TOP PICK: Lea Michele Started Drinking as a Toddler, Discusses Plastic Surgery With Chelsea Handler

Lea Michele's new book, Brunette Ambition, is all about lifestyle, eating healthy, and taking care of yourself, so Chelsea Handler was curious when the Glee star wrote that she's been drinking since she was a little toddler.

"It makes me seem crazy!" Michele responded, giggling on Chelsea Lately Thursday, May 29. "I'm Italian, so it was like, at the dinner table it would be Pellegrino, a jug of soda, and a huge thing of wine. So, everyone was just drinking wine, like it was part of, like, you know, what you would have along with your dinner."

The actress, 27, accustomed to the lifestyle, explained how this sparked some interesting moments in high school. "Growing up, I'd be having dinner with my boyfriend and his parents," Michele explained, "And I'd be like, 'Where's the wine? Pass the wine.' At like 17, and they were like, 'This girl's crazy.'"

She added that her intention was never to get wasted. "When they make it so you can have it, then you don't want it," the star explained. "It's when they're like, 'You can't have this,' kids are like, 'We gotta get that booze.'"

Though she started drinking at a young age, Michele shared how there were other "grown-up" things that simply were not for her—one being plastic surgery.

Michele explained how she had met with a Hollywood manager at the age of 13, and was told by this person: "'As soon as you turn 15, it's time for a nose job.'"

"Obviously, I didn't get it done," Michele said. "Wherever she is, she can go f--- herself."

Handler, 39, gets visibly riled, quipping, "If you're a kid, you shouldn't want to get plastic surgery. You don't even know how your face is going to turn out!"

TOP PICK: Lea Michele Covers 'Glamour UK' April 2014

Lea Michele goes a bit retro on the April 2014 cover of Glamour UK.

The 27-year-old actress/singer opened up on the loss of Cory Monteith and not being ready to move on just yet. Check it:

On losing Cory Monteith: “I immediately started to try and process everything. I didn’t drown myself in anything toxic. Now I feel a little bit more back together and I have this blank canvas in front of me, which is what my life can be. At the start, it’s hard because you’re so physically and mentally shocked and damaged, but after a while you get tired of physically feeling so horrendous, so I started doing yoga, which really helped. Then gradually your mind catches up with your body. Now I feel a little bit more back together and I have this blank canvas in front of me, which is what my life can be. There’s something sad about that but also something good, because I will take that blank canvas and make something beautiful out of it.”

On feeling Cory in her presence: “Every day when I go running, I feel like he’s pushing me to run harder. I’m just so glad we’re in a new year. I feel physically and emotionally very strong. You don’t know how strong you are until you have to be. I lost my grandfather a couple of years ago and I always feel that he’s watching over me. I feel the exact same way about Cory. Every day when I go running, I feel like he’s pushing me to run harder.”

On her future with Cory: “I feel like I was given the best part of Cory and I’m thankful for that. We talked about a lot of things. We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old and who would be fat and how we would stay thin. We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We were done. We were it. When you’re at that place in your life with someone, you talk about everything.”"

On not being ready to date: “I’ve only ever had serious relationships so it’s an adjustment putting myself back into a place of being alone. And I was under a Cory Monteith spell…it’ll take time to readjust my mind and I’m really not wanting to do that right now. I feel like it’s so important to make sure that I’m 100% OK before I can get into a relationship. But people have to understand that I can’t be alone forever. Cory wouldn’t want that.”

TOP PICK: Lea Michele's 'If You Say So' Lyrics: Her Heartbreaking Cory Monteith Tribute

The lyrics of Lea Michele's new song, "If You Say So," which she co-wrote one week after the death of Cory Monteith, make for a powerful tribute.

"If You Say So" comes from Lea's debut album, Louder...and we honestly don't know how she pulls off singing this without completely breaking down.

She recently explained to V magazine, "I just feel like people should hear it and I don't know if I'm ever going to talk about it. It's just one of those things where I understand what it means and you can take it or leave it. That song is for me."

"If You Say So" lyrics include:

It's been seven whole days, seven whole days
Since you paralyzed me
Seven whole days, seven whole days
Since you lost your fight
And I can't get the last words that you said
Can't get those words out of my head
Seven whole days, seven whole days and four words
And I can't get away from the burning pain a light you wake
And the fallen hero haunts my thoughts
How could you leave me this way

It's been seven whole days without your embrace
I wanna see your face
I got some things to say
Was just a week ago
You said "I love you, girl"
I said "I love you more"
And a breath, a pause, you said, "If you say so"

TOP PICK: Lea Michele: 'V' Magazine Feature!

Lea Michele is beaming in this shot from her feature for V magazine.

Shot by Terry Richardson, the 27-year-old actress opened up about her music, and her goody two-shoes image. Check it:

On finding her own sound for Louder: “I started working with Anne Preven, Felicia Barton, and Bonnie McKee right out of the gate, and we came up with some great, awesome pop songs. But closer to the beginning of this year – four or give months into making the album – the label was like, ‘this is great, but we need more of you in here. You sound like you’re singing awesome songs that are similar to Katy or Keily. We need more Lea Michele.’”

On the song ‘If You Say So,’ her tribute to Cory Monteith: “It’s the only song that no one’s heard. I can’t talk about it until people hear it. I just feel like people should hear it and I don’t know if im ever going to talk about it. It’s just one of those things where I understand what it means and you can take it or leave it. That song is for me.”

On defying her goody two shoes image: “My friends call me Grandma, but like, Grandma’s killing it right now. I’m pretty sure Grandma nailed it in a half-naked Terry Richardson shoot, okay? So I’m fine with it. I just do my thing. I do wht’s best for me. That’s it.”

