Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez wanted to be “left alone” during their recent breakfast date, so much so that Bieber even tried a bit of a disguise, according to reports.
The young Hollywood couple were joined for breakfast at the Blue Plate Diner in downtown Edmonton on Saturday afternoon for a late breakfast, following the 18-year-old’s performance at Calgary’s Saddledome.
The ‘Baby’ singer wore a bandana around his neck and face to try and disguise himself, according to Edmonton Journal.
“I didn’t know who it was, but my staff knew right away,” the diner’s owner John Williams told the newspaper.
“They said it was the hair that did it. It was like he was trying to be incognito, but it wasn’t a very good disguise.”
Bieber’s security asked Williams to make sure that fans stayed away from the couple, so that they could enjoy their food – which saw Selena tuck away huevos rancheros, while the teen ate scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast and hash browns and don’t forget the chocolate milk.
"Basically, I surrounded his table with oldies who didn’t know who he was or didn’t care,” he said. “They were well-insulated. No one bothered them.”
According to the report, the pair were very polite. “When I asked him how everything was, he said, ‘Everything’s really good,’” says Williams. “His answers were kind of short but he was very sweet. It was clear he really wanted to be left alone, and I was respectful of that.”
But Bieber didn’t pick up the tab, according to the report, they left a note behind claiming that Justin’s bandmates would sort it out.
