Justin Bieber track written about a gay love affair

One of Justin Bieber's album tracks was written about a gay love affair.

The 18-year-old pop star recorded 'Bigger' for his first album 'My World' without knowing it was about two men breaking up.

However, songwriter Frank Ocean, recently revealed details about the track and his sexuality.

The R'N'B singer, who has also written songs for Beyonce Knowles and Kanye West, wrote on his website about his relationship with a boy as a youngster.

He said: 'Four summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. It was hopeless.'

The 24-year-old appeared on two songs from Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative album 'Watch the Throne.'

Def Jam record label founder, Russell Simmons, wrote in a post that he is moved by Frank's ''courage and honesty.''

He wrote on his Global Grind website Wednesday (04.07.12): ''Today is a big day for hip-hop. Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear.''

Flea of rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers tweeted: ''Strong move by Frank Ocean, makes me happy.''

Justin Bieber: A 'Humble' Evolution From My World To Believe

In the lead-up to the release of Justin Bieber's album Believe, there has been a lot of talk about how much the 18-year-old has grown up since he dropped his first EP, My World, back in 2009. Sure, he is actually older, but the conversation has also been focused on how his music sounds more mature. He no longer seems to be crafting sugary-sweet tracks like "Baby."

The pop star will celebrate his mature new album during "Bieber Live," airing Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Bieber will join Sway and 100 lucky fans for an interview and a pair of performances.

Adding to his growth is the fact that in the two and a half years since that debut release, Bieber has quite literally done it all. He's toured the world (several times over), topped the charts, won a lot of awards, fallen in love, become a boss to his own artist, owned the box office, befriended some of the biggest MCs in the game, vowed to "Never Say Never" and, yes, became legal.

As tiring as it may sound to be Justin Bieber, his manager, Scooter Braun, notes that when the singer sat down to make the album, he didn't want to rush it or be lazy about it. He wanted it to be perfect. His experiences are not only helping shape him as an artist but also helping him mature as one.

"You know, I think a lot of times with big superstars, they don't always deliver on that big album. They don't meet the expectation ... sometimes it's because they're superstars," Braun explained to MTV News. "Maybe they think they know it all and they don't want to listen to anyone else's input, and sometimes that works and sometimes that doesn't.

"Justin was really humble about this," he continued. "He probably wrote 200 songs and we just kept working and working and narrowing it down. And there were so many records that didn't even make it that we'll save for something else. I think when it was all said and done, there wasn't one person who listened to that album all the whole way through and thought that we didn't have something special and really great and something that didn't just reach the teenagers, but everyone — without losing the teenagers."

The album certainly has been teased for quite some time. The buzz began to really pick up around the time of the release of his holiday album in 2011, when he dropped the name Justin Timberlake as his template for career evolution, setting the bar quite high. "I'm proudest of Justin with this album 'cause I think he delivered," Braun said. "For a superstar to deliver means a lot."

Others who worked with Bieber on the release told MTV News during the recording process that it was important for him to make music that would help expand his brand beyond the tween and teen market. A big part of Bieber's musical evolution, however, is about making sure no one gets alienated.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," his vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, told MTV News back in November. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between."

That mission to help Bieber make the right choices as an adult artist was certainly priority number one when Bieber hit the studio with Mike Posner to work on the album's lead single, "Boyfriend." "I think our goal was to make something that me and my friends could listen to in the car," Posner explained in March. "I think we've all known Justin since he was 13, and that's not the kid I was in the studio with anymore. He's an 18-year-old. He skateboards with Lil Wayne and hangs out with Lil Twist. Those are his homies. And he listens to hip-hop and he's a really cool kid. He's not like a corny guy.

"So I wanted to make something that reflected who he is now and who he is going to continue to be," Posner continued. "I think people have been waiting [for] when he's going to turn that corner, and the time is now."

Listening to his album, it's clear that Bieber is trying out new sounds, from dance to R&B and everything in between. But he also just plain sounds different. His voice is deeper than it was when he first started making music. That register change is something he commented on in a recent interview with MTV News.

"It's really deep," he joked. "The thing is, I'd always put out random songs and give it to my fans, and when my voice was changing I was doing that. So they didn't randomly just hear [it and go], 'He's got a deep voice now.' It was gradual. They didn't realize it that much. It just kind of happened. The tone is still the same. It's just deeper and sexier."

In the end, while it may seem like he's taking a cut from another pop star named Justin, Bieber is actually focused on following yet another megastar's template for success.

"He's growing and so is his music," Braun said. "And I don't think he's transitioning and losing any fans. I think he's just growing. We always study Michael Jackson and the thing I loved about his career is he never lost that 2-year-old that bounced to his music. But at the same time, you'd go to a club and there were adults bouncing also. And I think that's what we want to do with Justin."

Justin Bieber My World Tour Is 'The Loudest Thing'

Justin Bieber has taken his My World Tour to Mexico and South America, and by all accounts, things are going really well. MTV News got the scoop directly from some of the folks that are on the road with the Biebs, including his tour DJ and one of his tourmates.

"Everything's been cool. Everything's been great," DJ Tay James told MTV News. "Absolutely ridiculous. I've been with him since his second show and just to see him do shows with 300 people to us doing [shows with] 50,000, it's crazy. I'm just happy to be in the position that I am. That's like my little brother."

