Selena Gomez and Ethan Hawke's new movie 'Getaway' has been relatively guarded in regards to the plot, with Gomez giving a tiny hint during the summer to expect 'lots of action'.
Well the plot for the new thriller, expected to hit screens in 2013, has just unfolded and it looks like the former Disney actress is shaking off her goody two shoes image for a more meatier role.
In the newly released synopsis, Ethan is casted as a burned-out race car driver forced to enter the world of crime when his wife is kidnapped.
Gomez becomes Ethan's savvy hacker, who is drafted in to help the washed-up star recover his spouse from the evil clutches of villain actor Jon Voight.
In a teaser sneak picture of the co-stars on set, a hoodied Gomez and Hawke can be seen on a stake out in a car looking ever-so serious.
Speaking on her latest movie role, the pretty 20-year-old said ealier this year: "It's really, really exciting. I go to Bulgaria and then I start filming. It's more of an action movie, which is also different."
