Is Lucy Hale Justin Bieber’s Type?

Who do you think Justin Bieber should date next? Lucy Hale? Maybe Chloe Moretz? Or perhaps he should ask out Sarah Hyland? Why this particular list of lovely ladies? Well, they all have one thing in common: the shape of their faces — a shape they share with Justin’s on-again, off-again love, Selena Gomez.

Yup, when it comes to dating, the Biebs — and all of us — likely has a type, and that type may be able to help us find future love — or at least according to a new dating feature set to hit the scene.

In the coming weeks, Match.com is partnering with Los Angeles-based matchmaking service Three Day Rule to give Match users access to a feature that’s sure to have some folks deja vu-ing all over the place. Three Day Rule uses facial recognition technology to hook users up with potential mates — mates that, in some ways, resemble their exes. And now Match users will be able to upgrade and get in on the action.

So how does this all work? Well, basically TDR seeks to help users sort through all the chaff in the dating world to help them find the wheat. It offers a premium service — $5,000 for six months — that Match users will be able to nab now as well, which includes custom matchmaking, pre-screened dates, coaching and access to facial recognition technology.

That’s right, you can send in any pictures of your exes that you haven’t burned and they will find similar-featured people that you might like to date from among the sea of people on Match.com, TDR’s database and the user’s personal network.

We were curious as to how facial recognition technology would work for some of our favorite celebrities, so we asked Three Day Rule to find the best matches for the ones below, based on their exes’ physical characteristics.

Of course, looks are only one element the service takes into account when searching for a potential match, so the below are not a 100 percent lock. What we’re saying is … you still have a chance.
