No bling here! Emma Watson looks elegant in a cut-out print dress as she attends society wedding in Vienna

In her new film The Bling Ring she plays a celebrity-obsessed teen, who wears garish tracksuits and minidresses.

But Emma Watson looked a far cry from her character on Saturday as she headed to a wedding at St Michael's church Vienna wearing a chic Carven print dress and heels.

The 23-year-old looked modest but fashion forward in the the knee-length outfit, which had cutaway panels just under the bust-line.

Emma jetted from New York to Austria to attend the lavish society wedding of her friend and stylist Caroline Sieber with pal Derek Blasberg.

And instead of trying to blend in with the rest of the guests, the actress seemed keen to make an impact in the attention-grabbing ensemble.

Costing around £600, the avant-garde red safari-print dress was fitted around the waist and cut just below her knee, giving Emma a demure look but managing to accentuate her slimline frame.

The star kept the rest of the look minimal, wanting to leave the focus on the knockout dress, accessorising with just a delicate gold necklace.

She wore her dark hair loose and poker straight and kept her make-up pared-back, looking a far cry form her alter-ego in Sofia Coppola's new film.

'All my usual fashion views went out the window,’ she said recently. ‘[I had] visible cleavage and very short skirts.’

She told The Radio Times, that unlike some stars, she has a minimal wardrobe and only eight pairs of shoes.

‘I’ve got about eight pairs of shoes and that’s it,' she said, while discussing what it was like to see inside Paris Hilton's dressing room while shooting the film.

'There’s a whole new definition to celebrity now,' Emma added. 'And I think that’s why you see a lot of actors blanching at being associated with that word “celebrity” because it’s become something that isn’t really associated with having a craft.'

'But it’s easy for me to sound like a total hypocrite because, of course, I’m dressed in designer clothes right now.'

Stylist Caroline wore a custom-made Chanel couture gown for her wedding to Fritz Von Westenholz, with the likes of Pippa Middleton and Tallulah Harlech also in attendance.

The day before the wedding all of the guests dressed up in traditional Austrian costumes for a dinner party.
