Simpson’s tweet on Wednesday (June 11) also pointed out that he and Bieber are “able to relate when it comes to love & women.” Simpson recently split with his ex-model girlfriend Gigi Hadid and Bieber, of course, has an on-again/off-again relationship with Selena Gomez.
Sound engineer Josh Gudwin, who was present during the recording session, agreed that Bieber and Simpson had indeed written a “beautiful” song and posted an Instagram photo of the two singers (see above), which was retweeted by Bieber.
This isn’t the first time Bieber and Simpson have worked together. In 2013, Simpson opened for Bieber during shows on his Believe Tour. And last June, Bieber jumped on stage during Simpson’s show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles to assist on the song “Pretty Brown Eyes.”
In addition to Simpson, Bieber has also recently collaborated on music with Georgia trio Migos, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, Big Sean and Ariana Grande.
In other Bieber news, the pop superstar posted an Instagram photo on Wednesday where he’s seen cuddling with ex-flame Gomez. The black and white image, which had the caption “Our love is unconditional,” was quickly deleted, according to MTV.com.
