Charice Looks Nothing Like She Did on 'Glee' Now--See the Pic!

Wow! Is that you Charice?

Following her Glee stint, the singer has been changing up her look, playing with colors and hairstyles, but now she looks completely different from the way she did on the show. In a snap posted by Sony Pictures on Twitter Wednesday, Charice palms a Swan Princess DVD and smiles, showing off a half shaved eyebrow, colored contacts and a short, edgy new 'do.

When she was on Glee, Charice wore her hair long, usually in soft curls, keeping her look glam for red carpets. The latest snap of her comes about nine months after she came out, after telling Filipino outlet "The Buzz" at the time, "Yes, I am a lesbian."

That aside, it's nice to see Charice smiling (and glowing) considering her rough end to last year when she reportedly tried to take her own life because of financial strains.

TOP PICK: Charice Opens Up About Cory Monteith in Blog Post

Charice has opened up about the loss of Cory Monteith in a new blog post written for CNN.

The 21-year-old musician/actress guest-starred as exchange student Sunshine Corazon for three episodes of Glee.

“Friendship is not defined by the length of time two people share together. One defining moment is all it takes for two individuals to call each other friends. Cory Monteith‘s life, short as it was, taught me that lesson. His death, sudden as it was, taught me that lesson.”

In her letter, Charice shares a heartfelt memory of Cory surprising her by making sure all of their Glee co-stars knew it was her birthday at midnight on set.

“To his fans around the world who mourn his passing, I am with you. I know how it feels. Let’s hold each other’s hand. Let’s remember Cory and continue to celebrate his music, his craft, his life. He will forever be in our hearts. I wish I could also embrace Cory‘s loved ones — his family and friends, his girlfriend Lea Michele. I will pray for all of you, too.”

Charice has become more open in regards to her love life. After publicly announcing that she is a lesbian during a Sunday episode of ABS-CBN's "The Buzz", the singer introduced her girlfriend Alyssa Quijano. "She's like my everything," she said in front of journalists on Monday, June 3.

Local media reported that the member of girl group AKA Jam proudly wore a promise ring which Charice gave. "The X Factor" Philippines judge also had a tattoo on her chest which read, "Let's start with forever." It was Robert Pattinson's line when his character Edward Cullen made his wedding toast in "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I".

Charice said that Alyssa was like a best friend and a sister, other than a girlfriend. The couple knew each other since they were young. The two were rivals in a local singing competition a few years back. They met again when Charice was a judge in "The X Factor" and Alyssa was a contestant.

In regards to Charice's confession about her sexual preference, Melvin Castro, executive secretary of the Episcopal Commission on Family and Life of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, said that Charice was "experiencing an identity crisis." "We would rather not pre-judge her. Let's hope that there will be people out there that will help guide her with her sexual orientation called same-sex attraction," he said, as quoted by the Manila Bulletin. He also hoped her family would make Charice realize that having a same-sex attraction does not mean she has to engage in a lesbian relationship.

Glee star and international recording artist Charice has come out as a lesbian.

The 21-year-old singer made the brave reveal during an interview with the Filipino program The Buzz.

“Yes, I am a tomboy,” Charice said, using a common Filipino colloquial term for lesbian. “I don’t know what’s the problem with that. Because for me, there isn’t a problem with that.”

“Now, I’d like to ask for forgiveness to those who aren’t able to understand,” Charice added. “I just wanna say thank you personally to all my fans, to all the people who are still supporting me, who are still there for me, and honestly I am very, very happy.”

Nick Jonas hails Charice, Lea

KEVIN Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, collectively known as the Jonas Brothers, said they are excited to perform in front of their Filipino fans.

In an interview on Thursday, the trio admitted that they are surprised to have a lot of Filipino fans who have been waiting for them to do a show.

“Always heard from fans online to please come, please come. Luckily, we’re able to go back,” Kevin said.

Nick, for his part, said he is happy to fi nally get a taste of Filipino food, which he has been hearing from his brother Joe who recently visited Manila for an endorsement.

