After sending fans early morning hospital selfie, Miley Cyrus cancels more concerts

Miley Cyrus pulled out her cell phone at 5 a.m Thursday to show her Instagram followers what early morning looks like in the hospital.

She’s “over the hospital,” wrote a sleepy Miley, who has been hospitalized since Tuesday.

"Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic cephalexin which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to," Miley’s rep told E! News on Wednesday.

Miley was hospitalized right before her Tuesday night “Bangerz” show at the Sprint Center and missed a show in St. Louis on Wednesday, too.

A representative says the singer also won't perform in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday and Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday. Those concerts will be rescheduled.

“This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time.

“Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans, " said the rep.

Cyrus suffered from a sinus infection last week during her "Bangerz" tour. Her rep says she had "an extreme allergic reaction" to the antibiotic cephalexin.

This week, Cyrus also canceled concerts in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. She postponed a show in Charlotte, North Carolina, last week because of the flu.

As her early-morning selfie shows, even the country’s most famous hospital patient has to wake up to take her meds.

I’m kinda amazed that she can type with her eyes half-closed.

I’m kinda amazed that I typed this post with my eyes half-closed, too.

As my grandmother would tell her sleepy-headed grandbabies: “Go meemies," Miley.
