Justin Bieber: Shut Out of the Grammys, But the Billboard Music Awards Love Him

The Grammys may have snubbed Justin Bieber this year, but the Billboard Music Awards are giving him his due.

The Biebs is nominated for Billboard's top prize, facing off against Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and One Direction for Top Artist, and he received five other nods---Top Male Artist, Billboard 200 Artist, Social Artist, Top Pop Album and Pop Artist.

Last December when the Grammy nominations were announced, the "Boyfriend" crooner and his manager, Scooter Braun, sounded off when the pop star and his latest album, Believe, weren't on the list (even though it was the sixth-highest selling album of that year).

Braun shared his sentiments about the snub on Twitter, saying, "The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one."

"I felt the same way that Scooter [Braun] felt, I just can't really... it's good that he can put it out there and say that," Justin told Billboard after the Grammy nominations were revealed. "He had my back just like any manager would. My whole life I've dreamed of winning a Grammy. At this point, the excitement of that has gone down. I'm more excited to just make great music for my fans. That's just something that if it happens, it happens."

Bieber will also be performing at the Billboard Music Awards when the show kicks off live at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas May 19.