On doing what makes her feel good: “I don’t like things that other people like. I don’t like clubs or crazy, loud music. I don’t drink a lot, and maybe that makes me boring, but I’d rather be in bed watching Homeland with my cat, Sheila, eating a sandwich.”

Spoiler: The winners of this season are none other than Simon Cowell's group and real-life couple, Alex and Sierra.

Right before the winners are announced, previous X Factor champs One Direction performed their latest song "Midnight Memories." Liam Payne let the crowd in on the groups holiday plans. Harry said with a smile, "I have been pretty nice."

That's some great company to keep.

In a new interview with MTV News, Lea shared that after boyfriend Cory Monteith died, Stevie reached out to the Glee star.

She explained, "I had so many amazing people reach out to me, there for me through all of this. And I had the pleasure of having Miss Stevie Nicks call me when Cory passed away and she was so wonderful."

Lea explained, "She's so insightful, she's so incredible," adding that in the letter, Stevie said the Glee star would "find strength through my music."

She said it was "hard to grasp on to the fact that anything could help [me cope with Monteith's death]," but ultimately, Lea found her strength working on her new album Louder, explaining, "[Music] is and it has and it will continue to be my source of strength in all of this."

Lea also talked about initially making an album that was "something fun" for her fans, as she noted, "At the time, when I started making the record, I was in a wonderful place in my life. I had been living in L.A. for a while, Glee was great and I had a wonderful boyfriend."

Lea Michele: I'm Staying Strong After Cory Monteith's Death

Lea Michele gets candid in the December 2013 issue of Elle magazine, on newsstands Nov. 19.

The 27-year-old Glee star opened up to the mag about her co-star boyfriend Cory Monteith‘s death, on who she turned to, and how she’s healing. Check it:

On how she’s handling Cory’s passing: “I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life. Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that’s what I’m going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people.”

On relying on friend Kate Hudson: “I called [Kate] and said, ‘I don’t know where I’m going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].’ She was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to stay at my house.’ Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I’ll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me.”

On taking time to heal: “It’s very hard. And you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don’t have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort.”

On why she never expected her TV career to take off: “I was told my whole life I would never do television because I was too ethnic. I was 100 percent focused and ready to be the best in the world [of Broadway] I was in.”

TOP PICK: 'Glee' Recap: Finn's Final Farewell in 'The Quarterback'

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!

JJJ hopes you had your tissues ready for the heartbreaking farewell to Cory Monteith during tonight’s episode of Glee. It was quite a doozy.

As creator Ryan Murphy mentioned, Finn’s death wasn’t exactly explained, but it really didn’t matter. The episode was about celebrating the character’s life. And boy did it.

It was tough to watch knowing that the tears and emotion by the actors were real, and we commend the cast for their stellar performances during such a difficult time. Our thoughts go out to everyone who knew and loved Cory. He will forever be remembered.

Click inside to read a full recap of tonight’s episode…

New Directions start off the episode with Rent‘s “Seasons of Love,” with cameos by all our old faves, including Puck (Mark Salling), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Mike (Harry Shum Jr.), Santana (Naya Rivera), and Mercedes (Amber Riley). While the funeral was said to be a few weeks before, Will (Matthew Morrison) invites everyone back to memorialize Finn in song. Mercedes jumps at the opportunity and slays her own version of “Stand By You,” which Finn sang in season one.

Puck seems to be the most angry in the wake of his best friend’s death, even stealing a memorial tree and bullying Kurt to give him Finn’s letterman jacket (which he doesn’t). He later gets drunk, screams, and ends up crying in Beast’s (Dot Marie Jones) arms right before he sings “No Surrender” and he’s accused of stealing the missing jacket. He and Beast re-plant the tree and toast to Finn’s life.

Back at home, Kurt helps Burt (Mike O’Malley) and Finn’s mom (Romy Rosemont) pack up his room, which is a beautifully sad moment. The broken trio remember the good and bad times, as they cry in each other’s arms.

Meanwhile, Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Artie (Kevin McHale) lead the glee club in “Fire and Rain” in the auditorium. Santana storms out at the end to give Sue (Jane Lynch) a piece of her mind after she spends the entire episode trying to derail everyone’s grief. But it turns out Sue just feels horrible about being mean to Finn and never telling him how much she actually liked him. Santana sings “If I Die Young” for her fallen buddy.

Rachel (Lea Michele) shows up toward the end of the episode and cries through a painfully perfect rendition of “Make You Feel My Love,” which she and Finn used to sing in the car together. She then talks to Will about the future she planned with Finn and they hang a photo of him in the choir room.

In the last scene, it’s revealed that Will was the one who stole the letterman jacket and holds it as he breaks down in Emma’s (Jayma Mays) arms, just as the screen fades to black and we see Cory‘s name appear.

WHAT DID YOU THINK of tonight’s tribute episode?

TOP PICK: Lea Michele Talks Cory Monteith Death: How She Lost Both Cory and Finn

Lea Michele is finally speaking out about the death of Cory Monteith, as we're set to see the cast of Glee say goodbye in tomorrow's special tribute episode.

As you'd imagine, the loss of Cory has been heartbreaking for Lea--doubly so, she explains in a new interview with TV Week Australia.

Lea explained, "For me personally, I've lost two people: Cory and Finn," adding, "We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic."

She also addressed the question on everyone's minds--how does she carry on and continue working on the show?

Lea shared, "Everyone is asking: 'Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?', but the truth is it's no harder at work than it is in life."

She continued, "So we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together."

Of the time she spent with Cory, Lea said, "I really woke up every single day feeling like I was in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him in my life."

She explained, "I feel like what happened with Cory (the cause of his death) was this big," as she held her fingers close to show a tiny amount, adding, "There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together I consider myself very lucky."

Lea is such an amazingly strong woman...and we love what she said about the time they had together. Just beautiful.
