Taylor Swift performed her 100th show of Speak Now tour on Sunday at the Adelaide Entertainment Center in Australia.

Earlier on Friday, the 6-time GRAMMY winner kicked off the final leg of her world tour on Friday, March 2 at Perth's Burswood Dome.

Swift's performance wowed her fans and critics alike. The Sunday Times (Perth) dubbed her show "dazzling," writing that she "had 16,000 people in the palm of her hand."

Adelaide Now said Taylor "delighted the crowd" and "was at her best….genuinely loving being on stage…..letting her vocal cords wow the crowd."

During the tour, Taylor played 98 shows in stadiums and arenas in 17 countries around the globe in 2011, and the tour concludes this month with 12 shows in Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the animation film Dr. Seuss's The LORAX, in which Swift voices the character of Audrey, earned $70.7 million over the weekend, scoring the biggest box-office debut of the year.

Taylor Swift Not Ready To 'Put Down' Speak Now Tour

Taylor Swift will launch the next leg of her highly successful Speak Now Tour next month, and she's excited by all the possibilities the trek will bring this time around.

"We're going to Australia and New Zealand, because we are never done touring," she joked to MTV News during "MTV First: Taylor Swift," when she premiered her new video for the "Hunger Games" track "Safe & Sound."

"I'm really excited about going back to Australia and New Zealand because, well, New Zealand, it's the first time I've ever been there, and the Australian fans have been so good to me," she continued. "And this will be my third time going back there. I loved this show so much, the Speak Now Tour, that I didn't necessarily want to put it down. I hope they like it. I love going there. It's always really wonderful. The people are so nice."

The last time she hit the road, she was joined by a laundry list of A-listers, including T.I., Flo Rida, Usher and Paramore leading lady Hayley Williams, to name a few. And she still can't believe all those people agreed to perform with her.

"It's been crazy. Between all the guest artists that have come out and come onstage and surprised the audience, that was, I think, my favorite part of touring this year, because the audience never knew what they were going to get," she said. "And I loved that experience, and even walking around L.A., people come up to me, these girls will come up to me [like] 'I was at the Staples show where Justin Bieber came out' [or] 'I was at the one where Ellen and Nicki Minaj came out,' and it's just really fun, because you start to realize that concert meant something to them, and that's nice."

Not only did all those famous faces perform with Swift, but she also had one of the top-grossing tours of the year. "That's the fans doing that," she said. "I'm kind of blown away by that."

Taylor Swift Speak Now World Tour Is Tops for 2011

We knew she had one of the most popular tours of 2011, but now we know that Taylor Swift entertained the most audience members as well. The tallies are in, and the 22-year-old officially drew the largest crowd for her Speak Now world tour last year.

The 'Ours' singer outsold U2 with the last leg of her globe-trotting trek to take the No. 1 spot, according to StubHub. Lady Gaga came in third, with fellow country star Kenny Chesney's Goin' Coastal tour claiming the fourth spot, and Katy Perry rounding out the top five.

Taylor also had the most popular music event in three major cities last year -- Hartford, Conn., Atlanta and Orlando. Kenny's tour, which included the Zac Brown Band, Uncle Kracker and Billy Currington, claimed two urban areas -- Boston and Kansas City, Mo.

Taylor's 98-city outing, which featured guest appearances by artists from all genres (Justin Bieber, Usher, Tim McGraw and Hot Chelle Rae, to name a few), was so successful thanks to the attention the entertainer gave to every detail of the show.

"I am so proud of this tour, and the reason why it's so much fun is because I obsess over how to treat each song," the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year explains. "One of the things that I love about the Speak Now tour is that it's very theatrical, and each song has its own treatment. The reason I obsess over it so much is that I obsess over writing [the songs] so much."

Fans who didn't get to see Taylor shine on stage can still watch the songbird in action, thanks to a CD/DVD combo pack of her performance live. She will wrap up the cross-cultural tour in March with a series of shows in Australia and New Zealand. See her remaining dates here.

