TOP PICK: CARLY ROSE'S FAMILY LeAnn Rimes Threw This Little Girl Under the Bus!

Carly Rose Sonenclar's family is royally pissed off at LeAnn Rimes for -- as they put it -- trashing their daughter's "X Factor" performance Wednesday night.

Sources connected with the family tell us ... the 13-year-old girl's mother is livid that Rimes would dare say Carly Rose was "nervous and had trouble hitting the right notes" when she sang "How Do I Live."

As you know ... Carly Rose did a duet of the song with Rimes on the show. People on social media went crazy after the performance, claiming Rimes was drunk.

TMZ broke the story ... Rimes insists she was sober, but says if things were awkward, it was only because, "I was trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song." Rimes later claimed she never gave a quote, but we can tell you ... her rep specifically gave us the quote and told us we could use it.

Carly Rose's mother and other relatives are telling people they can't believe LeAnn threw their daughter under the bus, and that it was clear -- Carly Rose was a pro and even out-performed LeAnn at her own song.

Demi Lovato sizes up 'X Factor' Final Four

The second season of The X Factor is down to the final four acts, all vying for the top prize, a $5 million recording contract.

Judge Simon Cowell, who has been the mentor of the Group category, has two of the four: Emblem3, a trio of guys from Huntington Beach, Calif.; and Fifth Harmony, a girl group Cowell created at the start of the show.

Judge Britney Spears has one Teen act left: pint-sized powerhouse Carly Rose Sonenclar.

And judge L.A. Reid has one Over 25 act left: country crooner Tate Stevens.

Demi Lovato, who was the judge/mentor of the Young Adult group and who hasn't been afraid to take on Cowell whenever she felt like it, has seen all of her acts exit the show. So we turned to her for an impartial assessment of the singers who are still standing.

Tate Stevens:

His story: He's 37, from Raymore, Mo., and his real name is Stephen Eatinger. Fans love that he's married to his high school sweetheart.

Biggest strength? "Not only is he really talented as a country artist, a lot of the people watching the show and voting are people that are older. It's America," says Lovato. "Everybody loves a good country artist who really embraces what we're all about."

Biggest weakness? "Sometimes he can get a little dull, a little boring. I've seen him perform really well. It's a matter of turning it on and off."

Chances of being signed to a recording contract anyway? "It's a done deal. He definitely will get signed."

One thing he needs to do to win it all? "Just to not get comfortable with his performances. He is one of the best things on the show, but at the same time everything counts. One bad performance can send you home."

Carly Rose Sonenclar

Her story: The 13-year-old singing powerhouse was born in New York City and lives in Mamaroneck, NY. Person she seems closest to in the world is her older brother, Russell.

Biggest strength? "Her biggest strength is her voice," says Lovato. "She's like this freak of nature."

Biggest weakness? "A part of me feels like she's really serious all the time and she always sings these slow songs. I love watching someone that's going to get my energy up. And she's incredible, yes, but it's definitely hard watching her sometimes. I think she's pretty emotional for 13 and I don't know how much she wants to be here. I don't see the drive I see in some of the other contestants' eyes." Lovato says she would "like to see her act like she's having fun."

Chances of being signed to a recording contract anyway? "I think that probably the Disney/Nickelodeon world will try to snatch her up. I think that's obviously a given. Same with Diamond (White, who was sent packing last week). They have careers ahead of them, so they shouldn't worry."

One thing she needs to do to win it all? "With Carly, she's going to have to decide if she's taking the serious route or maybe go the more fun route. Sometimes it's hard to be singing about love at a very young age. Maybe she'll just have to wait until she's older to give it a shot."

Emblem3

Their story: Drew Chadwick, 20; Keaton Stromberg, 16, and his brother, Wesley Stromberg, 18, grew up in Sequim, Wash. They've been singing since they were in diapers.

