Remember last week when Justin Bieber basically shaded Taylor Swift's buddy Shawn Mendes like no other? Well, he swears it wasn't as disrespectful as it seemed. So much so that he and Shawn both made sure to clear the drama up on Twitter shortly after.Justin revealed during an interview that he had never heard of his fellow Canadian. It seemed like a direct diss, but he promised to check him out. Well, the Biebs did what he said he would and listened to his stuff.
"Shawn I checked out the music and I'm so proud! So glad to see another boy from Canada crushin it. #canadiansdoitbetter," he captioned a photo of Shawn's single, "Stitches."

"It was really cool, really sweet of him. I was really happy," Shawn told MTV at the iHeart Radio Music Festival of Justin's shoutout. "Obviously, people took that the wrong way, so it was really nice of him to do that."
Shawn even took their new bro-ship to another level saying he'd love to collaborate with the Biebs. Seriously, how swoon-worthy would that track be?
