Demi Lovato ditches her make-up in a barefaced selfie... after she admits to sleeping in until 4pm

Demi Lovato has been a busy girl – bouncing from city to city on her Neon Lights tour.

So it’s no wonder the 21-year-old pop star is exhausted – posting a make-up free selfie after sleeping in and waking up at four p.m.

The barefaced Heart Attack hitmaker peered rather bleary eyed at the camera in the image posted Wednesday, as she showed off her natural beauty – void of the mascara or bold lipstick she usually wears.

Her hair was swept across half of her right eye, the rest tumbling rather matted and tangled about her shoulders.

The lamplight illuminated Demi’s face, for it was still dark in her room – most likely in a hotel, as she is on tour – with the daylight visible through a crack in the curtains.

The beautiful brunette is currently in Sao Paulo, Brazil, having just begun the South American leg of her world tour.

There, she is performing three shows at Citibank Hall before moving onto Rio de Janeiro and several other Brazilian cities, followed by Argentina, Chile, and Ecuador.

Demi has been given quite the reception down south, tweeting on Monday, the day before her first show in the country: ‘My alarm clock this morning was the sounds of my Brazilian Lovatics from outside my hotel.. I instantly woke up with a smile on my face’

After her show on Tuesday night, she tweeted: ‘Sao Paolo... 1 down.. 2 to go.. PLUS THEY'RE ALL SOLD OUT?!!? YOU ARE AMAZING... Tonight was INCREDIBLE!!! #NEONLIGHTSTOURSA!!!!!’

Demi is living the life she’s always dreamed of, tweeting last Thursday: ‘Can't sleep.. Reminiscing on the days I'd watch @AmericanIdol and dream of auditioning one day.. Life sure can feel surreal sometimes.’

Meanwhile, the Give Your Heart A Break hitmaker has been dealing well with haters, responding to a Twitter user who called her a ‘fatty,’ with: ‘Dear haters, you don't have to like me cause I love you.

'Everyone's equal, everyone has a soul and everyone deserves to be loved’

She added: ‘Dear Lovatics, for every hater tweet - don't respond with hate but love and positivity.. Try love instead of combat.’

Finally, Demi tweeted to the girl who made the offensive comment, saying, ‘you are beautiful.’