Biggest strength? "Their biggest strength is their charm," says Lovato. "They're very, very charming boys. They're very cute. They've got the whole surfer boy thing going on. There's a lot of boy bands, yes, but there aren't any that I feel have really, really strong vocals and a unique quality to them."

Biggest weakness? "The thing is, they're not doing what we saw in this very first audition. It was an original song of theirs that I got stuck in my head. Now it's a little uncomfortable because they've become so manufactured. It looked like they were having so much fun. If Simon takes away their originality, it won't work."

Chances of being signed to a recording contract anyway? "They'll be fine after this, whether they win or not. It's guaranteed, the top four will go on."

One thing this act needs to do to win it all? "Staying true to yourself is the biggest advice I can offer to those guys. It's really easy to get taken down a path that you think is best for yourself when you have a lot of people telling you what it is."

Fifth Harmony

Their story: Dinah Jane Hansen (15, Santa Ana, Calif.), Lauren Jauregui (16, Miami), Ally Brooke (19, San Antonio), Normani Hamilton (16, Houston) and Camila Cabello (15, Miami) came together at the end of the X Factor boot camp to form the group that was initially called Lylas and then renamed to 1432 before settling on Fifth Harmony.

Biggest strength? "I am still very skeptical about them," says Lovato. "There's something about them that doesn't always click when you look at them on stage. They're probably really close and great friends. But professionally they should have been smaller or some of the girls should have gone solo. I don't look at them and say they're going to be the next Spice Girls or they have what Destiny's Child child had."

Biggest weakness? "Sometimes visually it gets thrown off because the stylists don't always have it look right. Being a performer, you have to get everything right. If you're doing a girl group you don't have to have them matching, but when you have one tall one wearing jeans and the rest of them wearing dresses, it looks awkward. They have to be able to nail that and figure out their chemistry. Some of them are lacking in the vocal department."

Chances of being signed to a recording contract anyway? "They're really cute girls. I think the tween market will love them. They'll have a good career. It will be interesting to see how far they can take the girl group thing before going solo."

One thing this act needs to do to win it all? "If they did, I'd be really surprised."

Who will win? Without hesitation, Lovato says, "Tate Stevens!"

Carly Rose Soneclar Sang Justin Bieber's Song 'Better' Than He Did, Declares Demi Lovato

Should Justin Bieber be worried about his future in music, especially when X Factor USA finalist Carly Rose Soneclar was praised for her performance of 'As Long As You Love Me' as being better than his?

The super talented finalist took to the stage with her fellow contestants on the show last night to impress the judges, and it appears that Carly impressed Simon Cowell and co the most for her renditions of Justin's song and Beyonce's 'If I Were A Boy'.

Full of praise for the young finalist, judge Demi Lovato declared: "I love it when I hear unplugged versions of songs that are better than the actual songs. You sang it better than Justin did.”

Wow!

Simon Cowell also showered Carly Rose with praise telling her: "This is why I love working in this country. We find people like you. And I’ve gotta tell you, I’m seeing a star emerge in front of me week after week after week.”

L.A. Reid, who was accompanied by Justin during the judges houses stage, added:

"The one thing I’ve always been concerned about was how you could handle yourself as a recording artist.

"What I loved about that performance is that you actually showed some restraint.”

Whilst Carly Rose may have been praised for her performances, the young rising star was quick to thank Beyonce and Justin for their songs.

She tweeted: "Thank you @beyonce and @justinbieber for making these amazing songs. I was honored to perform them on the show! #XFactor."

Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato Butt Heads, Paige Thomas Rickrolls, Diamond White Wants No. 1

Who will be No. 1 on The X Factor this week?

"I want the No. 1 spot, you know, that's what I came here to do," the eerily poised Diamond White announced Wednesday after winning praise all around for going uptempo "I Wanna Dance With Somebody."

Even the often-bored Demi Lovato enjoyed it, although she requested that Diamond "work more on [her] performances"—to which a wide-eyed Simon Cowell responded incredulously, "Demi, I don't know what else this girl could've just brought!"

