Videos of Ariana Grande singing on the set of the Wicked movie have leaked online and provided fans with their first listen of her Glinda vocals.
The role of Glinda is known for singing in an operatic voice as the role was originated by soprano Kristin Chenoweth on Broadway. Fans have wondered if Ariana can hit the notes and the answer is a clear YES!
The 29-year-old actress sounds incredible in the clips that have surfaced of her singing the opening number “No One Mourns the Wicked” while filming on an outdoor set in England.
People on social media have noted that Ariana sounds just like Kristin, with some wondering if she’s actually lip-syncing to KC‘s recording as they sound so alike.
