Justin Bieber Strips Down 'As Long as You Love Me' in Live Video

Mere days before he releases his fifth album, "Believe Acoustic," Justin Bieber is out with a new, laid-back live video for "As Long as You Love Me."

Wearing a sleeve-less jean vest and accompanied by his musical director Dan Kantner on guitar, the 18-year-old Bieber effortlessly croons the "Believe" standout, adding "la-lala-lala-la-la-lala-lala-la-las" to the hook without missing a beat.

The video, which was shot in Australia, gives fans a taste of what's to come on "Believe Acoustic," which includes entirely reworked, stripped down versions of songs from his previous album. The set, out Tuesday Jan. 29, also includes three new songs.

If "Acoustic" debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as expected, Bieber will be the only artist in history to have five No. 1 albums before turning 19. He would also be just the 10th act to score a No. 1 album in four consecutive years.

Justin Bieber Reveals Final Tracklist for 'Believe Acoustic'

It's still two weeks before the January 29 release date set for his upcoming album "Believe Acoustic", but Justin Bieber just can't wait anymore to reveal its final tracklist. The teen sensation posted a photo of the album's back cover on his Twitter account, confirming the final ten songs that made it to the cut plus one bonus track from the Biebs.

"Ready? #newmusic - with everything going on I'm gonna tell u myself how I feel #15Days," Bieber tweeted to his followers on Monday night, January 14, as he disclosed the 7 acoustic versions and one live version of his "Believe" hits, two new songs "Yellow Raincoat" and "I Would", and the bonus track "Nothing Like Us". "Boyfriend", "Beauty and a Beat" and "All Around the World" are among the "Believe" hits that made it to the new stripped-down album.

Bieber also asked fans for advice regarding his hosting gig on the hit TV comedy-musical show "Saturday Night Live" which comes in a few weeks. The Biebs reportedly will not hold anything back for his "SNL" stint, based on his latest tweet "coming up with ideas for #SNL ... #nothingisofflimits." "SNL" might poke fun at his on-and-off romance with singer/actress Selena Gomez and even his recent pot smoking scandal.

Bieber might have just had the final breakup with Gomez after a string of fights and eventual make-ups. They reportedly got into a huge fight while on a New Year's vacation in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico over rumors that Bieber was still seeing Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin. Gomez cut her trip short after the confrontation and she's reportedly refusing to reconcile ever again with The Biebs.

Carly Rose Soneclar Sang Justin Bieber's Song 'Better' Than He Did, Declares Demi Lovato

Should Justin Bieber be worried about his future in music, especially when X Factor USA finalist Carly Rose Soneclar was praised for her performance of 'As Long As You Love Me' as being better than his?

The super talented finalist took to the stage with her fellow contestants on the show last night to impress the judges, and it appears that Carly impressed Simon Cowell and co the most for her renditions of Justin's song and Beyonce's 'If I Were A Boy'.

Full of praise for the young finalist, judge Demi Lovato declared: "I love it when I hear unplugged versions of songs that are better than the actual songs. You sang it better than Justin did.”

Wow!

Simon Cowell also showered Carly Rose with praise telling her: "This is why I love working in this country. We find people like you. And I’ve gotta tell you, I’m seeing a star emerge in front of me week after week after week.”

L.A. Reid, who was accompanied by Justin during the judges houses stage, added:

"The one thing I’ve always been concerned about was how you could handle yourself as a recording artist.

"What I loved about that performance is that you actually showed some restraint.”

Whilst Carly Rose may have been praised for her performances, the young rising star was quick to thank Beyonce and Justin for their songs.

She tweeted: "Thank you @beyonce and @justinbieber for making these amazing songs. I was honored to perform them on the show! #XFactor."

JUSTIN BIEBER PERFORMS ‘AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME’ ACOUSTICALLY FOR BBC RADIO 1 TEEN AWARDS

We la-la-la-la love when Justin Bieber goes acoustic.

The Biebs turned in a dramatic and emotional acoustic rendition of his latest single ‘As Long as You Love Me’ at BBC’s Maida Vale Studios for the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.

The singer was accompanied by a beanie-wearing guitarist who was super animated, closing his eyes and shaking his head in time with the melody. The leather pants-wearing Biebs did a wonderful job emoting and singing about la-la-la-la-loving his lady.

The Biebs was seated on a stool while performing, making eye contact with the crowd that was largely comprised of ladies. We know, absolutely no shock there. He smiled, looked up at the fans on the balcony and used his peepers to flirt with them. So cute.

The rap part of the song was featured in this performance, and it was unique to hear those lyrics and that cadence juxtaposed against acoustic strumming.

This performance certainly proves the haters who think the Biebs is all image and no substance wrong. The kid is a crazy talented singer, and each time he tackles this song in its stripped down form, we’re reminded why the ladies love him and why he’s amassing fans between teenage girls. He previously performed the song on ‘Daybreak.’

