Cher Lloyd mixes up her own drink for the 21st birthday celebration held at Steam & Rye in London on Friday night (July 18).

The 20-year-old singer, who will turn 21 on July 28th, was joined by her husband Craig Monk, who helped in mixing the drink up.

“I felt that I wasn’t good enough and had self-confidence issues. Everyone was saying ‘you should wear this’, and it was confusing,” Cher said about her evolving fashion style to Wonderland mag (via Mail Online).

She added: “I was OK before – I was the sort of girl who didn’t really care what people thought of me, so to be put in that position on the show was quite difficult. I’m 21 very soon, so I’ve grown up at lot since I was 16!”

That night in an interview with British TV personality Alan Carr, Cher revealed she was a pain during her time on X Factor.

“It’s funny now I can look back at it being the person I am now, but I’m so embarrassed,” Cher told Alan.

She continued to say, “The things I would do you wouldn’t believe. I’d bite their head off over something ridiculous because I was wrapped up in this ‘everyone is against me, the press hates me, everyone hates me.’”

The 20-year-old British beauty opened up to the mag about her new album, Sorry I’m Late, the recording process and life as a newlywed. Check it:


On her new album: “When I think about my first album, Sticks and Stones, it seems so young! I’ve changed a lot within the space of theses two albums. My voice has changed, my opinions and the things I want to write about. This album is a representation of me as an artist and as a person. It’s been so fun to walk into a studio and just write about anything I want to.”





On being back in the recording studio: “The process was easier than I expected! It’s my second album so I though that I’d struggle to find exactly what i was looking for. But as soon as I got into my writing sessions everything seemed to click! There are a lot of different sounds on this record and at times it was difficult to get the right balance. I’m somewhat of an experimenter so to be able to try different things was a lot of fun. I’ve definitely stayed true to myself on this album.”





On her new husband and future family: “I couldn’t imagine doing what I do on my own. Craig plays a big part in my career. I’m extremely lucky to have him here to support and guide me….I don’t have a specific age in mind, but I’ll know when the time is right! It’s exciting to think about! My mum had four and so did Craig’s mum, so…(laughs)”

Cher Lloyd Was 'Always On Guard' On Tour With Demi Lovato

Cher Lloyd may have walked away unscathed by any of the pranks on Demi Lovato's Neon Lights Tour, but that's only because she was fully prepared for what Demi had up her sleeve.

The U.K. "X Factor" alum warned Demi before she hit the road that she'd better "watch out" for any shenanigans, and when she stopped by MTV News recently, she told us how she dodged Demi's master plan.

"I heard that Demi was going to pull a prank on me — I heard it through the grapevine. And I had this big fluffy onesie in the back of my bus. ..." Lloyd said. "I just put the onesie on and I thought it would be funny 'cause I'll get onstage looking like an idiot, and she's going to do something to me, so I might as well stroll up looking like a tiger, lion or whatever it was. And she had this silly string, but she was cracking up so much that it was quite difficult to silly-string me. I'm always on guard for that sort of stuff — you can't catch me. I'd like to see you try!"

And Lloyd certainly had her guard up when the girls of Fifth Harmony, who were also openers on tour, decided to thank the "Neon Lights" singer for a spot on the tour with a pie in the face.

"I was in the room at the time," Lloyd said. "But most of the time, I'm in cloud cuckoo land, I just smile a lot and talk a lot, so I saw a pie come from somewhere, but I had no involvement. I ain't getting locked up for that sh--."

Now that the tour is officially wrapped, Lloyd is focusing on her upcoming second album, Sorry I'm Late, which hits stores May 27 and features the recently released tracks "Sirens" and "Dirty Love." Lloyd has been releasing her new music in a unique way. The "Want U Back" singer has teamed up with MTV to pick some very lucky fans to unveil new songs and unlock a piece of her album artwork.

"I've been tired of waiting and my fans are so eager to hear it and that's why I've had a fan release one of the tracks every two weeks," Lloyd said. "Because it's like this can't wait anymore and I know they can't either."
