The 38-year-old Wicked actress lept into action, protecting the 32-year-old eternal sunshine singer when a person unexpectedly crashed the red carpet during the Asia-Pacific premiere of Wicked: For Good on Thursday (November 13) at Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa, Singapore.

The cast of the film was seen walking down the “Yellow Brick Road” carpet as the person rushed up to Ariana, causing her to get startled as Michelle Yeoh pulled her back and Cynthia rushed to physically separate Ariana from the crasher.
The person, who was later tackled to the ground by security as seen in footage from the event, was later identified online as a frequent stage-crasher at events and concerts, self-identifying as “Troll Most Hated” and bragging about “meeting” Ariana on social media on their Instagram Story.
