Justin Bieber: Girl From "Boyfriend" Video is Victim of Twitter Death Hoax

It seems like every girl Justin Bieber associates with becomes of victim of something!

Just ask Rachel Barnes, the girl who was lucky enough to score the role in Justin's "Boyfriend"video.

She recently became the latest Twitter death hoax victim after #RIPRachel started to trend on the social media website.

According to some of the tweets, Barnes succumbed to cancer. Twitter-ers quickly started tweeting her their condolences.

"Rachel Barnes, the girl who played in the Boyfriend video died from cancer today. She's got all our love. May she rest in peace," one tweeter wrote.

Totally not being true, Rachel had to shut down the death rumors and confirm she was still with us.

"Glad I'm alive too," she wrote on her Instagram page while responding to a tweet.

A day later, she posted a photo of her flipping the bird with the caption, "feeling feisty."

Yikes!

Justin Bieber Reveals Final Tracklist for 'Believe Acoustic'

It's still two weeks before the January 29 release date set for his upcoming album "Believe Acoustic", but Justin Bieber just can't wait anymore to reveal its final tracklist. The teen sensation posted a photo of the album's back cover on his Twitter account, confirming the final ten songs that made it to the cut plus one bonus track from the Biebs.

"Ready? #newmusic - with everything going on I'm gonna tell u myself how I feel #15Days," Bieber tweeted to his followers on Monday night, January 14, as he disclosed the 7 acoustic versions and one live version of his "Believe" hits, two new songs "Yellow Raincoat" and "I Would", and the bonus track "Nothing Like Us". "Boyfriend", "Beauty and a Beat" and "All Around the World" are among the "Believe" hits that made it to the new stripped-down album.

Bieber also asked fans for advice regarding his hosting gig on the hit TV comedy-musical show "Saturday Night Live" which comes in a few weeks. The Biebs reportedly will not hold anything back for his "SNL" stint, based on his latest tweet "coming up with ideas for #SNL ... #nothingisofflimits." "SNL" might poke fun at his on-and-off romance with singer/actress Selena Gomez and even his recent pot smoking scandal.

Bieber might have just had the final breakup with Gomez after a string of fights and eventual make-ups. They reportedly got into a huge fight while on a New Year's vacation in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico over rumors that Bieber was still seeing Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin. Gomez cut her trip short after the confrontation and she's reportedly refusing to reconcile ever again with The Biebs.

Justin Bieber, One Direction In Furious Battle For Most Share-Worthy VMA Title!

Justin Bieber and One Direction are in a serious dogfight for the title of Most Share-Worthy Video at this Thursday's MTV Video Music Awards.

We had no idea when we added the Most Share-Worthy Video category to the 2012 VMAs that things would get so heated.

But they have, and the intense battle that's taking place between Directioners and Beliebers has truly blown our minds. Since voting opened last week, supporters of VMA nominees One Direction — who are set to hit the MTV stage on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT — and Bieber have been tweeting their preference in massive numbers, with more than 43 million votes cast so far!

At press time, the race was as tight as ever, with just over 280,000 votes separating the 22.1 million for 1D's "What Makes You Beautiful" (#voteonedirection) and 21.8 million votes for Bieber's "Boyfriend" (#votebieber). And with five more days to go before Thursday's big show, there's still plenty of time to vote and get your voice heard! Remember, in a race this close, every vote counts!

Justin's fans have, understandably, been very vocal about hyping their man's candidacy, with JB encouraging them on Saturday to get in on the action by reminding them, "and ... #votebieber ... lol." In addition to stumping for Beyoncé, while posting half a dozen tweetminders to his 27.9 million followers to get him into the lead. "Typing this so good on your fingertips," he encouraged them.

Meanwhile, 1D are doing their best to keep their slim lead, with member Niall Horan reminding fans via tweet on Friday, "Only a few days til the VMAs. Let's keep it going."

For now, the battle seems like a two-horse race, with fellow nominees Beyoncé trailing behind with the "Countdown" video (141,000 votes at press time), followed by Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (52,000) and Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" (35,000).

Fans can keep voting for Most Share-Worthy video right up until showtime on Thursday night.

Justin Bieber credits his love of Selena Gomez for his songs on new album Believe and single Boyfriend

HIS girlfriend Selena Gomez may be an off-limits topic for Justin Bieber's Australian promotional tour but there's no doubt the Disney pop princess is his muse.

Bieber credits his own experience of love for giving him a new take on pop music's oldest subject for his latest hit album Believe and single Boyfriend.

"Love has been talked about over and over and over again, so you have to be creative," he said yesterday. "It's those moments that happen to me - I try to write about those moments because then it's more personal and the fans feel like it's me."

