We've been so consumed with the One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer song mashup, this 5SOS news turned our high into an epic low. Bummer for those 5SOS fans who were planning to see them open for One Direction's tour – they've had to cancel some of their dates.
The cancellation only impacts a few dates, so there's some good news/bad news there, plus there are two awesome bands filling in: McBusted and D.A.M.A. Not too shabby.
Still, we know some 5SOS fans that are planning to go to the shows in Copenhagen and Portugal on June 16, 17 and July 13 are going to feel the burn. Why did they have to cancel?
5SOS released a statement apologizing for the cancellation, which explains nothing, really, so we hope everything's okay. Here's the rundown:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel our support sets on the 1D Tour for Copenhagen on June 16th/17th and Porto on July 13th :( McBusted are now going to be playing in Copenhagen and D.A.M.A will be opening in Porto, so it's still going to be a wicked bunch of shows!
We are really sad we can't make it and are very sorry to any of our fans who were looking forward to seeing us... We really hope to be able to come back to perform and see you all very soon! We love you. - Ash, Mikey, Cal & Luke x"
McBusted, meanwhile, tweeted: "AWESOME NEWS!! We've just been invited to support @onedirection on their 2 Copenhagen dates on 16th & 17th June next week! Gonna be rad!!"
