Well, this is kind of weird. Selena Gomez recently fired her parents from managing her career, and now they're talking to the media about it...
According to TMZ, Mandy Teefy aka Sel's mom told them that she was completely blindsided by her daughter's decision to not have her or her husband run her career anymore. She told them she found out she was fired after seeing the story on TMZ. Ouch.
Shortly after reading the report, Mandy apparently called Selena and they had a meeting. The singer sat down with her mother and step father and told them the rumor was true, and that she wanted to go in another direction. She feels like she's outgrown them and wants bigger management.
Mandy is reportedly having a hard time processing the fact that she's no longer Selena's manager. She has been a part of Selena's career since her Disney days...and she's her mom. She told the site that she respects her daughter's decision and plans to continue producing several movie projects with her including the upcoming "The Sky Is Everywhere."
All of this is still pretty surprising...especially now that her mom is going to the media and talking about her, right? It's also kind of lame. Is it proof things didn't end perfectly between them?