“The seafood that we already had was delicious, the best in my entire life,“ he said.

But aside from the food, the Jonas Brothers also praised the Filipinos for their hospitality and professionalism. Nick previously worked with FIlipino artists Charice and Lea Salonga.

“When I did the song for Charice, she came in the studio and she was filming a movie. She was really busy with that, was really tired but she came in and knows that I’m in the studio,“ said Nick, who worked with Charice for the song “One Day.“

“With Lea, she was the sort of the role model for all of us in the sense that we are all sort of inspired to be as passionate.

“I love her. She’s amazing, so talented. We actually talked about the Philippines. It’s nice to meet her. She’s a legend. She’s so sweet. She talked about so many things about the Philippines and Filipinos,“ added Nick, who met Salonga during the 25th anniversary concert of the Cameron Mackintosh musical “Les Miserables.“

The Jonas Brothers performed on Oct. 19 at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, and on Oct. 20 at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.

Nick Jonas Says Writing 'One Day' For Charice Was 'Organic'

Nick Jonas has always been somewhat of a prodigy. So it's no surprise that he is spending his time away from the Jonas Brothers crafting tracks for other pop singers. And the track he wrote for Charice, "One Day," which recently premiered in an Acuvue commercial during an episode of "Glee," shows Jonas' ability to branch out and write for other singers' voices.

"I co-wrote the song while I was in Nashville, and it's a cool song," Jonas told MTV News. "Basically, the agency came and said, 'Hey we need a song with this lyric ['one day'] and if you could, find a way to craft it.' It was a really organic vibe that came from the songwriting session where we said, 'If we can infuse this word here, that'd be cool.' "

Nick took the task to heart and managed to write a funky, midtempo feel-good track. "The song just came to life then [and] working with Charice was amazing," he said. "I flew to Boston to produce the song for her, and she was shooting a movie there, so it was kind of a fun experience. We had a great time."

"The main thing about Charice that people really connect to ... and kind of really love about her, is the fact that she is a normal girl and really shines because of her vocal talent," he continued. "I was so blessed to produce her vocal. It's amazing to see this big voice come out of her, especially on the song we did." The song was written as apart of the Acuvue campaign, but Nick says it's about more than just contact lenses. "It's a great campaign," he explained. "It's about following your dreams."

And since Charice occasionally guest-stars on "Glee" and the song premiered during an airing of the show, we asked Nick if he's considered getting his Gleek on. "Definitely a fan of the show. I think anything that keeps music a part of popular culture is a great thing," he said. "As a music lover, I'm a big fan of it, especially because all of the songs are classics and I know a lot of the people that produce the music for that show and I think they do a great job. So if there was a role for me that they thought would be cool, I'd love to do it.

Greyson Chance announces album title, “Hold on ‘Til the Night,” on “Good Morning America”

Oklahoma teen music star Greyson Chance appeared on “Good Morning America” today to perform and talk up “Waiting Outside the Lines,” the lead-off single from his forthcoming album.

The Edmond youth revealed that his debut album, which is in progress, will be titled “Hold on ‘Til the Night” and “it’s going to be out before school,” which presumably means late summer or early fall.

The 13-year-old released the “Waiting Outside the Lines” EP this week, featuring the title track plus a remixed version he and Charice recorded, along with Greyson’s covers of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and Augustana’s “Fire.” His video for “Waiting Outside the Lines” is the free video of the week on iTunes.

On Monday, Greyson will headline the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, which also will feature Willow Smith and Colbie Caillat. Past headliners include the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.




The singer/songwriter/pianist rocketed to online stardom about a year ago after a YouTube video of him performing “Paparazzi” at a local talent show went viral and attracted the attention of TV host Ellen DeGeneres, who signed Greyson to her boutique label.

Bieber and Pempengco are teaming up for at least three show this holiday season and will be spending many weeks together through the end of the year.

With so many news outlets and a 24 hour news cycle there is no doubt that this time together will turn into rumors and lies about them being a couple, just as it happened with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez and Bieber and Jasmine V.