Justin Bieber, Frank Ocean Win Gold In MTV's Summer Jam Games!

The podium at the 2012 MTV News Summer Jam Games is crowded with some of the biggest stars on the planet, each representing their respective genres with the hottest hits of the season. Nearly 740,000 votes were cast across the five categories (hip-hop, R&B, EDM, rock and pop) resulting in a winners' list led by both fan-favorite veteran acts and relative newcomers.

So who took home the gold in our Summer Jam Games? Well fans came out in full force for their acts, but only five acts could go home with gold.

Hip-Hop: "Lemme See" Usher, featuring Rick Ross
Just as it is in sports, sometimes years of practice and perseverance pay off. Such is the case with MTV Video Music Award nominee (for "Climax") Usher, whose jam "Lemme See," featuring Rick Ross, bested its nearest competition ("Mercy" by G.O.O.D. Music featuring 2 Chainz), to take the hip-hop Summer Jam gold medal. With nearly 20 years of blockbuster hits under his belt, Usher proved to be the Michael Phelps of our Summer Jam Games — a heavily decorated veteran who's still winning top honors when he gets in the game.

R&B: "Thinkin Bout You," Frank Ocean
With three VMA noms and one of the most acclaimed albums of the year, Ocean is enjoying a very big moment right now. That energy carried him not only to the top of the album charts, but also to victory in our R&B category. Ocean took nearly half of all votes cast in the category and 12,000-plus votes more than his nearest competitor, silver medalist JoJo, whose "Demonstrate" did just that. Combined, Ocean and JoJo accounted for more than 92 percent of all votes in an R&B field that included Leah La Belle, The-Dream and Trey Songz.

EDM: "Lights," Ellie Goulding
Goulding took her time to break here in the U.S., but once the Brit beauty's ethereal dance jam "Lights" started to catch on, it set the charts on fire. In its 32nd week on the Billboard Hot 100, the song remains at #5, and the continued popularity of "Lights" catapulted the song to the top of the EDM heap, besting some of the genre's biggest stars, including Eric Prydz, Porter Robinson, David Guetta, Avicii and Calvin Harris, to take the Summer Jam gold.

Rock: "Settle Down," No Doubt
If there was any question that No Doubt is back in the biggest possible way, look no further than the showing of "Settle Down" in the Summer Jam Games rock category. The rock contenders were a "who's who" of titans in the genre, from Jack White to the Killers, but in the end, Gwen, Tony, Adrian and Tom prevailed over their closest competitor, Green Day's "Oh Love," with their infectious return to music; it's also the lead single from Push and Shove, the band's first album since 2001's Rock Steady.

Pop: "As Long As You Love Me," Justin Bieber, featuring Big Sean
Far and away the most voted-upon category, the competition for top of the pops was fierce. In the end, Justin Bieber and One direction left everyone else in the dust, accounting for nearly 95 percent of the total vote. But in the end, there could only be one, and the Beliebers rallied behind Justin to push "As Long As you Love Me" across the finish line just ahead of One Direction's "One Thing."

Justin Bieber's Respected Michael Jackson Connection: Michael Madsen

Justin Bieber tweeted that when he was looking for inspiration for his "As Long As You Love Me" video, there was no one he wanted to emulate more than Michael Jackson.

Coincidentally, when he needed someone to play his foe in the clip, he looked no further than a guy who has some experience working with Jackson.

That man is Michael Madsen, who appeared in Jackson's 2001 gangster-themed video for "You Rock My World" off his Invincible album. Oddly enough, the only people that have ever really asked the hard-edged actor to appear in videos happen to be Bieber and Jackson.

"Hardly ever [am I asked to be in videos], that was why it was kind of funny cause that doesn't usually happen," he told MTV News. "It came out of nowhere. It was the last thing in the world I expected, to be called by Justin Bieber. It was kind of funny. It took me off guard. It's not the usual thing people think of me for, but considering the role, maybe."

In the video, Madsen plays a tough guy who beats up Bieber after the teen ignores his request to stay away from his daughter. It was that cinematic storyline that got Madsen interested.

"I didn't want to imagine myself on a trampoline with a lollipop, so I asked for the story. I realized it was almost like a film production; and of course, I kind of figured that it might be an interesting thing to do," he said about the Anthony Mandler-directed video. "I didn't know what to expect... I was surprised... They got me a good wardrobe. That was my shirt though. I brought my own shirt; those kinds of shirts are kind of rare.

"The story is so much Shakespearian; the couple, they run off together out the window," he later continued. "It's rather like that, I thought that was interesting. And I thought the kid, he had an enormous talent and he was very gracious to my sons and was very gracious to my family."

