Little Mix has cancelled their upcoming North American “Salute” tour dates.

The girls — Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards — alerted their fans on their website.

“As a group we decided that creating an amazing 3rd album had to take priority,” the group shared. “We’re so sorry to all the Mixers who bought tickets to come and see the show. As soon as the album is finished, we promise to make plans to return to the US and perform for you all.”

A full refund will be available to all ticket holders at point of purchase.

Watch the moment Demi Lovato pranked Little Mix on stage dressed as a snowman

Demi Lovato played a brilliant prank on Little Mix to mark their final night on tour with her.

The chart-topping girl band have been supporting the Skyscraper singer on the American leg of her Neon Lights tour.

Prankster Lovato invaded the stage dressed as a snowman to dance and shimmy with the five-piece as they belted out their track Salute.



Props to the girls, they didn’t seem to mind sharing the stage with their cool new friend and took it all in their stride.

Lovato later tweeted a picture which she captioned: ‘Tonight’s prank for @LittleMixOffic’s last show on the #NEONLIGHTSTOUR … Hehe love you girls!!!’

Cher Lloyd will now join X Factor USA group Fifth Harmony as Lovato’s opening act for the remaining US dates which finish on March 30. The tour will then head to South America in April.

Union J: 'Taylor Swift, Little Mix inspired new album'

Union J have spoken about their forthcoming second album.

The X Factor boyband - who scored two Top 10 hits in the UK last year - have described the record as having a similar sound to Taylor Swift and Little Mix.

George Shelley told Capital FM: "[It's] uptempo. It's kind of got a country twist to it. If you can imagine Taylor Swift meets Little Mix meets Union J."

Meanwhile, Jaymi Hensley said that the new album will allow the group to be who they really are.

He explained: "I think we've had like a month or so off now to get back to who we really are without the whole of last year's campaign and who we were on X Factor."

Hensley recently told Digital Spy: "I think we all - ourselves included - rested on our laurels being from The X Factor and One Direction coming from the show, and just thought it might be a lot easier."

Their self-titled debut album peaked at number six in the UK and at number eight in Ireland last November.

The girls — Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards — opened up about missing out on the higher education rituals that come with the territory. Check it:

Jesy on skipping higher education: “I was rubbish at school. I was never destined to have anything to do with education – it just wasn’t on my radar. If I wasn’t in Little Mix, I’d probably still be a barmaid, trying to work out what to do with my life… My best friend started uni before I did X Factor, but I wasn’t too jealous, although I do feel envious of her lie-ins, because we don’t get any sleep, ever!”

Perrie on shopping in her pajamas: “I go to the shops in my PJs all the time! Especially when I’m with my best friend Catherine and we’re in Newcastle. If it’s really late – like four in the morning – we’ll have cravings for crisps and snacks, so we’ll drive to the 24-hour Tesco. Nobody’s ever at Tesco at that time; it’s nice and empty.”





Leigh-Anne on her cleanliness: “The idea of house-sharing is probably my worst nightmare. I hate cleaning up after other people! When the girls come for lunch or rehearsals at mine, I make them eat on plastic plates so I don’t have to wash up! I’d be like the mum of the house.”

Jade on having that time away from the band: “We’re together 24/7, but luckily we don’t get sick of each other. When you’re living so close to other people, honesty is key: being forward and open. If you’ve got a problem, you say it and you sort it out. Alone time is important too. We always have separate hotel rooms – so, if you do want to have some downtime, you can.”

One Direction And Little Mix On Tour Together?

Although their time on Demi Lovato's Neon Lights Tour is almost up, Little Mix's schedule won't be letting up.

The British girl group — Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jade — will head back to England, where they're set to kick off the Salute Tour on May 16, their first headlining arena tour.

"I think with our own tour ... we get to have tour outfits and stage production — it's gonna be, like, a million times more vamped up," Jesy said during our "Live From MTV" special on Monday. "We are so excited because we've worked so hard on our ideas and everything that we want and how we want it to be and the theme."

And fans lucky enough to attend the show in England in May just might get to enjoy another U.K. band, also on tour. One Direction will launch their worldwide Where We Are Tour in April, and the guys, of course, have some history with Little Mix.

Both groups competed on the U.K. version of "The X Factor," and ever since, their fanbases have been dying for Little Mix and 1D to join forces and head out on the road together. We asked the girls if that might become a reality soon.

"There was talks about it but it just clashed; we are so busy," Jesy said of a possible tour with 1D. "And, God, they are really, really busy. But you never know though, but for now, no."

