Cher Lloyd Reveals She is Embarrassed by Her Behavior During 'X Factor'

Cher Lloyd waves to the cameras on Friday afternoon (June 13) in London, England.

The 20-year-old singer was heading home after leaving the Sony offices.

That night in an interview with British TV personality Alan Carr, Cher revealed she was a pain during her time on X Factor.

“It’s funny now I can look back at it being the person I am now, but I’m so embarrassed,” Cher told Alan.

She continued to say, “The things I would do you wouldn’t believe. I’d bite their head off over something ridiculous because I was wrapped up in this ‘everyone is against me, the press hates me, everyone hates me.’”

The day before, an excited Cher got ready for a Twitter Q&A session during her visit to the Sugarscape offices.

Simon Cowell lowers the age limit to 14 on The X Factor in the hopes of finding another, even younger, One Direction

Simon Cowell has lowered the entry age this year for The X Factor to 14 in the hope of finding another, even younger, One Direction.

According to The Sun newspaper he is convinced that the next big thing could be a young star, or a young group.

The last time that The X Factor allowed such young contestants on the show was in 2008 when Liam Payne from One Direction made it all the way to the judge's house in Barbados before he exited the show. After that year the show's limit went up to 16 where it has remained until now.

A show source told the paper: 'Simon knows that young people make the best pop stars.

'He desperately wants another One Direction or Cher Lloyd and they were very young when they appeared on the show.'

There are some though who disagree with the age limit being lowered on the show and who would prefer if it was actually increased to 18 from the current 16.

Simon might indeed have a fight on his hands though with former judge Gary Barlow only one who has been highly critical of 16 as as an age that is still too young to be on the talent show.

'Sixteen is just too young to be in this competition with this kind of pressure,' he told contestant Luke Lucas back in 2011 at the judges' houses stage.

One of last year's contestants, then 16-year-old Tamera Foster, battled nerves throughout the show and ultimately was eliminated, but has subsequently been picked up and signed to Simon's record label at age 17.

The class of 2013 are currently fulfilling dates across the UK for the obligatory X Factor tour, and Tamera has been joined on the road by the likes of Luke Friend, Nicholas McDonald and current beau Sam Callahan – with whom she was spotted strolling through Brighton ahead of a gig in the town.

Said tour has been a big success for Tamera, having helped her land a record deal with Syco after impressing the organisation's executives with her performances on the run of gigs.

The young singer was clearly delighted about putting pen to paper on a deal with the company and took to her Twitter account on Sunday morning to confirm the news.

Meanwhile the announcement of the age lowering on The X Factor comes just ahead of the first major open audition for The X Factor.

It takes place on Saturday in Dublin's Convention Centre.

The paper also notes that Welsh fans can try out at a mobile audition van on Barry Island if they prefer.

A representative from The X Factor confirmed the age lowering to 14 to MailOnline saying: 'This is to allow a new generation of budding singers to audition for the series. Anyone under the age of 18 will need their parent or guardian's permission to apply and they will also need their parent or guardian to accompany them to their audition.'

'X Factor' Cancelled By Fox

It’s official — The X Factor is not coming back.

The competition show, which featured Demi Lovato, Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland and Simon Cowell as judges, has been axed, after crowning Alex and Sierra the season three winners.

“I’ve had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on The X Factor and American Idol,” Simon shared in a statement.

He continued, “And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public (most of the time!). Last year, for a number of reasons, I had to make a decision to return to the UK version of The X Factor in 2014. So for now, I’m back to the UK and I want to thank Fox for being an incredible partner and I also want to thank everybody who has supported my shows. America, I’ll see you soon!”

What Simon Cowell Is Looking for in Demi Lovato's Replacement on X Factor!

This season of X Factor recently ended, but that doesn't mean Simon Cowell and his team are taking a break.

Simon has known for quite some time that Demi Lovato wouldn't be returning, but we didn't know he'd already been searching so hard for her replacement. "We started thinking about next year three or four months ago," he told us. "There was one person we were chasing, which is important for the show." (And no, he didn't give any clues!)

We know Simon wants to sit alongside talented people at the judges' table, but what does he really look for in them? "What's really important now is that with all these judges, we're going to call them 'mentors' and they've actually got to do the job we're paying them to do which is to turn [the contestants] into recording artists," the 54-year-old entrepreneur told us. "And not just say 'You're good' or 'You're bad.'"

The potential new mentors have to be ready to "live and breath the show, because the hours we put are huge," says Simon. And that's not just on set. "Every Sunday night, three or four hours at my house."

We can't wait to see who makes the cut!

Demi Lovato -- How Dare 'X Factor' Joke About My Drinking Problem

Demi Lovato is furious at the producers of "X Factor," grousing that she was blindsided by a skit that mocked her addiction ... TMZ has learned.

