Victoria Secret's Angels Lip Sync to Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble"

Taylor Swift blew everyone away when she performed "I Knew You Were Trouble" at the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Now, the lovely angels are doing their own thing to her hit song.

In a new video to promote the show's upcoming December 10th air date on CBS, several of the runway's sexy ladies lip synced it up to the singer's hit song.

Of course, we're all wondering if model Cara Delevingne was one of the ladies who sang the song that is rumored to be about both of the ladies ex-boyfriend, One Direction's Harry Styles. Unfortunately, she's not in the video. Models Lily Aldridge, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Lindsay Ellingson, Doutzen Kroes, Behati Prinsloo and Alessandra Ambrosio can all be seen singing the song in the clip.



Another angel who won't appear in the clip is Jessica Hart. She's the runway walker who made headlines a few weeks ago when she said Taylor was not a good "fit" for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Read about that here.

This isn't the only lip syncing video the Victoria's Secret models have created. They covered Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat" last year to promote their show. He was the fashion show performer that year.

Taylor Swift: The ex-files (+playlist)

There's no denying Taylor Swift is a busy and talented lady. This week she added four American Music Awards to her swag of accolades and now she's New Zealand bound - set to play three sold-out shows at Auckland's Vector Arena this weekend.

Yet, somehow the star still finds time to be swept off her feet by famous faces (Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles among them) and then, of course, write songs about their breakups. It's gotten to the point where it's hard to know exactly who she's singing about, so we've taken a look into Swifty's romantic past to see what we can match up.

Joe Jonas

I wonder if Swift ever regrets her love-life over-share on Ellen back in 2008, where she revealed her song Forever and Always, from the album Fearless, was a sarcastic jab at teen star Joe Jonas.

This is what sparked the world's obsession with sussing out who Taylor is singing about.

However that hasn't stopped the songstress from spilling her heart out over boys and breakups. In fact, Swift went on to write a few more songs about her Jo-Bro Ex: Last Kiss & Holy Ground. Joe Jonas didn't take Swift's slams lying down either, he hit back with 2009's Much Better, singing "Now I'm done with super stars/And all the tears on her guitar/I'm not bitter".

Taylor Lautner

Taylor + Taylor = Heartbreak. It wasn't long until the Twilight star was spotted at Swift's shows and being papped on dates together after meeting on the set of Valentine's Day. Unfortunately things didn't end well and after their split Swift wrote Back To December as a kind of apology song. Lyrics like "I miss your tan skin/your sweet smile" hint the song was for Lautner.


Adam Young (Owl City)

It's rumoured the song Enchanted was inspired by Swift's brief romance with Adam Young (Owl City). In response, Young recorded his own version of the song for Valentine's Day in 2011, singing "Oh Taylor I was so Enchanted to meet you too". Along with this, he penned the pop princess a love letter on his website:

Dearest Taylor,

I'll be the first to admit I'm a rather shy boy and since music is the most eloquent form of communication I can muster, I decided to record something for you - as sort of a "reply" to the breathtaking song on your current record. This is what I wanted so badly to tell you in person but could never quite put into words:

Everything about you is beautiful. You're an immensely charming girl with a wonderful heart and more grace and elegance than I know how to describe. You are a true princess from a dreamy fairy tale; a modern Cinderella. John Mayer

Dear John wasn't quite as lovely as the rest of Swift's ex-files. Swift hit hard against the singer "Dear John /I see it all now it was wrong/Don't you think nineteen's too young to be played with?/Your dark twisted games when I loved you so". The couple were linked together when Swift was featured in Mayer's song Half of My Heart. Mayer also made a cameo on stage during several of Swift's shows. Since the split, Mayer, who's now dating Katy Perry, has written is own song, Paper Doll, which is thought to be bashing Swift. With lyrics like "You're like twenty-two girls in one/ And none of them know what they're running from". Ouch!


Jake Gyllenhaal

Though the two only held hands for what seemed like second, a lot tracks from Swift's latest album Red are thought to be about the Hollywood hunk. But it was the first single We Are Never Getting Back Together that got the rumour mill churning, with the track's music video featuring a Gyllenhaal lookalike.

Conor Kennedy

There's talk that love song Begin Again is about Swift's relationship with handsome Conor Kennedy (great nephew of President John F. Kennedy). The song was written while the two were still together. While their love didn't last the distance, they are said to have parted ways on good terms.

Harry Styles

I Knew You Were Trouble was originally thought to be another track about John Mayer. However, many people now speculate it's actually about Harry Styles, especially after Swift took a dig at the One Direction heartthrob at the MTV VMAs in September. During her acceptance speech for Best Female Video, Swift said: "I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!" directed at a boy band member.

