional intimacy between women isn’t widely discussed.

“I think it’s because there’s such little conversation around platonic female friendship that is deep and real, even though it exists everywhere,” Cynthia said. “We’re not used to seeing it on camera, in front of people.”

She continued, “A relationship where people are connected sometimes just makes people uncomfortable; we aren’t taught that those relationships are good for us.”

While in Australia on Friday (February 13), the 29-year-old model and Rhode boss appeared at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event where she opened up about how she and the 31-year-old “Yukon” singer balance parenthood and their work schedules.

“I’m here working and my son is at home with his dad living his best life,” she continued. “Having that support is very freeing and makes the decision a little bit easier.”

“I’m always super excited to collaborate with the person that I love,” Hailey shared. “[Justin and I] don’t think of it as a work thing. We look at it as, ‘How fun is it that we can both do the things that we’re passionate about, so let’s do something that we’re passionate about together.’”

“We’re both people that really love things that feel effortless and seamless, and want to do things that feel fun,” she added.

Hailey also noted part of balancing her work life with being a mom is saying “no” to things.

“I am a very big believer in our ‘nos’ being more powerful than our ‘yeses’ and becoming a mom has made me refocus on what’s important to me,” she explained. “Sometimes it’s hard and painful to say no to things, but I also think that saying no ends up serving you more in the end, because then you can show up in other spaces at your best self.”