Mario Lopez introduced a skit which showed clips of Demi drinking what looked like booze, acting annoying and off center.

Demi is extremely upset because addiction has turned her life upside down. It got so bad, she was living in a sober house for more than a year just to avoid temptation.

You can see her reaction on the show ... at one point it appears she says "That's f**ked up."

Demi's already said she's leaving the show, but now it's pretty clear ... for her it couldn't be soon enough.

We contacted reps for the show ... so far no word back.

Demi Lovato Reveals Why She's Leaving 'X Factor' and the New Thing She's Going to Start

Demi Lovato confirmed that she will not be returning to X Factor after being a judge for two seasons.

After last night's live show and first night of the finale at X Factor, we caught up with Demi on the red carpet to find out why.

"I'm leaving to start a new chapter in my life," the 21-year-old told us. "I started the show being a singer and a musician and it's time that I go back to that." Demi has shared her passion with the show all season, but it's time she gets back to her own. "I'm so excited for 2014--I'm going to dedicate it completely and entirely to music. Touring and making a new album, possibly releasing one. I'm really focused and excited for it."

While Demi didn't know who she would like to replace her on the panel next to Simon Cowell, she did know what she's going to miss most. "Probably being able to sit next to Kelly and Paulina--they've been so incredible to me," she said. "Also helping contestants achieve their dreams. You get emotionally invested, and you get really passionate about helping them out and wanting them to have an awesome performance."

We'll definitely miss seeing Demi on X Factor, but it sounds like we're going to hear a lot more from her in 2014!

Who Will Replace Demi Lovato on 'X Factor'? Simon Cowell "Has Somebody in Mind"

Demi Lovato confirmed that she will not be coming back to X Factor for season 4, but will Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio? We talked with Simon Cowell on the red carpet at the finale last night to find out.

"Demi, I knew she wasn't coming back because she's touring," Simon told us, "so we always knew that." But, "In terms of next season, I don't know yet. They've all been great, but I think it's definitely time for a change." Even if Simon did want Kelly and Paulina back on the judge's table, "I have to talk to them to see if they want to come back and what their commitments are."

It's no secret that Demi has drawn in a younger audience for the show, and surely Simon wants to keep up that momentum. "There's somebody in mind that we've watched for a while for this show," Simon told us, "who suddenly became available." And while he didn't give a lot of clues, he did reveal that the person is "larger than life and would be spectacular."

Hmm, if he lands that big fish, will he finally take a break? Simon's been working hard for years--from American Idol to his record label Syco to X Factor--but now that he's got a baby on the way, we wonder if he plans to take some time off. "I'll drop dead working, you know," he told us. "And as long as we're relevant, as long as we're having hits and as long as we're creating stars then I love this job. And the minute it stops then we have to stop. I've always said that."

What a work ethic! Who do you want to see on as a judge next season for X Factor?

Lea Michele and 1D Performed Before the 'X Factor' Crowned Its New Winners

Glee may not have aired tonight, but the season finale of Fox's X Factor was packed with music performances from Mary J Blige, Pitbull, Leona Lewis, Leah Michele and One Direction, all before the new winners of the X Factor were crowned.

Spoiler: The winners of this season are none other than Simon Cowell's group and real-life couple, Alex and Sierra.

Before winning, the twosome sing the classic Christmas hit "All I Want for Christmas." Glee starlet Leah Michelle followed their performance with a special taped number. Wearing a black blazer with matching leggings and a white top plus black heels, she belted out her new single "Cannonball." The song was written in memory of her late boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith. She was clearly emotional, but also extremely strong.

Right before the winners are announced, previous X Factor champs One Direction performed their latest song "Midnight Memories." Liam Payne let the crowd in on the groups holiday plans. "I think we are going to go home and chill with our families... eat lots of food and get really fat," he said. Then Harry Styles answered yet another burning question: Has he been naughty or nice this year?

Harry said with a smile, "I have been pretty nice."

What should Santa bring "nice" Harry?

A source tells the site, "She plans to spend next year completely focused on her music," adding, "She had a great run and a good time."

Demi Lovato's hit 'Skyscraper' is being covered by X Factor champion Sam Bailey for her winner's single, and the former Disney star has spoken out in support of the 36-year-old ex-prison warden's interpretation.

The track is currently a comfortable frontrunner in the race to Christmas No1 this weekend, opening with 45,000 sales in its first day on release.

Demi, who also judges on The X Factor USA, wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations @SamBaileyREAL on winning X Factor UK!! Love your version of Skyscraper!"

Sam responded: "thankyou so much xx"

Sam did, as was announced on The Xtra Factor on Sunday, win a remarkable 8 of the 10 live shows. Nicholas McDonald, who finished as runner-up, won the other two.

