Taylor Swift files restraining order against longtime stalker

Taylor Swift has filed a restraining order against a man who has reportedly been stalking her since 2011.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Swift has accused a man named Timothy Sweet of harassing her with numerous emails, tweets, and letters.

Messages from Sweet allegedly include: "My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverly Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life."

He is also accused of sending the singer messages threatening anyone who gets between them.

A judge has ordered Sweet to stay 100 yards away from Swift and three members of her family at all times.

Swift is not the only star who has recently had to deal with potential stalkers.

Last month, a woman swam in her underwear to get to the home of singer Enrique Iglesias.

Alec Baldwin's stalker is currently serving a six month jail sentence for attempted aggravated harassment, harassment and attempted contempt of court.