Paige Thomas, who's been in and out of danger all season, also had the judges rejoicing this week after she managed to freshen up the ever-viral "Never Gonna Give You Up," originally by Rick Astley.

Simon suggested the performance was so successful because Paige "got her own way" (meaning, Demi didn't), and Demi definitely took offense, insisting (when she was able to get a word in edgewise), "We worked on it together."

But both Paige and Diamond may find themselves playing second—and third—fiddle once again to Carly Rose Sonenclar, who, in our opinion, took the real risk by tackling Adele's "Rollin' in the Deep." It wasn't as perfect as "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," but, as Simon said, "the first half was good, the second half was sensational."

Heck, even when Demi and Simon were in agreement about a performance they still found things to bicker about.

"One day, when I get married, I want my husband to love me as much as you love your wife," Demi praised Tate Stevens after he worked his usual country magic on Keith Urban's "I Want to Love Somebody Like You." "She's a very lucky girl."

"Demi, I think that might have been a bit of a tall order, actually," cracked Simon. (A little below the belt, don't you think?)

"Well, at least I'm going to be married one day," she retorted.

"You don't think I will? One day I might get married," Simon said. "This is about Tate," Demi fired back, putting a lid on the exchange.

Turning in performances that probably won't get them to No. 1 this week were Vino Alan (his "You Lost That Loving Feeling" was kind of a snoozer, and not just to Demi) and CeCe Frey, who got a little lost in her Lady Gaga look and Christina Aguilera impression doing "Lady Marmalade."

Khloé Kardashian Odom reveals who's Photoshopped in the Kardashian Xmas card
Fifth Harmony pulled through in the wake of the death of Ally Brooke's grandfather, the lyrics of Kelly Clarkson's "What Doesn't Kill You" certainly fitting at the time. But, as Demi pointed out, it would have been better if they had moved around on the stage more and L.A. Reid noted that they sounded a bit flat.

Emblem3 split the vote with their rather adorable rendition of the Monkees' "I'm a Believer." Interestingly, both Demi and Britney Spears didn't get it, and the elder statesmen loved it.

"If I were chairman of a major record label, which I am, I would sign you and put the entire building behind you—because you have the X Factor!" L.A. raved.

Two more aspiring stars will be sent home tomorrow night. Alicia Keys and last year's runner-up, Josh Krajcik, will perform.

Emotions run high on X Factor USA as Demi Lovato fights to hold back the tears... while Britney Spears fluffs her lines

X Factor judge Demi Lovato sobbed her way through Monday night’s show while a visibly nervous Britney Spears gave short, repetitive answers and fluffed her lines on the auto cue.

In honour of the Thanksgiving holiday each contestant dedicated their song to a person who has helped them throughout their lives.

With emotional back-stories ranging from a mother who died on Christmas Eve (Paige Thomas) to a sister lost to Cerebral Palsy (CeCe Frey) Disney actress Lovato could hardly keep her eyes dry.

Meanwhile Britney Spears seemed anxious and restlessly looked around the room between songs.

When it was her turn to comment The Toxic singer smiled uneasily and she muddled her auto cue when introducing the last act of the night - Carly Rose Sonenclar.

'Now get ready to be amazed all over again,' read Britney woodenly before the 13-year-old’s song.

'This is Arin Ray…errr no it’s not Arin Ray… it’s Carly Rose,' she blundered.

For the contestants pressure was mounting as they face another double elimination tomorrow.

First up was last week’s favourite, Tate Stevens, who sang the country song, I'm Already There, which he devoted to his father.

'Your performances are always so special and so touching,' said Britney, who wore a royal blue cropped dress with chainmail top - to reveal her washboard stomach.

But Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato were not completely convinced by the cowboy-hat wearing crooner.

