Liam Hemsworth is finally talking about his relationship with Miley Cyrus. Well, sort of. The Hunger Games star recently mentioned his ex's name while out with friends.

According to the New York Post, Liam talked Miley up at dinner with pals at a restaurant called Puny in Portofino, Italy, last week. He was heard saying they would, "always be best friends," and that they had "an instantaneous and powerful connection."

The insider said, "Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other. He also said they bought a lot of furniture but he had to leave it behind when they broke up and he got his new place, which was furnished."

All of this comes after reports he was ignoring her, and ready for her to move on. Think this latest convo was just him talking their failed relationship up to his friends, or maybe things are getting a little better with Miley?

Hunky Liam Hemsworth and ex fiancee, twerk-tastic superstar, Miley Cyrus are not at loggerheads but "best friends with a powerful connection".

Breaking his stony silence since their August 2013 split, Liam, 23, was heard telling pals they would “always be best friends” and they had “an instantaneous and powerful connection.”

According to Page Six, the Hunger Games star was speaking about his hot ex at a restaurant Puny in Portofino, Italy, last week.

Miley has since spoken about their split, saying there were "no lies" but now she has the freedom to be herself.

Speaking earlier this year, she said: "I don’t think I realized what 19 truly is, and I got engaged at 19, and I definitely wouldn’t change being engaged."

"It was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years," she says of her one-and-a-half year engagement to the actor. "But now, I just feel like I can actually be happy. I wait for those moments of silence, when I’m just at my house, by myself.”

Since her split Miley's image has got raunchier and raunchier.

The twerkster has been all over Europe lately with her exciting/terrifying outfits.

She also took to the stage at the Capital Summertime Ball at the weekend in a very tight silver skirt and top covered in pom poms and flowers for her performance.

The Wrecking Ball singer surrounded herself with topless dancers wearing nothing but silver nipple tassles, and a LOT of giant rolled-up cigarette props, which spurted out smoke every now and then.

Last week, the pixie-haired songstress took to the stage in Madrid in a painful-looking leotard made from $20 bills .

As well as doing her usual bumping, grinding and bum-shaking, Miley decided to give herself a rather painful-looking wedgie while sticking out her infamous tongue.

Liam Hemsworth Shuts Down Miley Cyrus, Tells Her to Move On

Liam Hemsworth is officially that ex-boyfriend we all hate. There are new reports that he's totally over Miley Cyrus, and wants her to move on.

We all thought the former love birds had a chance to reconcile, but that's apparently not the case. According to In Touch magazine, Liam isn't interested in Miley anymore, despite all of her new ways of trying to get his attention.

All of this comes after she supposedly started catching feelings for Liam again after he reached out to her during her hospitalization a few months ago. Since then, Miley has been seen giving herself a frontal wedgie and humping a banana at her shows...Perhaps all of that might be why her almost-husband isn't feeling her anymore? Just a thought...

Miley Cyrus has reportedly touched on her break up with Liam Hemsworth in new song Last Goodbye.

The single was leaked on the internet on Friday before being quickly removed from YouTube.

But some resourceful fans managed to scribble down some of the lyrics before it disappeared.

It is nine months since Miley, 21, and Liam broke off their engagement, and the new song appears to tell some of the story behind it.

The lyrics, as reported by Hollywood Life, include the lines: "We never said that we would be perfect, We only said that we tried.

"And when you said that we were forever, I guess that’s just another lie, Let me slip right through your fingers, I hope you know it’s real this time."

Miley and Liam had split up twice before they ended their engagement - a pattern she seems to discuss in Last Goodbye.

She said: "I don’t wanna let you go if you still love me, Cause I don’t wanna see you cry.

"But it feels like you and I are dying, And there’s no one that can save our lives."

Miley is reportedly missing Liam and wants him back.

While performing at London's G.A.Y. club Saturday night, the 21-year-old launched into a long rant about her exes -- well, "particularly one" -- when introducing "Wrecking Ball." In her expletive-filled speech, the singer blasted this specific "piece of shit" of an ex, telling him to "suck [her] fat dick" and "enjoy hearing this song for the rest of your life."

Naturally, all eyes turned to Cyrus' most recent lover, ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth.



"Every time you get in your car, you're going to hear my fucking song on the fucking radio, you piece of shit. That's right. And then I'm gonna take all my clothes off, I'm gonna sit on a big, giant dick -- sometimes two -- I'm gonna swing around, and then I'm gonna hold the record for the most-watched music video on Vevo," she said. "So then -- you know, you can tell a lot about a person -- I think you can tell how big their dick is by how much confidence they have usually, and if I was a dude I'd probably have a really big dick, 'cause I feel really good about myself now."

Previously, Our Lady of Twerk poked fun at her broken engagement to the Hunger Games actor during a concert on her Bangerz Tour. Miley Cyrus 'Mad At Liam Hemsworth's Catching Fire Co-Star Jennifer Lawrence'

Jennifer Lawrence recently claimed she finds it disgusting that "young sex sells" in Hollywood while promoting the latest Hunger Games movie Catching Fire and according to a new report, Miley Cyrus, who it's been claimed the comments were aimed at, isn't too happy about what was said.

The 23-year-old Oscar winner was asked about the use of sexuality in entertainment during an interview with BBC's Newsnight, with the interviewer mentioning Miley Cyrus' name as an example. Lawrence made it clear it wasn't something she'd be getting involved in and claims it was "disgusting" to her.

"It's a part of the entertainment industry that sells - sex sells. And for some disgusting reason, young sex sells even more," she said.

"It's not really something that I worry about because I feel like everybody's kind of got their own path and they have their own way of finding themselves. And for some people, that's how they feel best, that's how they feel sexy, that's how they want to perform. ... I'm just saying, to each their own."

According to Heat magazine, while Jennifer didn't name the Wrecking Ball star, who is famous for her skimpy outfits and wild performances, the 21 year-old still wasn't happy, especially as Jen's co-star in the movie is Cyrus' ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth.

"Miley feels like Jennifer always tries to act like a feminist in all her interviews, but then poses in a revealing dress to promote her film. That seems so fake to her," a source told the magazine.
"Miley's mad as hell. She thinks Jen is such a hypocrite - she basically wears nothing but body paint in X-Men - how is that not using sex to sell? And then, she was all over Liam on the red carpet."

Miley and Jennifer have always been rumoured to have had a difficult relationship, with the We Can't Stop babe said to be jealous of Jen's close relationship with Liam while they were together.
