Lizzo Highlights Her Love of 'Star Wars,' Talks Her Dad's Role in Introducing Her to Franchise While Celebrating 'Mandalorian' Appearance

Lizzo officially exists within the Star Wars universe, and she couldn’t be happier about it.

The 34-year-old “Good as Hell” hitmaker appeared on the April 5 episode of the popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian playing a character known as The Duchess.

She took to social media in the aftermath to celebrate the cameo and reflect on her role within the universe. She also revealed the role that her dad played in introducing her to the franchise.

“As a kid my dad showed me Star Wars like a rite of passage. When I got the role of The Dutchess I cried all day. Dad I wish u were here to see this,” she wrote on Twitter alongside photos of her in character. “Thanks to everyone in the Galaxy I am now part of the ever-expanding saga of the stars.”

“This is The Way,” she added, “May the Force be with U.”

In another post, Lizzo shared a photo of herself posing with Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) merch and then a photo of herself next to the character on the show!

“How it started bs How it’s going,” she wrote.

If you missed it, Lizzo debuted a new hair color last month and referenced Selena Gomez in the process.