'I feel as if maybe this wasn’t your best performance but it was still incredible,' said Lovato, who was dressed in a sleeveless metallic dress.

'Your voice was breaking in parts, it wasn’t as strong as it has been,' said Cowell.

Adding: 'But that does that mean that you’re going home tomorrow? Not a cat in hell’s chance.'

From Britney’s team 13-year-old Diamond White, who grew up without a father, sang Celine Dion’s ‘Because You Loved Me’ for her mother.

'I cannot imagine even carrying on without my mom,” said the teenager tearfully.

'She has always been my everything.'

Her ballad provoked a standing ovation from the judges and caused Lovato to break down in tears for the first time during the live show.

'You’ve never had a moment like that baby. Unless I’m dead wrong we’re gonna be hearing your name for many, many years. You are the truth ' said music executive and producer La Reid, 56.

'You literally gave me chills. You’re mum is hysterically crying in the crowd there and you made Demi cry,' exclaimed host Khloé Kardashian-Odom, who was being watched from the audience by her entire family and her sister’s boyfriend Kanye West.

'What an emotional night,' said Kardashian’s co-host Mario Lopez.

Next on the bill were Cowell’s boy-band Emblem3 who sang the One Republic hit Secrets for their youth club leaders.

'For me your performance lacked emotion,' said Reid.

'I thought it was very emotional,' breathed Lovato.

'I thought it was a great change of pace with more emotion,' disagreed Cowell.

'Don’t listen to the Grinch on my right,' said Cowell.

'I want to thank you guys for being such a pleasure to work with,' added the music mogul.

Britney’s protégée Arin Ray failed to impress the judges when he sang Hero by Enrique Iglesias for his older brother.

'It was a great song choice but I feel like it was too big for you,' said Reid.

'There’s a $5 million price at the end of this and I don’t feel like you gave me a $5million performance,' he added.

Lovato was even more harsh, saying: 'If I owned a record label I wouldn’t have signed you, I was just so bored.'

CeCe Frey tearfully dedicated her performance to her sister Kelsey, who died at age 7, after suffering from Cerebral Palsy.

'I always feel that Kelsey is watching over me and that she is my guardian angel,' said the singer who channeled old-fashioned Hollywood glamour to sing Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings.

'I felt every word of this song,' praised Reid.

'You poured your heart and soul into that. I thought you were amazing,' said Spears.

'I like you and I hope the public keep you in this competition,' said Cowell and as CeCe sobbed from the emotion of the song Lovato had to look away.

'I can’t look at you because I’ll start crying again,' sniffed the Disney actress and pop star, 20.

Religious girl band Fifth Harmony chose to devote their song to God.

'We love God,' they chimed before hitting the stage in hot pants and skinny jeans for The Pretenders song I’ll Stand By You.

Britney’s teen sensation Beatrice Miller sang Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol for her two adopted sisters, who have learning disabilities.

Sporting multi-coloured hair and an abundance of oversize jewellery the 13-year old choked while singing her heartfelt ballad.

'You are so adorable,' said Reid.

From La Reid’s team heavily-tattooed Vino Alan sang for the troops in the US military.

'From the moment they get up to the moment they sleep their lives are always in danger for us,' he said.

While thumping his heart and gesturing repeatedly to the sky he belted out the patriotic Lee Greenwood song God Bless the U.S.A.

'I think on the back of this we could be seeing you at number one tomorrow,' he added.

She was at the bottom of the leader board last week and Paige Thomas failed to melt the judges with a rendition of Everytime by Britney Spears.

The emotional song was dedicated to Colleen, the woman who cared for Paige after her mother was killed in a car accident on Christmas eve.

Last on the bill was one of last week’s favourites, Carly Rose Sonenclar.

Despite having her intro muddled by Britney Spears Carly, 13, gave it her all for the classic song Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz.

Her performance gained a standing ovation from all four judges, 'you are an absolute force of nature,' said Reid.
