Stephanie Hsu is opening up about her decision to turn down an audition for the Wicked movie.
The 34-year-old actress got her start as a musical theatre actress on Broadway and received an Oscar nomination for her performance in the 2022 movie Everything Everywhere All at Once.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Monday (December 2), Stephanie responded to rumors that she auditioned for the role of Glinda.

“I actually did not audition for Galinda. I was asked to audition, but I don’t feel in my heart to be a Glinda/Galinda. And I actually just saw the movie and Ari is amazing. She’s giving like, Lucille Ball-level of comedic perofrmance, so thank god it wasn’t me,” Stephanie said.
Ariana Grande got the role and we know of at least four other actresses who confirmed they auditioned as well.