It was actually those sons that convinced the Hawaiian-shirt-wearing "Kill Bill" star to make the video with Bieber. "Well I was surprised at first that the kid was interested in having me be part of his video," he recalled. "I went to my sons and I asked my boys, I asked my sons what they thought if I should if they thought I should do it or not. And, of course, they gently placed their hand on my shoulder and said 'Dad don't you realize who Justin Bieber is?' And I said 'Well, no, actually I didn't.' But with their blessing I decided I thought it might be interesting."

Justin Bieber Fights & Bleeds for Love in 'As Long As You Love Me' Video

Just in case you were wondering, Justin Bieber is now a man. At 18 years old, the singer has been trying to prove he's more than just another flash-in-the-pan teen idol. His second studio album, "Believe," was full of more mature themes and sounds, reminiscent of another famous Justin, who successfully made the transition from teen heartthrob to adult superstar.

And if you haven't noticed, Bieber and crew want you to. In his latest music video for "As Long As You Love Me," which premiered Wednesday morning (Aug. 1), the Biebz takes on Michael Madsen (of "Reservoir Dogs" and "Kill Bill" fame), partakes in a high speed chase and rolls around on a bed with a girl who is not Selena Gomez... all for love.

The "short film" begins with a minute-long, dramatic dialogue between Bieber and Madsen, the father of Bieber's one true love. "I know what type of guy you are, I used to be the same thing," says the overprotective papa. "I know what that means... that means one day you'll leave her for somebody else, break her heart." He then advises the young man to leave and never come back or it "won't be good."

Bieber responds by hightailing it like Madsen suggested, but with one change: he urges the young girlfriend to run with him. Uh-oh! In between scenes of a high-speed race (reminiscent of the star's recent real life chase), there are interspersed scenes of the lovebirds, a discontented daddy and, of course, Bieber running through city streets and pulling off his best Michael Jackson-inspired moves.

The parking lot dance scene, which feels like a tribute to Jackson's "Bad" video, is impressively executed, with Bieber and the dancers showing off stellar choreography. Somewhat out of place, Big Sean pops into the scene to spit his verse, but then the rapper promptly leaves.

There are also frames of Bieber pleading to the camera, singing "As long as you love me, we could be homeless, we could be starving, we could be broke" -- not like that's something the multi-millionaire will actually have to worry about. As these shots progress throughout the video, Bieber goes from bruised to bloody, with his mangled face foreshadowing an epic fight that breaks out between Madsen and the Canadian pop star near the end of the clip.

The whole thing is gritty -- even if the fake blood and stereotypical dialogue make it a tad melodramatic. "As Long As You Love Me" is a far cry from Bieber's "Baby" days, both literally and figuratively. This generation's superstar is trying making it known that he can be more than just a teen idol, and he makes that point with his latest video.

Justin Bieber Taps 'Kill Bill' Star For 'As Long As You Love Me'

Justin Bieber's music video — actually, it's more of a short film — for his song "As Long as You Love Me" just got some more star power. The singer tweeted that the video will not only feature Big Sean but also actor Michael Madsen ("Reservoir Dogs").

On Monday, Bieber tweeted that he would release a teaser on Wednesday ahead of the video's premiere, which is slated for Friday or Monday. And that's when he also dropped that little bit of casting news.

"Should we show a minute snip of #ALAYLM short film on America's got talent this wed then release the video friday or next monday? should we?" he asked his followers. "And yes Michael Madsen is in the #AsLongAsYouLoveMe short film."

He then went on to drop various facts he learned about the actor, ranging from "Michael Madsen has inside jokes with complete strangers" to "Michael Madsen built the hospital he was born in. #AsLongAsYouLoveMeVideo."

For any fans who weren't sure if Bieber was joking or not about Madsen's appearance in the clip, he added, "and start getting ready...the #AsLongAsYouLoveMeVideo is coming very very soon! and yes ... Michael Madsen is in it! #BELIEVE that ... Michael Madsen is still trending!! haha. AMAZING. He is in the #AsLongAsYouLoveMeVideo and he also has inside jokes with complete strangers. no really. i wasnt kidding."

Madsen is known for a number of iconic roles in films like "Sin City," "Reservoir Dogs" and both "Kill Bill" films. The video was directed by Anthony Mandler, who has worked with everyone from Rihanna to Fun., and most recently rewrote some history for Lana Del Ray's "National Anthem" video. In a still photo teased out from the "ALAYLM" video, Bieber looked a bit beat up, and the only major hint about the plot was that "It's a story of love .... #believe."

Whatever does end up happening in it, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, thinks it just might step up the 18-year-old's game. "Watching another cut of the #AsLongAsYouLoveMevideo - it is a game changer. really amazing @justinbieber @bigsean," he shared over the weekend.

"As Long as You Love Me" is the second single off Believe. It features Big Sean and was produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Bieber performed the track on Sunday with Sean at the Teen Choice Awards.

