Selena Gomez has admitted that living her private life in public after her break-up from Justin Bieber made her "stressed out".
The high-profile pair are believed to have split at the end of last year, but in recent months have been romantically linked again.
In an E! interview special with Ryan Seacrest premiering this Sunday, Selena was asked if dealing with such sensitive personal issues in public ever gets "unbearable."
"I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me being, like, way stressed out about it," she told the TV host-and-producer. "And it's hard, because what do you do? Do you just wanna sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere?"
Selena seeks solace from her complicated love life with her family. The 20-year-old star hopes to find independence in the near future though.
"Yeah, you know I think it's time," the singer-and-actress revealed about getting her own home.
"I didn't ever wanna be forceful to saying, 'OK, I've made enough to get my own house and OK, let's blow it off and do whatever.' I just love being with my family and I love knowing that they're there. But yeah, I think it's probably time for me to get my own house."
Speculation is rife that Selena and Justin have rekindled their romance. The Canadian superstar is said to have convinced Selena to give him another chance.
“Justin - being the Casanova that he is - was able to change her mind... and on July 4th, we're told he won her back by promising to change his ways,” TMZ reported last week.
Justin's mother Pattie Mallette recently spoke about her 19-year-old son's love life and revealed she hopes he finds someone to settle down with.
"I think every mom wants their child with a great person," she answered Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O when quizzed about her son's relationship with Selena.
"I'm gonna support him no matter who he chooses. I don't wanna get too involved in his dating life."
Selena is said to be a stabilising influence in Justin's life. The star has been hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons of late including urinating in a mop bucket and assaulting a neighbour.
