The first look at Brad Pitt’s new WWII film Fury has been released, giving a behind the scenes look at the movie.
Directed by David Ayer, the film follows five soldiers in Germany in 1945 towards the end of the war, who go on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
Brad Pitt plays the lead character Wardaddy, a battle-hardened army sergeant who heads the operation.
The film, which was partly shot in Oxfordshire, will be Pitt’s first since his Oscar win earlier this year for producing 12 Years A Slave.
The actor is joined by an impressive cast including Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood and Jon Bernthal.
Although the movie is billed as an action film, the new behind the scenes video reveals the movie will focus on the characters as well, who all have their own storylines interspersed between the fighting.
Ayer promises the film will be “a movie about World War II, the likes of which we haven’t seen before”.
Speaking about the main characters, he says in the video: “They’re exhausted, they’re tired, they’re grief-stricken, they’re combat fatigued. It’s really about a family under incredible stress.”
Fury is due for release in the UK from November
