TOP PICK: Katy Perry & Madonna Channel Their Inner Dominatrix for 'V' Magazine

Katy Perry and Madonna are sizzling on the cover of V magazine’s Summer 2014 issue.

Here’s what the two ladies had to share in the dominatrix themed issue:

On provocative showmanship:
Madonna- “I would always say, ‘Dad, I¹m an artist, I have to express myself. You don¹t understand.’ I think he¹s finally come to terms with it. It¹s only taken 30 years. He’s like, Do you have to simulate masturbation on the bed? Do you have to? Yes, Dad, I do.”

Katy- “I haven¹t gone that far yet, but maybe under your great mentorship I might reach that point.”

On the V magazine shoot:
Katy – :I was sore in my upper body and in my butt area from all that squatting.”
Madonna – “It’s good to be sore in your butt. My neck is sore from that wonderful moment when I was sucking on your heel.”

On getting ready for a tour:
Madonna- “A couple of weeks before my production rehearsals I look and feel like a truck ran me over.”
Katy- [laughs] “Oh, I look like that now.”

TOP PICK: Madonna's New Revealing Selfie: Check Out That Armpit Hair!

Well hello, Madonna's armpit hair. Um...is Madge trying on a new look? We're all for being natural, but this is pretty cray, considering the eye goes straight to the pit and we barely noticed she's in a lacy corset and bowtie.

Her Instagram selfie pic's caption? "Long hair...... Don't Care!!!!!! #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove"

Madonna has been posting some interesting selfies lately, including a pic of herself licking a shower door, which she captioned "Still cleaning house! A Woman"s work is never done!" and one of her Purim costume, where she channeled Game of Thrones' Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen.

So, yeah. It's about par for the course. Madonna poses seductively in the selfie with her arm up and...there it is...a big fluff of fuzz. And not just the stubble you get after not shaving for a few days (hey, we've all been there), but this looks like she's been working on it for awhile.

Weigh in--au naturel or better to shave them pits? While she may have people buzzing about her pit fuzz, we're yawning a little over here. It's just hair, after all.

Ariana Grande: Madonna 'Is My Idol'

Ariana Grande gussies herself up in this new shot from V Magazine.

The 20-year-old singer chatted with the glossy for their big music issue about her love for Madonna, being compared to Mariah Carey and how her fans perceive her. Check it:

On the Mariah comparison: “I mean, it’s a huge compliment. But when you hear my entire album, you’ll see that Mariah’s sound is much different than mine. [My other inspirations] that’s where I discovered my range. I grew up listening to Destiny’s Child. I would try so hard to mimic all BeyoncĂ©’s little runs and ad-lib things. They are so precise. It’s like math. Remember the Destiny’s Child version of ‘Carol of the Bells?’ I took it apart, put it in GarageBand, and dissected it all. That’s how I learned about harmonies and runs and ad-libs. Thank you, Destiny’s Child!”

On her love for Madonna: “She is my idol as far as attitude. I just love how she stands up for what she believes in and surprises people by not eff-ing up when they want her to so badly. Madonna has always surprised people and she has always had her head on straight. Even when she pretends not to. When she shocks people and everything, there is always a method behind it.”

On friends versus fame: “That’s what I am learning right now, that I have to become stronger in this industry. I’ve learned over the past year that you don’t have time to chase after every person who doesn’t understand you. The people that know me know that I’m a nice girl. My fans know that I’m a nice girl. My friends know that I’m a nice girl. And ultimately, that’s all that matters.”

Miley Cyrus MTV Unplugged: See Her Full Set List!

Miley Cyrus completely exceeded our expectations with her thoroughly entertaining MTV Unplugged performance, which airs on MTV on January 29. So which songs does she sing throughout the concert? Here is her full set list! And click here to see 10 things that happened during the concert that you won't see on TV.

Wetpaint Entertainment attended the concert, and so we're here to tell you every song that she played. Interestingly, when it comes to her own songs, Miley sticks entirely to her Bangerz album and doesn't play any of her older stuff. So if you're hoping to hear "Party in the USA" or "See You Again," we're afraid you're out of luck.