Justin Bieber Gets Bloody In 'As Long As You Love Me' Tease

Justin Bieber looked a little beaten and bloodied in a photo released by his "As Long as You Love Me" video director, Anthony Mandler. According to the director, "It's a story of love.... #believe."

He then tweeted a still photo of Bieber looking beaten up with blood dripping from his mouth, as if he had been punched. Perhaps Bieber must fight to keep his girl in the new video?

Bieber shot the clip earlier this month and on his Twitter teased that it would be along the lines of a short film. The video will also feature rapper Big Sean, who tweeted about how epic he thinks the video is going to be. "@justinbieber gonna be a GOOD vid!" he wrote in the midst of shooting. "Congrats boi."

Sean wasn't the only visitor on set. Bieber also got a number of other A-list drop-bys, though no word on whether they will appear in the clip. Bieber shared, "My big bros @usherraymondiv @iamwill and @asherRoth all came thru the video shoot. #Believe."

While little is known about what will happen in the video, other than Bieber getting hit, the singer's manager, Scooter Braun, shared that it would leave other guys very envious. "I promise on everything that every guy on the planet wishes they were Justin Bieber in this music video right now," he tweeted.

Bieber's longtime associate, videographer Alfredo Flores, added, "As Long as You Love Me video is epic! @justinbieber is destroying this dance. @BigSean is killing his verse. #GETREADY."

"As Long as You Love Me" is the second video and single from Bieber's chart-topping Believe album. This is the first time that Mandler has worked with Bieber, though he has already helmed major video releases for the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Usher and Jay-Z, to name a few. A release date for the video has yet to be announced.

This is not the first time this year that fans have seen Bieber get beaten up for his art. Earlier this year, Bieber appeared on the cover of Complex magazine, appearing bruised and battered and nursing his wounds by holding a steak up to his face.

Pictures from the set of Justin Bieber's new video clip reveal that one very lucky girl got the chance to kiss Justin Bieber -- in what looks like a very steamy embrace.

The day didn't start off so well for Justin -- who was booked for speeding after doing 80 miles per hour while trying to escape paparazzi.

Will Justin's new clip be anything like this one?

One witness, an former motor officer, told TMZ of the incident, "'Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane."

"If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac."

But the incident didn't seem to faze Justin too much, as he was later seen laughing and joking around with crew members on the set of his video clip.

And if the pictures reveal anything - this next video clip may be a continuation of the one for Boyfriend.

Justin Bieber rides a Segway scooter on set while working on his latest music video for his single “As Long As You Love Me” on Friday (July 6) in Los Angeles.

The song is the second single off of the 18-year-old’s Believe album.

“Just finished a great day of rehearsal for #AsLongAsYouLoveMe – video shoot coming next,” Justin tweeted. “Request it and get ready! #BELIEVE that! We can’t wait!”

He later added, “Day 1 #AsLongAsYouLove Me Video Shoot with @bigsean. My big bros @usherraymondiv @iamwill and @asherRoth all came thru the video shoot. #Believe.”

Justin Bieber Gets A Big Gift From Big Sean

When Justin Bieber and Big Sean teamed up for Bieber's Believe single "As Long as You Love Me," he probably had no idea just how generous the rapper is. Sean didn't just gift the 18-year-old with a verse on the song, he also recently gave him a piece of bling that he had had his eye on for a while.

"I was just talking to Big Sean about it, and the nicest thing Sean said was, not just that Justin is such a big star and that he's so talented; he said, 'It's nice to see you can be that big and not be affected by it.' And it was really nice," Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, told MTV News.

"When they first met, Sean has this ring. It was his first ring he ever bought, the first piece of jewelry when he got his record deal. He gave it to Justin [at the 'Today' show]. He said, 'I know you said you liked it, and I want to say thank you for involving me in the process and being a part of this. And I want you to have the ring.' And he took it off, and Justin put it on and it was a real genuine moment. They're friends."

Sean shared his warm, fuzzy feelings for Bieber with MTV News, recently calling the pop star "a true G."

"People may not know that," Big Sean said recently. "Nah, but he is a good dude, man. And I ain't toning down nothing — I'm diverse, I can write raps to any type of song."

But Sean is hardly the only rapper who has a "genuine" connection to the G. Braun talked a lot about why the hip-hop community has embraced the young star.

"One, I think they know it's authentic, and two, you got to remember Justin's past," Braun said. "I was the vice president of So So Def Records, and then I left, and Justin was the second artist I found after Asher Roth. So here's this 13-year-old living in Atlanta, no one knows who he is, and he's just riding around with me, and we're in the studio with Ludacris. We're in the studio with T.I. We're in the studio with Big Boi from Outkast, hanging out, and he got exposed to that really early."