So it doesn't seem like we'll get a co-headlining run from the U.K. chart-toppers, but fans will see a Mixer and a Directioner walk down the aisle, thanks to Perrie and Zayn Malik, who confirmed their engagement in August 2013.

Between their respective tours and albums, the couple haven't found too much time for planning. But Perrie revealed that she does have one important detail locked down, and it has to do with her bridesmaids' dresses.

"Definitely not white," Perrie said, before adding that she actually has "no idea." "Literally, I haven't got a clue of what's going to go on: Planning a tour, planning this, planning that — I haven't had time really. But I'll definitely get into it, [and the dresses are] definitely not going to be white."

Little Mix Cement Demi Lovato Friendship By Meeting Her 'Beautiful And Lovely' Mother

Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall has said the girlband have struck up a close friendship with Demi Lovato while on tour with her in North America, and have now even met the former Disney star's family.

Last night when the cute Geordie popstar bid goodnight to the group's 5.3 million Twitter followers, a fan asked after the quartet's relationship with the headline act.

"we are [friends],we met Mammy Demi today n she was beautiful n lovely (sic)," Jade replied. "her sister was so sweet, now I know why they're so pretty! X".

The Neon Lights jaunt, which also features Cher Lloyd and Fifth Harmony as support acts, will be coming to a close very soon, and Jade's bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock is gutted it'll all be over.

"This tour has been so much fun can't believe it's over soon! :(," she wrote. "love you so much mixers.. ".

Little Mix will be playing David Letterman's late-night chatshow tonight as their US conquest continues.

The band's second album Salute bowed at No6 on the Billboard Hot 100 after briefly topping the US iTunes chart, becoming their second Top 10 album in the country in as many years.

Here in the UK, they release their Sport Relief single 'Word Up!' on Sunday (March 16).

Zayn Malik Watches Fiancee Perrie Edwards Perform On Demi Lovato Tour Ahead Of Valentine's Day (WATCH)

Zayn Malik had the look of love about him last night when he was spotted at Demi Lovato's concert in California to watch his fiancee Perrie Edwards perform with Little Mix but some members of the audience seemed happier to see him than the girl band, getting themselves into a frenzy at the mere sight of the hottie.

The One Direction star jetted over to the US this week and headed over to the Honda Center in Anaheim yesterday evening where former X Factor judge Demi performed the latest show on her Neon Lights tour but of course, Zayn was really there to see his pretty girlfriend on stage.

In fan footage filmed at the show, Zayn, 21, can be seen accompanied by burly security guards while being led to his seat with mobs of hysterical fans surrounding him but the heartthrob seemed to find the whole palaver rather hilarious and can be seen laughing in the midst of the chaos.

With Little Mix on a break from Demi's tour tonight, it looks as though the happy couple, who got engaged last summer, will most likely be spending Valentine's Day together and will most likely make up for the time spent away from each other recently.

Perrie, 20, recently discussed their wedding plans but it looks as though there's only one thing on her mind at the moment. When asked by Wendy Williams if the preparations are coming together, Perrie said: “Well, not yet, but we've been shopping haven't we?' said Perrie to her bandmates.

"They dragged me into a wedding dress shop, so hopefully you'll get one [a wedding] soon."

Not surprisingly, the 'Wings' star also revealed that her 1D beau hasn't exactly been helping out with moving the plans along, telling MTV: “He said: 'You know what? The wedding, it's all about the lady.' He went: 'Honestly, it's your day. You're the princess. You go all out and then just let me know what you want'.”

"I went: 'You're not getting out of it that easy, love.' I went: 'You're planning it with us, thank you very much.' He thought he was clever, but no, I'm one step ahead."

Little Mix Touring With One Direction? Will Little Mix Be 1D's Opening Act?

Is Little Mix touring with One Direction?

Rumors are swirling and it's no wonder--Columbia Records' website posted a pic that seems to make the case for these groups taking it on the road together.

The image shows the Little Mix girls and says "Supporting: Demi Now, 1D This Summer."

For real?

That sounds like they've all but put the announcement out there and they are touring with Demi, so that part is 100% a done deal.

Directioners were quick to dive into a little investigation to see if this 1D/Little Mix tour pairing was even possible and found that some of the girl's Salute tour dates conflicted with the Where We Are tour.

And then there's Perrie Edwards' mom's take on all the buzz, as a fan asked her if Little Mix would be 1D's opening act.

Her response? "Dont think so baba xx"

But in the event this turns out to be true...Zayn and Perrie sharing the stage would be kind of epic.