Ed Sheeran

Okay, so Everything Has Changed isn't about Ed Sheeran (in fact, the song could be another tied to Mr Kennedy), however this duet sparked rumours that the two musos were getting cosy. Earlier this week Swift posted a pic to Instagram of Sheeran and herself enjoying a quiet cuppa, with the words: "Ed told me to caption this 'SWEERAN'".

Taylor Swift Reveals What Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal Really Thought of 'Red'

Taylor Swift's fans love the songs about One Direction's Harry Styles on her current 'Red' album but does he feel the same way?

In a new interview with New York magazine, Taylor revealed that she got feedback from her ex-boyfriends who inspired most of her new, hit album.

"I heard from the guy that most of Red is about," Taylor told the magazine.

"He was like, 'I just listened to the album, and that was a really bittersweet experience for me. It was like going through a photo album.' That was nice. It's a lot more mature way of looking at a love that was wonderful until it was terrible, and both people got hurt from it-but one of those people happened to be a songwriter."

"Nicer than, like, the ranting, crazy e-mails I got from this one dude," she added.

As we all know, Tay's hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble" is totally about the whirlwind of a relationship 1D's Harry put her through last year. Remember when Taylor publicly thanked him for inspiring the song at the VMA awards? We're pretty sure he's the crazy, emailing guy while actor Jake Gyllenhaal is the other ex she talked to.

Even if there's a slight chance that Harry is the ex that complimented Taylor's album, she's not completely done dissing him! She recently opened the Victoria's Secret fashion show wearing a Union Jack dress and flirting with his other model ex-girlfriend.

Justin Bieber, Macklemore dominate YouTube nominees

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, One Direction, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus and One Direction will tussle for top honors at the first-ever YouTube Music Awards show, which plays out Nov. 3 on the video-sharing site.

Jessie J Covers Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" in Unique Way

British singer Jessie J stunned us when she recently covered Taylor Swift's hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble" on BBC Radio. Not only did Jess's voice sound awesome but she totally changed the entire sound of the Tay's tune too...and we liked it!




With just a simple guitar playing along with her, Jessie belted out the song's strong lyrics that are reportedly about Taylor's relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles. Already being one of our favorite T-Swift songs already, we have to admit we kind of like Jessie's version better than Taylor's original! The unique way she sang it made the lyrics seem so much more meaningful and beautiful.

Taylor Swift songs reveal her angsty side

When Taylor Swift, a wild-haired country darling, released her first album in 2006 titled ‘Taylor Swift,’ listeners everywhere were instantly hooked on her sound. But now, all of her songs seem to be written specifically to her ex-boyfriends.

“Picture to Burn”

One of her first popular songs “Picture to Burn,” was a very angry, but upbeat little number written about an ex. Little did fans know that ‘very angry, but upbeat’ would quickly become Swift’s calling card.

“Picture to Burn” was an instant success and when Swift sang “go and tell your friends that I’m obsessive and crazy” we all thought the lyrics were simply an exaggeration. Recently, however, I’ve begin to think that the description was a bit more accurate than we originally thought.

“Crazier”

Two weeks ago at the MTV Video Music Awards millions of people saw innocent little Taylor Swift mouth the words “shut the f**k up” to her gal pal Selena Gomez as ex-boyfriend Harry Styles was presenting an award on stage. Although the couple split up last January after only dating for a few short weeks, Swifty is apparently still not over it eight months later.

“I Knew You Were Trouble”

“Dear John”

After the snarky comment, Swift won the award for Best Female Video for the latest song, “I Knew You Were Trouble” on her seemingly never ending list of dramatic and hateful tunes inspired by her ex-boyfriends. This one is reportedly about John Mayer, although she did not name him as she did in the other song she wrote about him, titled “Dear John.”

Her acceptance speech lasted a total of 30 seconds, a third of which she spent thanking the guy that inspired the song with a ridiculous amount of spite and more enthusiasm than she gave her fans, co-workers and directors combined. Really, Taylor? It’s time to get over it.

“Come Back … Be Here”

At first it was refreshing to have a celebrity sing about people they actually dated, instead of the generic love songs usually played on the radio that aren’t really about anyone, but after seven years, it’s getting really old hearing Swift lyrically complain about the emotional rollercoaster she calls a love life. In my opinion, falling head-over-heels for a guy you barely know every other week isn’t love.

“Jump Then Fall”

“A Perfectly Good Heart”

Her albums previously had a fair amount of songs that were just about life: family, weddings, childhood, high school. Now, all her songs are either about how blissfully happy she is with her current fling, or how that same person is a Satan spawn who gets his jollies out of eating the still-beating hearts of women who wanted nothing more than to love him.