The singer-songwriter will spend the weekend in Los Angeles, where she will perform during the Grammy Awards telecast. She's also nominated in three categories, including Best Country Solo Performance for her self-penned hit, 'Mean.'

The Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center, Feb. 12 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

Taylor Swift Gets 'Much Love' From Flo Rida

Taylor Swift has shared the stage with some of the biggest (and most surprising) artists during her Speak Now Tour. Everyone from Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez to Bruce Springsteen has graced the stage with the pop darling in 2011.

During a Miami tour stop last month, the singer brought Flo Rida onstage to perform his very blush-inducing track "Right Round." And if you were surprised to hear about the collaboration, Flo told MTV News at Los Angeles' Jingle Ball over the weekend that he was just as shocked.

"I was in Australia. I got home, and I was actually staying in my condo for the day," he explained. "And I looked down, 'cause my condo, it's right across the street from the arena, and I was like, 'I wonder who's performing?' So I went down there, spur-of-the-moment, and they told me it was Taylor."

Initially, Flo Rida just wanted a chance to catch the show, but when he spoke to her people, it turned into a whole different opportunity. "I spoke with them, and they asked me to perform," he said. "And she was very nice and very humble. I had an amazing time. Her fans are over-the-top. It was crazy. Much love to Taylor Swift."

Swift wrapped up her tour in New York last month. During her Atlanta stop over the summer, she brought another rapper onstage with her: T.I. "I was pleasantly surprised and confused," T.I. told MTV News of receiving the phone call from Swift. "I was confused because I know it's a phenomenal opportunity, but being T.I. — the Rubberband Man — and Taylor Swift being America's Sweetheart, I had just gotten out of prison, like, two days [earlier], and all of a sudden my phone rings."

While the hip-hop appearances on her tour might seem surprising, Swift assured us in October that she really loves the genre. "I'm a huge hip-hop fan, and it's been so amazing to have so many incredible artists come out and to get to sing the hooks on their songs that I've been blasting in my car for the last couple years," she said. "It's been awesome. I couldn't have asked for more amazing special guests on this tour."

Taylor Swift, ‘Ours’ – Lyrics Uncovered

Taylor Swift has thus far kept predictably quiet about who the lyrics of her new single ‘Ours’ are about, but this doesn’t mean one can’t make an educated guess about the love interest’s identity. Previously, fans could only hear the song if they bought the deluxe edition of ‘Speak Now’ from Target, but now all three bonus songs from that album are available on iTunes.

Swift offers very little insight about ‘Ours’ in an official statement she’s made about the song (quote courtesy of her label, Big Machine): “It’s about being in love with someone, and people don’t necessarily think it is a good idea, and everybody’s giving you a hard time about it but you don’t really care,” she says. The lyrics give us that much.

“‘Cause I love the gap between your teeth / And I love the riddles that you speak / And any snide remarks from my father about your tattoos will be ignored / ‘Cause my heart is yours,” she sings in the lyrics of the song’s most leading verse. So, we’re looking for a guy with tattoos and a gap between his teeth.

Rumored ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal was pictured with a Pittsburgh Steelers tattoo that might offend Swift’s father — a Philadelphia Eagles fan — but that turned out to be a fake. Plus, he has near perfect teeth, and even if he began dating Swift before the record was released (media reports show them together as early as Nov. 2010), it wasn’t early enough to allow her time to write and record a song for inclusion. Albums are typically finished weeks, if not months, prior to release.

Swift’s ‘Mine’ video (filmed in the summer of 2010) co-star Toby Hemingway may fit the timeline, but his tattoos are hardly offensive. In fact, unless the actor was strutting around without a shirt on in front of Swift’s dad, he probably wouldn’t have even seen them. Hemingway does have a sizable gap between his teeth, though.

