Selena Gomez & The Scene Mix It Up with MyRmx

Selena Gomez and The Scene are teaming up with myRMX to launch a new app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The band is putting their fans first by giving them the opportunity to re-imagine their music with myRMX and share their creations with friends and the social web. The Selena Gomez and The Scene/myRMX App will include “I Don’t Miss You At All” and “I Won’t Apologize.”

myRMX is a unique iPhone/iPod Touch experience that allows users to remix their favorite artists’ songs with a fun, intuitive interface. Users may save their mixes and share those mixes with friends via email, and by posting the sharecodes that myRMX produces on their social sites

Selena Gomez and The Scene on myRMX for the iPhone/iPod Touch now available in the iTunes App Store for $2.99.

Congratulations to Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez!

Miley’s latest album, Can’t Be Tamed, just went gold in Australia. She wrote on facebook: Thank you to all my Australian fans for making my latest album Can’t Be Tamed a certifed GOLD album!!

Selena and her band were surprised with gold and platinum plaques at her recent backyard bbq birthday bash. Her album, Kiss & Tell, was certified gold, while her single “Naturally” has gone platinum.

Selena Gomez Gets Double Celebration Cakes

Selena Gomez has got two huge cakes during her 18th birthday party. Throwing a party to celebrate turning of age at her Los Angeles home, the Disney beauty was presented with a cake that resembles the cover of her "Kiss and Tell" album and a birthday cake that also showed her other achievements this year.

Just Jared Jr., which brought the photos of Selena's celebration cakes to attention, reported that the songstress was given her "Kiss and Tell" cake since her debut album has gone gold and its single "Naturally" has gone platinum. Meanwhile, her green birthday cake exposes that Selena also celebrated her return to "Wizards of Waverly Place", the release of "Ramona and Beezus", the launching of Dream Out Loud, the end of "Monte Carlo" filming and her getting driver's license.

In the pictures shared, Selena was seen wearing a strapless pink dress. Looking radiant and happy, the "Round & Round" singer was joined by the likes of Radio Disney host Ernie D, her "Ramona" co-star Joey King, and her "Wizards" mother Maria Canals Barrera, during the BBQ bash.

Previously, the Alex Russo of "Wizards of Waverly Place" has taken it to her Twitter account to express her gratitude for the birthday wishes she had received. She tweeted, "Thank you so much for all of the amazing birthday wishes!!! Every year gets better and better because of yall! I love you all so much!"

“I’m happy that everything is in the past. I think if you do not love yourself first, nobody else will.” Selena conclude very proud to have taken the decision to start a new life.

Selena Gomez took to Facebook today to give her fans an update about her movie “Monte Carlo” and her clothing line “Dream Out Loud,” AND about her upcoming second album with her band The Scene!

“Hey Everybody, I feel like it has been forever since I have stopped in and said Hello to you all. I hope everyone is doing well. The movie here has been great, having so much fun shooting this and making some wonderful new friends while doing it. Selena Gomez bundles herself up in her fave red scarf as she leaves MTV studios in London on Tuesday afternoon (April 6).

The 17-year-old actress/singer, wearing a Victoria Secret Pink patterned sweater, spoke to the audience last night during her concert at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire arena about her song, “I Don’t Miss You At All.”

Sel asked the concert-goers if they had ever been hurt by someone and said, “I have, but it’s always by the same person over and over again.”

Selena Gomez Says Next Album Will Have 'Reggae Sound'

Selena Gomez is currently working on a slightly harder follow-up to her 2009 debut album, Kiss & Tell. The album, which she released with her band The Scene, was a pop record and Gomez recently told MTV News that for her sophomore effort she wants to go a bit funkier and a bit edgier.




"We were gonna do a deluxe edition of my album, but we started on some songs, so we figured, 'Why not? Let's just go for a second one,' " she explained. "It's kind of different — older — and it's kind of got, like, a reggae sound."

Gomez is only in the early stages of the album-making process. Currently the band is trying to "fill it out," but she knows she'd like to see if she can re-create the vibe from her single "Naturally" — but she's unsure if she's willing to take on the pressure of being the album's main songwriter. "I don't want it all to be on me," Gomez said.

So what about possible collaborators? "Well, I want to work with the producers who did "Naturally' [Antonina Armato, Tim James and Devrim Karaoglu]. They are so sweet," she said. "I'd love to work with Dr. Luke. I think he's awesome," she added about the "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker.

Gomez noted that on her first record, she made sure she picked tunes that her fans could easily relate to. "I wanted to make sure, A, I can relate to it and B, my fans can relate to it, and it's something that I went through," she explained. "And all of those songs are things that I went through, and that's why I put that all together."