And there was plenty of love in the room during Bieber's intimate performance for Channel V, Take 40 and Hot 30 fans at the Entertainment Quarter yesterday afternoon.

"I will be back sooner than a year this time. I love you, I love you, take care," he said.

With more than 25 million Twitter followers and another 43 million-plus Facebook likes, he has his work cut out for him keeping them all happy. He will also return to the Overseas Passenger Terminal for his Sunrise appearance today.

It was inevitable that there would be a Justin Bieber Boyfriend and 'NSYNC Girlfriend mashup... but who knew it would be so good?

Someone is very talented with the mashups--it's seamless, really.

Of course, there were already parallels drawn between Justin's hit and 'NSYNC's tune, given the Boyfriend/Girlfriend naming and even the similar theme of the music videos.

Both have cool cars, girls, parking lot parties and dancing going on, after all.

It's like a Justin vs. Justin faceoff and now we know why Bieber was ticked when compared to Timberlake in a recent radio interview (he later hung up on the call).

Justin Bieber stuns fans with 'Boyfriend' van performance - video

Justin Bieber has surprised his fans with an impromptu performance of 'Boyfriend' from a van.

The 18-year-old singer pulled up next to a group of supporters waiting outside the Tonight Show with Jay Leno studio on Wednesday (June 27), where Bieber was due to film an appearance.

Accompanied by a guitarist, Bieber then treated fans to a stripped-back rendition of his global hit before driving off again, leaving them screaming behind.

The surprise came little over a week after the 'Baby' singer was filmed blasting his fans for being "impatient" and "not very respectful" while he waited at an airport for girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Bieber confirmed this week that 'As Long As You Love Me' will be the second single released from his third studio album Believe.

The LP beat Cheryl Cole's A Million Lights to the top of the UK album chart and has reached number one in nine other countries.

Happy Justin Bieber Believe day!

Justin Bieber's Apollo concert last night was so epic, the power went out for 40 minutes!

Watch Justin take on the challenge of a power outage by getting the crowd to sing an a cappella version of Boyfriend.

The show must go on, right?

Justin tweeted afterwards: "Me and @ludacris blew up the power at the @ApolloTheater. Haha. Epic"

He added, "A night none of us will ever forget!! That is how u end an #AllAroundTheWorld run!!! With no power for the last song...my fans sang it 4 me!"

It's pretty awesome.

Justin sounded thrilled with his fans for "stepping up" to help him sing the song, tweeting, "What I saw tonight! My fans! My Beliebers! They stepped up for me! I love u! I will never forget 2nite! That was the way a show should end.."

His Apollo show was the last stop for his All Around the World TV special, which will air Wednesday and Thursday on NBC.

Justin even paid them an early visit last night, stopping (er... driving by, anyway) to give fans a glimpse of him. And the Beliebers went NUTS!

In an interview with Matt Lauer, Justin talked about his music, saying, "I'm 18 and have a lot of insecurities. At the end of the day, me being in my position doesn't get rid of those insecurities... I think it's about proving people wrong and going out there and making good music... and performing better than everyone else. That's what I have to do to cross over. Or else I'm just going to be another teen heartthrob, and I want to be remembered."

He added, "I'm 18, I'm still growing up. I'm not all the way there. But I'm growing and my fans are growing with me and I want to make the music that reflects that."

We were disappointed that Justin Bieber (or the overlords in charge of managing his career) decided to trash the original chilly, experimental concept for his “Boyfriend” video and instead treat us to Bieb having a dance party among a swarm of cars, but it looks like Bieber had a ball filming a video for the same song twice. In the newly released behind-the-scenes of the clip, Justin cuddles with his co-star in the front seat of his ride, hugs his beloved choreographer Jamaica, and, according to director X, participates in “parking lot pimpin’.”

“He has a new look… he’s older, more mature, a James Dean kind of character,” the director says to the cameras. “I’ve been wanting to do a video like this for awhile, and it just matched.” Check out the vid’s behind-the-scenes above, and get more “Boyfriend” in your life by checking out the hodgepodge of remixes.

Justin Bieber Teams Up With Mac Miller, 2 Chainz And Asher Roth For 'Boyfriend" Remix

Justin Bieber’s rapper swag is on the rise. Not only has the 18-year old pop singer grown comfortable spitting bars; as his career progresses he is logging in more and more rap collaborations. His upcoming Believer LP features Ludacris, Drake, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj, and on his “Boyfriend” remix, which he released today, the Biebs partnered with 2 Chainz, Mac Miller and Asher Roth.

