Justin Bieber attracts scandal on both sides of border: Limo driver claims assault

Singer Justin Bieber, pictured at the premiere of his film, ‘Justin Bieber's Believe’ in Los Angeles two weeks ago, has been drawn in to assault cases allegedly involving members of his entourage in both Toronto and Florida.

Even back home in cold country, Justin Bieber is attracting legal heat.

Toronto police are investigating allegations that a member of the Canadian crooner's entourage assaulted a limo driver either late Sunday or early Monday morning, local law enforcement said.

"The limo driver called police saying he was assaulted by one of his fares, and his fare included the entourage of Justin Bieber," Constable Victor Kwong with the Toronto Police Service told the Daily News.

"At this time the investigation is still ongoing as to who did it, or if anyone did it for that matter," Kwong said, adding that the driver was not transported to a hospital for treatment.

"He was there," Kwong said when asked if Bieber was in the limo.

Cops declined to disclose the name of the limo driver or his company.

Bieiber, 19, was photographed at the Air Canada Centre taking in a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game Sunday night.

Cops investigating the driver's call later responded to the intersection of Dundas St. West and University Ave., about five minutes away from the hockey arena, police said.

The incident came a day after two reported members of Bieber's security squad were arrested in Florida for allegedly turning violent at a fan event.

According to TMZ.com, bodyguards Hugo Hesny and Michael Arana were taken into custody in Miami after they became loud and disorderly at a "meetup" for Bieber's new movie in Aventura, Fla.

The pint-sized pop star was not at the event.

A police report obtained by TMZ stated that Arana "took a fighting stance" and resisted arrest.

Officers had to use "numerous knee strikes" to subdue the muscle man, cops said.

Attempts to reach Bieber's camp were not immediately successful.