The star walked away with the SyCo record deal on Sunday following a reprise of 'The Power Of Love', as well as a cover of Lady Gaga's 'The Edge Of Glory' and a show-stopping duet with Nicole Scherzinger.

'Skyscraper' was an international hit for Lovato, hitting No10 in the US in 2011 and No7 in the UK earlier this year.

Simon Cowell Wants Miley Cyrus to Be 'X Factor (US)' Judge

Simon Cowell wants Miley Cyrus for "The X Factor (US)". The British music mogul reveals to Mashable that the twerking queen is in his dream team of judges for the singing competition series, saying, "I recently met Miley Cyrus, and I really liked her. She has an opinion for sure."

In addition to the young performer who "would be really fun to watch," Cowell gives the other two spots in his dream team to fellow former "American Idol" judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. "I would pick Paula and Randy from American Idol - they were my favorite judges because we had an incredible time together," he admits. "It was never planned to be what it became, and it was really special."

In a conference call with reporters, Cowell also claims that a new season pick-up for the U.S. version of "The X Factor" is happening despite the show's disappointing ratings. "The show will be back next season," he says, adding that he "might have a different kind of role" but "we haven't discussed that yet."

The 54-year-old television producer additionally hints that the show may undergo a format change. "It might just be on one night a week," the expectant father says. "It could work well. [Two nights] is probably too much."

"The X Factor (US)" season 3 is nearing its end, with the two-part finale set to air on Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19.

One Direction cause Twitter meltdown with X Factor final performance as fans ask if they're ''carved by angels''

Any big One Direction performance is likely to cause a meltdown with their fans.

So it's hardly a surprise Directioners got incredibly excited when their idols performed on the X Factor live final on Sunday night.

The boyband took to the stage at London's Wembley Arena to sing their song Midnight Memories.

And the sound of their beautiful voices and the sight of them leaping around the giant stage proved to be too exciting for some devotees.

After seeing the band perform, one fan wrote: "This time three years ago One Direction had just left the X Factor competition and now they're performing and the biggest band. I'm unstable."

Another ecstatic fan tweeted: "I just watched One Direction on the X Factor. Oh my gosh they are carved by angels????"

In fact, some One Direction fans were left so stunned by their love for the band's performance they completely lost track of the whole point of the X Factor - to find a new pop legend - and demanded the rest of the show be handed over to Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.

One person wrote: "Hey X Factor here's an idea. Quickly announce the winner and then let One Direction sing the rest of the album."

However, some fans had joined in the Twitter meltdown in a slightly different way and didn't seem overly impressed by their new look.

The band wore dark T-shirts and jeans and attempted to go for more of a rock look to go with the sound of their track Midnight Memories.

One Twitter user wrote: "When did One Direction turn into rugged punk rock men what happened to the bugglegum pop look?"

Another posted: "Why are One Direction trying to be a rock band? OMG?"

But the lads certainly seemed popular with the Wembley Arena audience who screamed the roof off as they performed.

Speaking about their plans for the new year, Niall told X Factor host Dermot O'Leary: "We'll be back on tour in April. We go back to South America and we happen to be playing Wembley Stadium."

And on their plans for Christmas Harry joked he was looking forward to the break, saying: "We're absolutely sick of each other."

Demi's Final Acts Get Eliminated, Who Does She Think Will Win X Factor Now?

X Factor is now down its Final Four!

With a shocking elimination night, Demi Lovato's last two girls were both sent home. Though Rion Paige and Ellona Santiago's X Factor journey ends here, Demi believes this is just their start.

"Look at One Direction, the biggest boy band in the world. Emblem3, they performed tonight and won a Teen Choice award," Demi said. "I'm taking Fifth Harmony and Little Mix on tour with me and they [Fifth Harmony] didn't win the competition either. I think this show is a platform for everybody." And being on TV definitely helps them, but, "It's what they do after the show that's really the competition," said Demi. "Its interesting to see who works hard after the show and what happens next."

Does Demi have plans to work with either of the girls? "I'm excited to see where they're going to go after this," she told us. "I'd be really blessed if I was able to help mentor them in the real world. You really get to have a lot of freedom."

Now that Demi has no more acts in the competition, she is rooting for everyone--but while she respectively listed the final four and gave reasons on why each should win, she ultimately revealed who she thinks will come out on top. "I think Alex and Sierra are going to take it. They're so talented and they're No. 1 on iTunes! It's insane," she told us. "I think that goes to show that even if they don't win, they're going to succeed."

Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland burst into tears as the X Factor gets emotional

There was hardly a dry eye in the house on Wednesday when Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and two members of the boyband Restless Road all broke down on The X Factor.

