Selena Gomez, Nat Wolff Fall Into 'Racy Behavior' In 'Behaving Badly'

Nat Wolff has his sights set on Selena Gomez in their upcoming flick, "Behaving Badly."

The film follows Wolff's leading man, who will do anything to win the heart of his crush, played by Gomez. And from the sound of it, he means anything.

"'Behaving Badly' is about a kid who wants to get with the most beautiful girl at his school, played by Selena, and basically goes through the most messed-up, convoluted process to getting her," Wolff told MTV News about the film, out later this year. "And it's this wild, dark comedy involving mafia and strippers and dead people ... but it's all funny."

Wolff said his character does most of the bad behavior in the flick, based on Ric Browde's 2000 novel "While I'm Dead ... Feed the Dog."

"[Selena's] probably the most innocent of everybody. Her character was a little worse in 'Spring Breakers.' But in 'Behaving Badly,' she plays a little bit more of the innocent girl," he explained. "She's sort of religious, and I'm the one making a lot of the mistakes. But, she's around a lot of racy behavior."

The two former TV stars got famous appearing on squeaky-clean tween sitcoms. Wolff, now 18, launched his career on Nickelodeon's "Naked Brothers Band." At the same time, Gomez, who turns 21 in July, was winning audiences over on her hit Disney series, "Wizards of Waverly Place." And despite the more mature vibe of "Behaving Badly," they aren't ashamed of where they come from.

"I knew her when I was younger, when I was doing 'Naked Brothers Band' and she was doing 'Wizards of Waverly Place.' And we had the same agent, so I would just hear all these stories about her all the time," Wolff recalled. "And I was so excited to get to work with her. And I think what's similar with us is a lot of people complain about their shows they have when they're younger, but both of us feel really lucky to have had that experience. We loved doing our shows. We both worked with really close friends. I noticed a lot of similarities between us."

Wolff, who will appear in "Palo Alto" alongside Gomez's "Spring Breakers" co-star James Franco, added, "Now, she did 'Spring Breakers' and this movie, 'Behaving Badly,' which is ruining her young-fan reputation, but I think she's making really great choices."

Gomez is also readying the release of her next album, Stars Dance, slated for release on July 23. Her tour of the same name will kick off August 14 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She's also got a few other film projects on her docket, including the Ethan Hawke thriller "Getaway" and the family drama "Rudderless."