But nobody criticized him as much as Swift’s relationship with John Mayer, which is already the subject of at least one song on ‘Speak Now.’ His arm is covered in tattoos, and his reputation as a ladies man would make him every father’s nightmare. Photos of the singer are almost exclusively tight-lipped, but some say he has a gap in his bottom teeth. There’s speculation that more that one song on ‘Speak Now’ is about Mayer; some suggest as many as six, although that seems unlikely.

The problem is it’s difficult to imagine someone who’s been hurt so deeply singing the lyrics of a song like ‘Ours’ in public: “So don’t you worry your pretty little mind / People throw rocks at things that shine / And life makes love look hard / The stakes are high, the water’s rough / But this love is ours.”

Fans may be forever left guessing the identity of the muse that inspired her ‘Ours’ lyrics, as neither she nor he seem willing to let the secret slip between their gapped (or gapless) teeth.

One Swift kick to end the CMA Awards show

Taylor Swift regained the crown she last won in 2009 as she was named entertainer of the year at Wednesday's 45th Country Music Association Awards in Nashville.

After accepting the award, a bubbly Swift held up her wrist and began reading off a list of the artists who had performed with her on her top-drawing Speak Now world tour this year, including Tim McGraw, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Hot Chelle Rae, Kenny Chesney and Usher.

"This is amazing, the camaraderie among artists," Swift said. "You have made my year."

The year, and perhaps a career, was also made for The Band Perry. Nominated for four top awards, the emerging ensemble won new artist and single and song of the year for If I Die Young, losing only to Lady Antebellum in the vocal-group category.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, his wife of six months, continued to reap presents as both were named top vocalist in their respective categories. "It's gonna be a good night, baby," Lambert cooed to her husband after her win.

Jason Aldean, who was nominated in five categories, won his first-ever CMA trophies: album of the year for My Kinda Party (the year's top country seller) and musical event for his Don't You Wanna Stay duet with Kelly Clarkson.

As Sugarland accepted its fifth consecutive vocal-duo award, Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles gave a shout-out to fans in Indiana. In August, before the duo's performance at the Indiana State Fair, an outdoor stage collapsed, killing seven people.

The show, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, had one indisputable emotional highlight: Glen Campbell watched from the audience and mouthed the words as Paisley, Vince Gill and Keith Urban sang a medley of his hits. Campbell announced this year that he has Alzheimer's disease and will no longer record.

TAYLOR SWIFT FILMING VIDEO FOR ‘OURS’

Taylor Swift told the world Thursday that she’s busy working on a new music video. Swift tweeted, “About to wrap day 2 of a new music video that I can’t WAIT for you to see!!” While she didn’t give away which song the video is for, our friends at Taste of Country suggest it will be the ‘Speak Now’ deluxe edition bonus track, ‘Ours.’

Those who have seen Swift’s Speak Now Tour may be familiar with ‘Ours,’ as she has been performing the song as part of her encore. It’s a mid-tempo track about a couple who know that others don’t approve of their relationship, but they ignore the talking behind their back:

“Elevator buttons and morning air / Strangers’ silence makes me want to take the stairs / If you were here, we’d laugh about their vacant stares / But right now my time is theirs / Seems like there’s always someone who disapproves / They’ll judge it like they know about me and you / And the verdict comes from those with nothing else to do / The jury’s out, my choice is you.”

Swift finished off her tweet by adding, “While we wait, shall we all vote for the AMA’s? ” Swift is a nominee at the fan-voted American Music Awards for Artist of the Year, Favorite Country Album and Favorite Country Female Artist. She walked away with five awards at the ceremony in 2009.

'Mean' moment leads to CMA nom for Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift turned a negative into a positive, and it has netted her a special nomination at this year's Country Music Association Awards.

Swift received her first CMA song of the year nomination for "Mean," her spunky rebuttal to cynical criticism. That trophy goes to the writer, not the artist, and is among Wednesday night's most coveted awards in a town where the songwriter is celebrated and revered.

"Respectfully, it's about time," said Scott Borchetta, head of Swift's label, Big Machine Records. "I don't think she gets near the props she deserves for her songwriting. I've been in the business with Taylor for almost seven years now and her songs were great when I met her at 14."

