Oops! Louis Tomlinson came under fire after sharing details about a weight loss supplement on Twitter.
Have no fear though...his rep said Louis is not endorsing the company or product.
Louis tweeted about Bootea smoothie, but later deleted the post when he faced some backlash for seeming to promote the company, which also makes diet pills.
He tweeted: "Had an amazing @BooteaUK smoothie from Bootea.com this morning #booteashake"
According to his rep, "Louis tweeted about the drink as he had one and enjoyed it. However, he did not realize they are associated with weight loss and would never endorse weight loss products."
Why did Louis cause such a stir? Given One Direction's young, impressionable audience, some feared that this type of endorsement would prompt kids to worry about body image and to try diet pills and other weight loss products.
You have to be careful when you're a role model to millions, go figure.