First to crumble was Simon Cowell's boyband protégé Colton Pack who unleashed a torrent of tears after singing a country version of Avicii's Wake Me Up.

Pack, a small town 18-year-old from West Virginia then set off Lovato, who later bawled at two other acts on the show.

'Stop crying, you are making me cry right now,' former Disney starlet told the blubbering teenager.

'I'm trying,' he sniffed, while triggering the tear ducts of his baritone band mate Zach Beeken, 18, who hugged him for support.

'You guys need to cry, this is real and it's happening,' encouraged Mexican pop icon Paulino Rubio, 42.

Clearly overcome Pack rambled on about their tiny hometowns of Danese, West Virginia; Summerville, South Carolina and Indiana, Pennsylvania: 'We're doing this for them, It's not just about us anymore, it's more than that...so much more,' he sobbed.

Further sentimentality unfurled after mildly disabled Rion Paige sang an unplugged version of Glass by Thompson Square.

The likeable 13-year-old, who has a condition called AMC, which freezes her hands and wrists said she wanted to show the public that she's 'a fighter'.

The first to weep was Paige's mother, closely followed by Lovato, then Rowland, whose voice cracked half way through her appraisal.

'So beautiful,' chocked the former Destiny's Child, 32.

'Sweet girl,' gushed Lovato, with tears streaming down her face.

The slushy performances were part of the top six's battle for a place in the semi finals.

Each contestant attempted one hit from the music business' greatest 'divas' and one completely 'unplugged' track.

One of the strongest acts was lovebirds Alex and Sierra, who nailed Say My Name by Destiny's Child – which Cowell devoted to the band's founding member Kelly Rowland.

The adorable Florida couple handled the down-tempo version beautifully, and even Rowland bobbed her head in approval.

'You guys really pulled that off actually,' said Rowland while praising Sierra's newfound 'sass'.

'I get the feeling I'm looking at winners here,' purred Cowell, while greedily eyeing the 'gap in the market' for the duet.

The couple later raised the roof with a romantic ballad Say Something by Great Big World.

Sierra Deaton, 22, played the piano for 'the first time in front of anyone' while her lover Alex Kinsey, also 22, strummed guitar.

'You never took your eyes off each other, it brought tears to my eyes,' said Lovato, who was clearly in an emotional mood.
Cowell called it his 'favourite performance of the season'.

First of the night were Restless Road, who didn't evoke tears with their first track - Taylor Swift's heartbreak track Red – which they sang in growling harmonies.

Rowland thought their vocals were 'tighter' than in previous weeks and Lovato agreed that they had 'grown as artists'.
'I love to watch you, little Elvis,' cooed Rubio to Colton Pack.

'You guys have to be in the final, you deserve it and you've really gelled as a band,' said Cowell, who threw the singers together a few weeks ago, in anticipation of their lucrative potential.

Teen cutie Paige last week was in the bottom two and she divided the judges with her attempt at Carrie Underwood's difficult tune See You Again.

'It's always genuine, you sing from a real place and you look beautiful my dear,' congratulated Rowland.

'It was a good song but not the best song perhaps,' Cowell told the jovial Florida native.

'No one has fire behind their eyes like you do,' Lovato told the school kid, who lives with her parents in Jacksonville.

Leona Lewis Disses Miley Cyrus and Rihanna's Twerking Ways

Who is dissing Miley Cyrus now? You might be surprised by this one! It's the original X-Factor winner Leona Lewis!

The U.K. singer recently slammed Miley and Rihanna's explicit twerking and dancing ways and their effect on children. She thinks the ladies are setting a bad example to young fans.

"Being sexual and in your face is not great for girls who are quite young. It depends what environment you're brought up in, but personally I've got a god-daughter and little nieces and I don't want them to see me acting crazy and naked in my music videos," the singer recently told the U.K's Mirror.

"But then when my little god-daughter is watching videos and doing all these moves, I say to my best friend 'you need to turn that off...she shouldn't be watching that," she continued.

Leona doesn't put all of the problem in Miley and Ri-Ri's hands though.

"It's up to the parents as well to be able to control what their children are watching. It's like, 'don't twerk, you're a six year old. Stop it," Leona added.

"You can't blame those girls, who are being young and sometimes dumb. They're just expressing themselves how they want to."

"Girls are not perfect, we all make mistakes."

What do you think about her anti-twerking statements? Leona tends to stay out of the music world drama so we don't think she said all of that to start a fight or for attention. She probably learned her lesson with that one when she was rumored to be dating One Direction's Liam Payne last year! Read about that here.

Do you agree with Leona and think Miley and Rihanna's dancing gives young fans the wrong impressions and ideas? Chime in!