The overall feel of the Mike Posner and Mason Levy-produced track remains unchanged. 2 Chainz sets things off with a clean verse and his usual charismatic bars. “Nine times outta 10, you’re a 10/ If ya schedule open I’ll pencil ya in,” Tit spits to set the tone.

MTV News caught up with 2 Chainz during his May 20 Atlanta stop on Drake’s Club Paradise Tour and the Codeine Cowboy assured us that he wouldn’t compromise himself, just to fit into Justin’s pop world. "I'm able to express myself in different ways, so I enjoy doin' different records like that and not just hip-hop records, so it's cool," he said.

Mac Miller is up second ready to shower the object of his affection with lavish gifts. “You could be my queen, couple thousand on the jeans/ ‘Cause I’m down to do some spendin’ on the woman of my dreams,” he raps in a smokey voice.

Justin Bieber Lights Up Billboard Music Awards With 'Boyfriend'

Justin Bieber got the room shaking at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas when he danced around the stage rapping and singing his lead Believe single, "Boyfriend."

Dressed in white and yellow, with some neon lights on his pants, the 18-year-old stormed the stage and danced his butt off — but he didn't go it alone. He was joined by some sexy, scantily clad lady dancers and male dancers in masks. Jumping from various levels of the stage, Bieber got his swaggie on.

He especially brought out the swag when the song broke down in the middle for an extended dance remix, and he showed that he's growing as a performer and a hoofer, relying less on his cutesy tween image and more on the razzle-dazzle of predecessors like Justin Timberlake and mentor Usher.

Before he took the stage to perform, Bieber was up there to accept the prize for Top Social Artist. An emotional Bieber thanked those closest to him during his speech.

"First of all, I just want to say how much of a blessing it's been the past three, four years, just growing up in front of everybody," he said. "I want to thank all my fans, 'cause the Internet is where I got my start. I want to thank my boy [and manager] Scooter Braun for all he's done. He's more than just a manager to me. I want to thank Usher. ... He takes the time to really care. I just want to say 'thank you so much' to my mom and my dad and to God. I could keep rambling forever. I just want to thank you so much. Swaggie."

Immediately after Bieber performed, his first artist, Carly Rae Jepsen, also sang her hit single "Call Me Maybe."

Justin Bieber Hooks Up With Nicki Minaj On 'Believe' LP

Justin Bieber has unveiled the track-listing for his forthcoming album Believe - which includes a surprise collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

The 18-year old, who wowed crowds at the Billboard Music Awards last night (20th May) with a colourful performance of Boyfriend, has teamed-up with Nicki on a track entitled Beauty & a Beaut.

Fellow Canadian Drake also features on the LP - appearing on a song called Right Here - while JB has also hooked-up with Baby collaborator Ludacris again on All Around The World.

The Never Say Never star has also secured a collaboration with Big Sean on track As Long As You Love Me - which Justin recently hinted could be his next single.

He told MTV News: "My next single, I don't have it completely set. I think it's 'As Long As You Love Me.' It's mid-tempo. I think it's edgy."

Biebs also revealed that the song features the lyric: "You can be my Destiny's Child."

Last month, Justin also confessed that his third studio record will feature a song about alleged baby mama Mariah Yeater, although it is currently unknown which track sees JB address the allegations.

Fans can grab a copy of Believe when it's released in the UK on 18th June.

Justin Bieber, Rihanna and One Direction Nab Nominations at 2012 MuchMusic Awards

Nominees for this year's MuchMusic Video Awards have been announced. Canadian native Justin Bieber, Bajan singer Rihanna and British boyband One Direction are among the musicians who enter battles to win coveted prizes at the upcoming Canadian awards show.

Bieber is vying for International Video of the Year by a Canadian, thanks to his newly-premiered clip for single "Boyfriend". The teen is competing against Avril Lavigne ("Smile"), Drake ft. Riri ("Take Care"), Nickelback ("When We Stand Together") and Simple Plan ("Astronaut").

He's additionally listed in International Video of the Year - Artist through Chris Brown's "Next 2 You" where he serves as a featured guest. Other contenders in this category include Riri, Beyonce Knowles, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Lady GaGa and Nicki Minaj.

In the Group category for International Video of the Year, Harry Styles and his bandmates face stiff competition against Coldplay, The Wanted, Bad Meets Evil, LMFAO, Maroon 5 and Selena Gomez & The Scene.

Canadian rising star Carly Rae Jepsen scores two nods Video of the Year and Pop Video of the Year, thanks to her "Call Me Maybe" clip. In the former category, she faces off Drizzy, Down With Webster, Hedley and Marianas Trench.

2012 MuchMusic Video Awards will be held on June 17. Redfoo and SkyBlu are set to co-host the event, while Katy is scheduled to make a live performance.
