The Broadway musical Wicked has been adapted into a movie, though it has been split into two parts.
There has been speculation recently that Universal Pictures has ditched the plan to release the movie in two parts because none of the marketing for first movie mentions it being “Part One.” Also, director Jon M. Chu confused fans when he shared the movie’s trailer and said, “Let me tell you, the WHOLE story.”
Well, we have confirmation that Part Two is DEFINITELY happening now!

Universal Pictures just announced that Wicked: Part Two is still happening and there’s a new release date.
Instead of being released on Thanksgiving Day in 2025, the movie will hit theaters five days earlier on November 21, 2025.