Cobra Starship are Bieber's opening act on the tour, and the group's bassist, Alex Suarez, said he was amazed by the size of the crowds, not to mention the loudness. "You know, it's not too different than how we kind of got our start," he said. "When we started touring, we started touring with Fall Out Boy and doing big tours. I think we've come to the point where Cobra, our fans have stuck with us.

"It's really amazing," he continued. "These are the largest shows that we ever played. As soon as they open the doors, there is a constant tone of scream. It is really amazing. We watched Justin's set — it's the loudest thing."

There's a lot of downtime on the road, and according to DJ Tay, when they aren't onstage entertaining the Beliebers, he and the Biebs often discuss music. "We definitely converse on new music," he shared. "I know [Justin's] a big fan of Drake and Busta Rhymes. He will put me onto music and I will put him onto music; we keep each other up on it."

They also spend a lot of time playing music and posting videos online. "This whole DJing thing came out of nowhere," the DJ said. "We started this when I first got on with him and he just wanted to play around with the turntables. He was scratching here and there, and then he was like, 'Man, teach me a few things.' So every time we do a video, he gets a step better. And I just wanted to show everyone he's trying. He's open to new things. That's something about him that I admire."

DJ Tay also teased Bieber's upcoming Christmas LP, Under the Mistletoe, predicting the teen star will have everyone going bananas on November 1. "You guys got to get ready for this Christmas album. It's amazing. It's probably one of the best Christmas albums that I ever heard," he said.

Justin Bieber and Crew Show "Rudeness" in Metro Manila

Justin Bieber's fame shines so bright that he can't even see where he's been as well as where he's going. An angry fan posted a video of Justin Bieber's "Popstar Ego" upon leaving Metro Manila early Wednesday morning for tapping his father's hand to sign an autograph on the CD.

YouTube's v7andrea posted the video on May 11, which is a day after Bieber's Metro Manila Concert for his Asian Leg of the My World Tour along with the following description:

My father(in neon green vest) tried to get an autograph from Justin Bieber for my sister. But take a look on what he did. He tapped my father's hand and the cd fell on the floor. Nobody from his crew helped him. Not even an apology from Justin Bieber himself.
Where are your manners now kiddo? i know you're sick but you could've at least said sorry you are not signing anything.
How could you do that to my father.

Some die-hard fans might excuse Bieber for such behaviour because he's "feeling sick", given that he only pushed the Manila concert despite of his sickness and how he vomited backstage in between songs during the concert; while others, didn't exempt Bieber for such behaviour like a famous comment from the video that says:

if he's sick... still not acceptable and unexcusable for his unprofessional behavior.. he could have just ignore the guy... what's for the tap? is he really that sick???? THINK????

Is this one of Justin Bieber's bad sides other than being a brat as what CSI star, Marg Helgenberger? Check out the video below and see for yourself how "rude" was he.

Got called a trooper. LOL (laugh out loud).” It looks like Bieber definitely is a trooper. He reportedly vomited in between songs.

Justin Bieber concert features Pinoy talents

International superstar Justin Bieber will showcase Filipino talent in his concert Tuesday night in Manila.

The Bieber concert will feature as its front act the all-male dance crew Poreotics, the champions of the 5th season of America's Best Dance Crew, whose 3 members are Filipinos.

Aside from Poreotics, Bieber will also feature the Filipino-American R&B band Legaci, who joined him in his entire "My World" tour.

Meanwhile, the Canadian sensation will receive a guitar-shaped plaque from MCA Music Philippines for selling 105,000 units of his 5 CDs in the country, reaching the 7-time platinum mark.

His platinum-selling albums include Never Say Never, Single, My World, My World 2.0, My Worlds and My Worlds: The Collection.

Bieber arrived in Manila on Tuesday for a concert tonight at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

He was scheduled to hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. It was, however, delayed for hours after his entourage had problems retrieving their baggage at the airport.

At least 40 media practitioners attended the press conference.

His bodyguard, Kenny Hamilton, apologized to the media for the delay.

Collaboration with Charice

During the presscon, Bieber said he is keen on collaborating with international singing sensation Charice. The young Canadian singer said Charice “is really nice and sweet” and collaborating with her is possible.

Bieber mentioned that she met Charice on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

He, however, ruled out any possibility of creating music with boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.

Bieber said he will “go to the ring with Manny Pacquiao” but not make music with him.

Aside from Charice, he would also like to collaborate with Kanye West, Drake and Rascal Flatts.

Beautiful women

The young singer also observed that the Philippines has a "lot of of beautiful women."

When asked if he has dated a Filipina, he said he "talked to a Filipina girl" once. He described her as "half Filipina, half Mexican."

He said he is open to the possibility of dating a Filipina in the future.

Bieber was once linked to Filipina singer Jasmine Villegas, who played his love interest in the music video for his single "Baby." His current girlfriend is Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber releases new music video ... but will it ever air on TV?

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber has come with yet another music video to showcase his talents -- this time, however, it wasn't about a major production with dozens of dancers.

Rather, the video for "Love Me" is, as Bieber puts it himself, a tribute to all of his fans. It features footage of his recent concerts, along with some video of him singing the song in front of a sky blue background.

With the video uploaded by Bieber without too much of an official announcement, this is probably not meant to be the direct successor to "Somebody to Love" on MTV and other music video channels. Justin has already claimed that there are multiple videos on the way, and one of them may be for what is technically his newest single.

Even if this video never airs on TV, do you still love it?