Swift has gotten her share of love for her songwriting. She won a Grammy for best country song in 2010. Nashville Songwriters Association International has named her songwriter/artist of the year four of the last five years -- and at 21 she remains the youngest winner of that award. And BMI, the performing rights organization, has awarded her all-genre song of the year once and country song of the year three times.

She's won a trunk full of CMA trophies, including top award entertainer of the year in 2009. But she's never broken through in that songwriting category.

"Mean," a retort to nit-pickers, bullies and perhaps curmudgeonly commentator Bob Lefsetz, was hard to resist. It shows Swift at her best. It's both vulnerable and confident, with an infectious chorus, an upbeat, empowering message and among her most countrified instrumentation built around Swift's six-string banjo line.

The song went to No. 1 on the country and adult contemporary charts.

"Getting a CMA nomination for `Mean' was definitely a jumping-up-and-down moment for me because this song is really close to my heart," Swift said in a statement to The Associated Press. "I'm so thrilled it was nominated for song of the year because it's a song that I wrote on a really, really bad day, but it has produced so many happy days for me since."

With more to come perhaps. Brad Paisley, a six-time nominee in the category, believes Swift has been unfairly overlooked as a songwriter among the industry voters who make up the CMA. He points out that most of the voters are in their 30s and 40s, and older. This year's nomination could be a breakthrough.

"There's no 18-year-old in the world that you talk to who doesn't relate to some of her lyrics," Paisley said. "And in that sense, though, she's laughing all the way to the bank as the voters might be saying, `Well, you know, that's not for me.' That's not fair. In some ways it's even more groundbreaking what she's done. I'm proud of what she's done."

Other nominees in the category are Zac Brown, Coy Boyles, Wyatt Durette and Levi Lowry for Zac Brown Band's "Colder Weather," Kimberly Perry for The Band Perry's "If I Die Young," Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford for Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" and Deana Carter and Matraca Berg for Kenny Chesney's "You and Tequila." The field can be considered wide open with Berg the only previous winner, in 1997, as co-writer of "Strawberry Wine."

Swift might not win, of course. But like the song points out, she's already a winner.

"She's just been on an amazing streak," Borchetta said. "Whatever her surroundings, wherever she happened to be, this is what she saw. And (the songs) are very sophisticated. They're very catchy. She's a brilliant songwriter and if you ask any of the other artists who are hip to her, they know. So I'm thrilled the CMA has acknowledged her."

The CMA Awards air Wednesday on ABC (8 p.m. EST).

Is Taylor Swift the Next R&B Star After Duets with Usher & T.I.?

We didn't see this coming! Taylor Swift just keeps pulling out the surprises on her 'Speak Now Tour.' After star-studded shows in Nashville and Los Angeles, the 21-year-old continued the fun in Atlanta.

Taylor played two shows in ATL over the weekend and on Saturday, she brought out Usher to sing "Yeah!" and boy was the crowd excited. Taylor busted out some rapping and after the song Usher brought his adorable sons on stage. Taylor tweeted after the show, "I got to say 'peace up, A-town down' in atlanta then @UsherRaymondIV came out and sang 'Yeah!' with me. I'm thinking 'is this real life?"

She returned to the stage on Sunday night and partway through her set she sang the opening chorus of T.I.'s hit song "Live Your Life" - and the crowd went into a frenzy when the newly-freed rapper appeared onstage to perform with Swift.

After the show, she tweeted, "Singing 'Live Your Life' with TI tonight was unreal. LOUDEST screams from the crowd, 14,000 people, hands in the air - welcome back Tip (T.I.)!!"

Nelly and Young Jeezy were also hanging out at the show. So, after hearing Taylor sing with T.I., Usher, and Nicki Minaj (in LA), we started thinking. Maybe Taylor should test out a new sound on her new album. Maybe a little R&B and some collaborations on the next one?