“Back To December”

We get it, Taylor, men are dogs. But out of the four albums she has released, there is only one song about how she did something wrong in the relationship. Does anyone else feel like we aren’t getting the whole story here?

Miss Swift needs to take it down a notch. Or five. By the age of 23 you’d think she would have realized that boys aren’t everything. But she won’t and her next album will, without a doubt, be filled with more psycho ex-girlfriend anthems. And I will, without a doubt, still buy it.

Taylor Swift: Heartbreak is special

Taylor Swift says heartbreak is her favourite feeling to work with when writing lyrics.

The country singer is known for belting out songs about boyfriend woes such as smash hits We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble.

While she's dated some gorgeous stars such as One Direction's Harry Styles and ladies' man John Mayer, being in love isn't as inspiring as breaking up.

"Heartbroken; I think when you're heartbroken you need music more than when you're not," she answered Coffee Break when asked about her favourite emotion to write with.

"There's something so beautiful about people who are heartbroken; they think about things much more. When you're in love and you're happy you don't need to think; it's just there. Love is one of those things that's so simple, you only need to think about it when it's bad. When you write a song about what you're thinking... there's such a gratification and it helps you move on."

Taylor has been raking in the prizes recently and took home an amazing eight Billboard awards this year.

While many stars would have partied to mark the occasion, the 23-year-old celebrated quietly.

"It was such an amazing night it was so fun; to win eight in one night was crazy," she smiled.

"We went for dinner at Nobu. I'm liking sushi more as I get older, but I just love Nobu, they have the best menu. I had interviews the next day so... no [I didn't party]."

Taylor has been busy with the Red Tour, taking UK singer pal Ed Sheeran along for support.

She revealed she's already thinking about her next album and explained what it feels like to hear fans belt out her tracks at concerts.

"It's insane and it's cool, because you play a show for 50,000 people and you can see that each song means a different thing to a different person," she said.

Taylor Swift uses I Knew You Were Trouble signs to warn strangers off her property

If she ever gets bored with her career as a singer Taylor Swift might like to consider becoming a comedian.

The star has done something VERY FUNNY (laugh or we will force the giggles out of you) - she's used her own song lyrics to warn trespassers to stay off her property.

The country warbler (that actually translates as singer, it's not some kind of strange endangered bird in this case) recently bought a $17 million luxury home in Rhode Island and she clearly doesn't want strangers turning up uninvited.

Taylor has put up signs outside her new home which read: "I knew you were trouble when you walked in."

And to ensure they get the message, in large letters underneath, it says: "NO TRESPASSING."

You get the message, yeah? Good, glad that's settled (we sound almost as menacing as Taylor's signs).

Taylor moved into her new home in May and is said to have paid the whopping price in one payment.

The house is yet another addition to her property portfolio as she already owns places in Beverly Hills and Nashville.

Just imagine if she'd bought a house in the UK to be close to her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.

She would PRACTICALLY BE BRITISH - ok, so we're going a little bit overboard there.

Taylor Swift: Subway Violinists Do Awesome "I Knew You Were Trouble" Cover

Ah-mazing!

In the video below Rhett Price and Josh Knowles, who call themselves the Subway Violinists, cover Taylor Swift's hit song, "I Knew You Were Trouble," in a Boston train station.

Totally blowing our minds, we can't stop listening to their version of the song and we aren't the only ones...their video is going viral!

The talented guys recently talked to Huffington Post, and admitted where they got the idea to cover T-Swift.

"We started playing it because someone had requested the song on my Facebook page," Price said.

"And then we would finish it and someone would say, 'play it again!' I knew pretty quickly that this would be a favorite, next to our Led Zeppelin arrangements."

Taylor Swift Confirms "I Knew You Were Trouble" About Harry Styles

Is Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" about Harry Styles?

While it's been rumored for awhile that "IKYWT" was written about Harry, Taylor is finally confirming it.

Interesting, since she rarely spills so clearly which ex-boyfriend she's written songs for (though we can usually figure it out pretty easily), but this time Taylor makes it crystal clear.

In a new interview with Times magazine (via The Daily Mirror's 3AM), Taylor talks about performing "I Knew You Were Trouble" in front of Harry at the BRIT Awards.

She explained, "You're balancing the analytical side of your brain, which is telling you where to go and how to go there, with the other side of your brain, which is saying 'Feel everything you're singing, and show it on your face. Feel everything exactly as you felt it when you wrote the song."

The interviewer notes that she would "die" if she performed the song in front of her ex boyfriend, and here's where Taylor spills all, saying: "Well, it's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is about is standing by the side of the stage watching."