That said, Miley's set feels quite varied because of the different musical instruments backing her up, including banjo and violin on certain songs. And it's just her and the piano in a very moving rendition of "Drive."

Plus, Miley also throws in some unexpected cover tunes. She performs Dolly Parton's country classic "Jolene," and she closes the show with a lively take on the Artic Monkeys' tune from 2013, "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" The latter song seems especially appropriate, given Miley's self-proclaimed love of smoking pot.

And if you ask us, the highlight of the show is when Madonna shows up, and the two do a foot-stomping mash-up of Miley's "We Can't Stop" and Madge's "Don't Tell Me." Speaking of which, we wish this show wouldn't stop.

Miley's Full Unplugged Set List

"4x4"

"Do My Thang"

"#Getitright"

"SMS (Bangerz)"

"Adore You"

"Rooting for My Baby"

"Drive"

"Jolene" (Dolly Parton song)

"Wrecking Ball"

"We Can't Stop"/"Don't Tell Me" (Madonna song)

"Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (Arctic Monkeys song) — Oops! This one ended up on the cutting room floor.

Miley Cyrus & Madonna Performing...Together!

Get ready for the pop music world to implode!

I can exclusively reveal that Miley Cyrus' surprise guest performer for her upcoming MTV Unplugged special is none other than Madonna!

Yes, Miley and Madonna singing together!

Sources tell me that the two were on a Hollywood soundstage earlier today rehearsing the collaboration.

No word on what exactly they'll be performing, but does it really matter? They could read the telephone book together and the world would watch and listen.

"The performance will showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz," MTV said in a press release last week. "Miley and her fans have always had an intimate and direct connection through her music, personality and no-holds-barred attitude and the Unplugged stage will serve as the perfect platform for her to show viewers what inspires and ignites her music and her passions."

Since its debut in 1989, Unplugged has showcased Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Adele and Florence + The Machine.

Madonna most recently teamed up with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at the Grammys for the hip-hop duo's performance of "Same Love." Cyrus kicks off her 38-city Bangerz tour on Feb. 14 in Vancouver, Canada.

Cyrus actually compared herself to Madge shortly after her infamous performance with Robin Thicke (and her foam finger) at MTV's Video Music Awards last month.

"Last night, I was talking about some Madonna performances, and I said, 'At some point, everything becomes irrelevant.' Like, no one even thinks about when she did 'Like a Virgin' at the VMAs," the former Disney darling told the New York Times. "That just becomes a standard, where it's just like, 'Oh, that's her thing.' So, I feel like now that I did the VMAs, that just kind of became a standard for me, and then anytime I do anything else, they're like, 'Miley kept it tame tonight.'"

Miley Cyrus Is 'Doing It Her Way' -- Just Like Madonna

Yes, there are some critics who wish Miley Cyrus would quit all the twerking and the foam finger play, but Nelly isn't one of them. Actually, the veteran hitmaker is rooting for the controversial pop star.

"I'm excited to see somebody throw some stuff right back in a lot of people's face," Nelly said when he sat with MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday. "I think she's very smart because I think she's doin' it on purpose. Everybody's in an uproar and I'm like go 'head, play right into her hands."

Nelly compares Miley's current trajectory to pop queen Madonna, who ruffled some feathers during her ascent, too.

"She's young, why shouldn't she do it? Somebody else did it their way and wound up being one of the biggest stars on the planet, possibly one of the biggest females of all time in Madonna," he reasoned. "Don't nobody say nothin'. Now everybody wanna hold Madonna holidays."

On Tuesday the "Country Grammar" spitter released his seventh solo LP M.O., and next week, he will play a role when Miley releases her highly anticipated Bangerz LP. The two worked on "4x4," a country-tinged track produced by Pharrell Williams.

It's all about self-expression — something Nelly knows all about. Aside from his penchant for making pop hits, the St. Louis rapper has experimented with a variety of different sounds — most notably when he worked with country crooner Tim McGraw on 2004's "Over and Over." It's all comparable to Miley's newfound rap affiliations.

"She has no reason to be who you want her to be and I think she's standing up for a lot of people," he reasoned. "What we do is art, it's artistic, it's expression, it don't have to be politically correct. It's only wrong when you're doin' it for the wrong reasons."
