Ethan Slater is being supportive of his girlfriend Ariana Grande‘s first Oscar nomination.
The 31-year-old actress and singer was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda in Wicked on Thursday (January 23). To celebrate the major accomplishment, her 32-year-old partner Ethan took to Instagram to share a scenic snapshot of her standing near a balcony on a rainy day holding a slew of pink balloons.
To share their enthusiasm, the official Wicked Instagram page commented on the post with a heart emoji.
Ethan also took to his story to share a photo of Ariana as Glinda in Wicked.
“Oscar. Nominated,” he proudly captioned the post, while tagging Ariana.
Ariana acknowledged the nomination on her own Instagram account on Thursday, sharing a childhood photo of her in a Dorothy costume, stills from her as Glinda, and a throwback moment of her singing “The Wizard and I.”
“i don’t quite have all my words yet, i’m still trying to breathe. but thank you. oh my goodness, thank you. Universal, Marc, my family, my heart. lemons and melons and pears, oh my,” she wrote in the caption.
