Ariana Grande turned to a very famous friend for help dealing with all the diva rumors that blew up about her recently. Ari found a friend in Miley Cyrus and got some solid advice from the pop star about what she should do.Since they share that common bond of Nickelodeon/Disney TV stars trying to break their image and move forward in their careers, we're guessing they have loads to dish about.
Ariana told the Mirror at the recent BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards: "I was upset and I contacted Miley. I said, 'Miley, I'm so sad - what do I do? This isn't true. My heart is broken, I feel so bad.'"
Miley offered up a truth bomb, as Ari explained: "She was like, 'Girl, don't even look at it. Just be happy that you're blessed. You have family and friends love you, you have fans that love you who know what's true and what's not.' She added, 'It will blow over and tomorrow they'll be talking about something else.' She lives for love and that's something I do too. She has a beautiful spirit and she made me feel so much better."
While Ari definitely feels there's a double-standard about women who work hard vs. men, with women getting the "diva" label, she did say the rumors are "hard" to take. She noted, "but it's something that's going to blow over. I try to separate my personal brain space from this. Whether it's good or bad, there's usually very little truth to what's being said about me."
She added, "I've been acting since I was 14. For this to come up so randomly was funny. And as someone who doesn't take themselves seriously at all, it was left-field for me to see that stuff. Honestly, it's fine, it's blown over."
