Well this has us all feeling a bit sad. Despite being the biggest boyband on the planet and enjoying their fame and money, there is one downside for One Direction : being away from home.Hey, at least they have each other, right?
In a new interview with OK! magazine (via RTE), Louis Tomlinson explained, "The tour bus is a little escape, that little back lounge we sit in. Hotel rooms can often be lonely. It's just an easier way to deal with it all."
He added, "I can't really do 'on my own' time, I have to have someone's attention."
Liam Payne added his take on the hardest part of being on the road, explaining, "Being away from home is a huge downside of touring. You miss your family and friends."
The guys also have something else to contend with - fans who keep them trapped in their hotels, with Niall Horan explaining, "It can be quite frustrating being stuck in a hotel. I remember in Peru - I got up, went into Louis' room and said, 'Right, what we doing today?' and he goes, 'We should go shopping.' Then we looked out of the window. There were 10,000 people on the street outside our hotel."
Ugh. Niall recently took to Twitter to compare the feeling to being in a "fishbowl" and shared his weekend cabin fever issues over the weekend when he and Liam were trapped inside .
