Has Hannah Montana Jumped The Shark?
There's no doubt that Miley Cyrus remains the hottest teenage star on television. She earns the most, has a devoted fan base, and a successful music career. But why can't she reach the #1 spot on Nielsen's television rankings list anymore?
ICarly with Miranda Cosgrove has beaten out Hannah Montana once again, pulling in 2 million more cable viewers than Miley Cyrus. Has Hannah Montana Forever jumped the shark? Why else would fans be abandoning the show?
As you can see in the picture below, Miley came in 5th palce for the week of August 1st among cable viewers. And while her numbers aren't so low that she's losing out to Snooki on the Jersey Shore, she's nowhere near the number of viewers she needs to take on Cosgrove. According to Nielsen, Miley only attracted 5.7 million viewers compared with Miranda's 7.7 viewers.
