One Direction's Harry Styles And Niall Horan 'Go Undercover To Meet Fans'

When you're one of the most famous people on the planet it must be hard to meet normal folk, so imagine our surprise to learn One Direction have come up with a nifty trick of how to keep “down with the fans” while staying anonymous – they've got fake Twitter accounts.

According to sources, Harry Styles and Niall Horan like to go online under pseudonyms to chat to their fans and find out just what they think of the chart topping heartthrobs.

"Harry and Niall like to get personal with the fans, but it's hard to talk one-on-one with them without being cyber-mobbed,” a source told the Daily Star.

"So in the last few months they've started using pseudonyms to befriend their fans on twitter. They have no idea the strangers they're talking to are actually their idols.

"The boys change their names every few weeks to prevent being rumbled."

Harry is, unsurprisingly, the biggest fan of the sneaky behaviour and “loves” to kill time as his fake self.

"They find out what fans enjoy most at the gigs and which songs they like and don't like. It's also a good place to hear what the latest rumours are,” the insider went on.

"They say it helps them kill time as well when they're waiting in hotels and airports around the world.” With their new album, Take Me Home, going down well with Directioners we'd say their undercover antics are working out pretty well!
