With her new punky platinum blonde hair and grown up image, Miley Cyrus is clearly hoping to distance herself from her squeaky clean Disney image.
And in her latest music video, Miley pushes more new boundaries by kissing fiance Liam Hemsworth, who's dressed as a unicorn and ends up in a cake-laden food fight.
The 19-year-old singer's vocals appear on new dubstep track Decisions from Israeli producer Borgore.
Miley appears mid way through the video dancing enthusiastically around the stage among a group of revellers.
The star sports a black top with a chunky silver necklace and earrings and happily pogos up and down with the rest of the throng.
At one point, the star is seen passionately kissing fiancé Liam Hemsworth, who was unrecognisable in a unicorn mask.
Borgore revealed to Rolling Stone that Miley asked for cake not to be plastered on her face, saying: 'It's clearly not part of my agenda. But she's pretty, so I cut her some slack.'
Cyrus clearly enjoyed shooting the video, telling the music magazine: 'That s*** was crazy. 'Borgore walked into his hotel room, and it was people in the weirdest clothes you've ever seen.
'My fiancé was dressed as a unicorn. We make out in the video, which is very funny. It's just the most random group. We walk in and we're like, "This feels like a party," so it's dope.'
Miley is also seen at the end of the video, sitting with the large cake on the back of a cart in a elaborate white party dress with the ocean at sunset as a backdrop, licking her fingers.
The subject of the song - Borgore's porn star ex girlfriend Jessie Andrews also makes an appearance in the video but arrived in the early hours of the morning after Miley had finished shooting her scenes.
'He wrote the song just as a single for him, and he didn't know Miley was going to be on it until after the fact, she told MTV. 'They pitched it to her and she liked it, so she got on the track.'
Jessie added that she understood Miley's need to opt for new projects away from the Hannah Montana role which made her famous.
'I understand where she's coming from, trying to break away from that,' she said. 'She doesn't want to be Hannah Montana anymore; she wants to be her own person.
'The way she's dressing, the hair, the music --everything is outside of the box. It didn't really surprise me.'
