But the pair are currently making the most of a bit of an escape from their showbiz lifestyles in favour of something a lot more low-key.
The Hannah Montana favourite and her Hunger Games star beau are on a romantic getaway in Costa Rica.
It looks like the couple have been feeling at one with nature recently as they were seen a hike with friends.
Miley and Liam stripped down to their swimwear and took what was no doubt a very refreshing dip in the river.
Miley, 20, had been dressed in a skimpy outfit in the form of a black tank top and Daisy Dukes.
The starlet was then seen wearing a printed cream two-piece as she chatted away to her pals.
Meanwhile Liam stood out in the group, not merely for his hunky looks but also thanks to his rainbow-coloured tie dye swimming trunks.
The 23-year-old had also been seen wearing a white tank top as they clambered over rocks ahead of the swimming session.
Miley and Liam were seen jetting out of Los Angeles together last Friday, along with Liam’s eldest brother Luke, his wife Samantha and their three children, Holly, Ella and Harper Rose.
It seems the trip to Central America was planned in order to celebrate Liam’s birthday, which took place on Sunday.
On Friday Miley and Liam, who starred together in 2010’s The Last Song were named as the eighth highest grossing on-screen couple of the past three years, raking in $63million at the box office.
The top spot was taken by Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who grossed a staggering $1.17billion.
