International superstar Justin Bieber will showcase Filipino talent in his concert Tuesday night in Manila.
The Bieber concert will feature as its front act the all-male dance crew Poreotics, the champions of the 5th season of America's Best Dance Crew, whose 3 members are Filipinos.
Aside from Poreotics, Bieber will also feature the Filipino-American R&B band Legaci, who joined him in his entire "My World" tour.
Meanwhile, the Canadian sensation will receive a guitar-shaped plaque from MCA Music Philippines for selling 105,000 units of his 5 CDs in the country, reaching the 7-time platinum mark.
His platinum-selling albums include Never Say Never, Single, My World, My World 2.0, My Worlds and My Worlds: The Collection.
Bieber arrived in Manila on Tuesday for a concert tonight at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.
He was scheduled to hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. It was, however, delayed for hours after his entourage had problems retrieving their baggage at the airport.
At least 40 media practitioners attended the press conference.
His bodyguard, Kenny Hamilton, apologized to the media for the delay.
Collaboration with Charice
During the presscon, Bieber said he is keen on collaborating with international singing sensation Charice. The young Canadian singer said Charice “is really nice and sweet” and collaborating with her is possible.
Bieber mentioned that she met Charice on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
He, however, ruled out any possibility of creating music with boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.
Bieber said he will “go to the ring with Manny Pacquiao” but not make music with him.
Aside from Charice, he would also like to collaborate with Kanye West, Drake and Rascal Flatts.
Beautiful women
The young singer also observed that the Philippines has a "lot of of beautiful women."
When asked if he has dated a Filipina, he said he "talked to a Filipina girl" once. He described her as "half Filipina, half Mexican."
He said he is open to the possibility of dating a Filipina in the future.
Bieber was once linked to Filipina singer Jasmine Villegas, who played his love interest in the music video for his single "Baby." His current girlfriend is Selena Gomez.
