While Taylor Swift is usually getting slammed for her history of writing break up songs, she got a different kind of shout out at the 2014 Grammys.
Host LL Cool J opened the show by praising the artists in attendance, rather than going for the cheap jokes.
LL noted that "music gave her [Taylor] the perfect way to express whatever she was going through."
He continued, "Taylor said her truth and now a whole new generation of young women are growing up ready to write about whatever is being done wrong to them. Gentleman behave yourselves!"
Fair warning!
Taylor couldn't have agreed more--giving a high-five to the woman next to her.