Taylor Swift goes from innocent to edgy on stage while performing at the 2013 BRIT Awards held at the O2 Arena on Wednesday night (February 20) in London, England.

Taylor Swift Wrote 'Trouble' About Harry Styles?

Taylor Swift's hit single I Knew You Were Trouble was reportedly inspired by her first experience of romance with One Direction star, Harry Styles.

According to Radar Online, Swift - who is thought to have dated Hazza before making up, then breaking up with him earlier this year - allegedly penned the song after seeing images of him kissing 18-year-old model Emma Ostilly in New Zealand.

A source told the website: "Taylor was crushed over Harry the first time they dated, and like she always does, she penned a song about him to deal with her broken heart.

"I Knew You Were Trouble is one hundred percent about Harry. She knew he was young and popular with the ladies and wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, but somehow hoped she could make it work."

They added: "She was head over heels for Harry so even though she knew he was bad news for her, she gave him another chance.

"Harry pretty much knows the song is about him but doesn’t really care. He’s just happy to be single again."

Despite the rumours, Taylor is yet to confirm what or who I Knew You Were Trouble is about.

Meanwhile, Styles - who is set to perform alongside Swift at The Brit Awards tonight - recently called her a "sweet girl" when speaking about their break up.

Taylor Swift heads out for a night on the town with some gal pals on Wednesday (January 23) at El Alkalde restuarant in Central Madrid, Spain.

The 23-year-old singer was spotted earlier in the day greeting her fans outside of her hotel.

According to one website's source, the song was written about Harry.

We don't believe it though!

HollywoodLife.com reports that they have the exclusive scoop on Taylor's "IKYWT," with a source noting, "The song 'Trouble' is definitely about Harry. Taylor told Harry it's about him. She references flying around America following One Direction's tour in the song."

We think the source may be a little off base, since "I Knew You Were Trouble" was written before Taylor knew Harry.

She recently told MTV.com the details behind "I Knew You Were Trouble," sharing, "I had just gone through an experience that made me write this song about like knowing the second you see someone, 'Oh this is going to be interesting. It's going to be dangerous, but look at me going in there anyway.'"

Taylor added, "I think that for me, it was the first time I ever kind of noticed that in myself. When you are curious about something you know might be bad for you but you know that you are going to go for it anyway because, if you don't, you'll have greater regrets about not seeing where that would go."

Consumers redeeming download gift cards received for Christmas are spurring huge increases for a variety of songs. Based on sales data from industry sources, Billboard forecasts that perhaps six songs could sell more than 300,000 downloads in the tracking week that ends on Sunday, Dec. 30.

Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" is shaping up to be the biggest beneficiary of gift card downloads, as it could sell somewhere in the range of 525,000 to 575,000. Sources have suggested that around 200,000 of that figure was registered on Christmas Day alone. Last week (ending Dec. 23), "Trouble" sold 221,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan and ranked at No. 2 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart.

"Trouble" should easily jump back to No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart next week with the largest sales frame for a song since August. That month, Swift's own "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" bowed with 623,000 sold.

"Trouble's" forecasted figure -- like all others projected in this story -- could change drastically by the end of the week. As many songs saw huge bursts of gains on Christmas Day, we'll have to wait and see if many of them sustain their popularity through the week.

That said, another title in the hunt for a 300,000-plus week is Bruno Mars' current Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single "Locked Out of Heaven." The cut could sell maybe 425,000 to 450,000. (Up from 226,000 last week.) At the present, "Locked" seems like it will hold at No. 1 on the Hot 100 next week, even if Swift's "Trouble" sells as well as we're hearing. "Locked's" Hot 100 airplay lead over "Trouble" is still quite wide and "Trouble" has yet to become available to streaming services. (The Hot 100 blends sales, airplay and streaming data to determine its rankings.)

Taylor Swift's Cat Really, Really Likes Her New Song

Taylor Swift's cat Meredith is no trouble at all – just a fan.

"What's on the radio right now?" the Red singer asks her feline friend as her new single, "I Knew You Were Trouble," plays in the background of a video she posted Tuesday (watch above). "Is it my song?"

Her response: Meow! (We'll interpret that as an enthusiastic yes.)

"Isn't that exciting?" Swift asks to a seemingly understanding Meredith, whom she took home last November. Another meow. "Good talk."

Not that Meredith's just a fan. The cat, a regular fixture on Swift's Twitter feed, has a following of her own. "It's a crazy situation," she said in October. "Cause it's a cat."

Although we're guessing Meredith has a little competition now that her mom's dating One Direction singer Harry Styles, it's clear who the real fan is here. "She is awesome," Swift previously said. "She's, like, the most adorable cat in the world."
