Justin Bieber flashes big grin as he leaves Miami mansion to sea of fans

t's been a tough week for Justin Bieber.

But the troubled teenager seemed happy enough on Friday night as he was pictured grinning when he left a rented Miami mansion.

The self-styled King of Pop was in good spirits, signing autographs for fans while surrounded by bodyguards.

Also with him was his 38-year-old father Jeremy, amid fears that the star's life may be spiraling out of control, and who some have accused of being a bad influence on Justin.

Bieber has apparently refused attempts by his management to check into rehab.

Just hours earlier, Bieber had posted a more sombre picture of himself on Instagram — the first glimpse of the star since he was released on bail after his arrest for DUI.

Bieber, 19, posted a selfie where he looked downcast and it also revealed a heavily tattooed arm.

Alongside the image, Bieber had written: "thank u lord."

This followed a tweet earlier from the singer telling his fans — aka Beliebers — to remain strong despite the criticism he has been facing following his alleged drunken drag-racing arrest earlier in the week.

He also tweeted a photo of himself next to a similar photo of Michael Jackson.

Bieber, who's mother Pattie has strong religious beliefs and has asked people to pray for her son, may also be leaning on his faith.

Writing on Twitter — in capital letters — Bieber said: "YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS >>BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL >>MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE >>I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL."

Bieber was arrested for apparently drag racing in through a Miami neighborhood in his yellow Lamborghini.

When stopped by police, the star apparently told an officer: "Why did you stop me? Why the f--- are you doing this?"
