Harry Styles knows how to take in the New York City holiday scenery. The One Direction singer was spotted throughout the Big Apple on Tuesday shopping and enjoying the city.
The 19-year-old heartthrob caused quite a stir by casually walking the streets and was even seen stopping for some sugar-coated peanuts, a staple in New York City. Styles became one young woman's hero when he came to her aid after she'd fallen in the SoHo neighborhood, where he was seen shopping.
The young gentleman catered to his loving devotees by pausing to take photographs before moving on to more sightseeing. While he was initially spotted by only a few, it didn't take long before a mob of 1D fans ran to get a glimpse of the singer. At one point, he had to be escorted by security to escape the mob but still continued posing for pics.
The British darling melted many hearts in the cold city on Tuesday, and one photo shows him chatting with two blond beauties who looked more than happy to make his acquaintance.
Styles joined the rest of his boy band in the early-morning hours when they took over Central Park and delivered a holiday treat for thousands of fans. They performed on "Good Morning America" in front of a sea of people covering the lawn on the live show.
"You should see the crowd here at Central Park," GMA's Robin Roberts said. "It's hard to believe that just a few years ago they were strangers auditioning at 'The X Factor.' But we now know them as the world-renowned phenom One Direction."
With the mere mention of the boy band's name, Roberts' voice was almost drowned out by the screaming fans. Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne joined the morning show host on the stage for a brief sit-down interview before rocking the crowd with a few of their hit songs.
"This is so nice," Payne said. "We can't believe how many people showed up in the cold for us."
To the delight of their supporters, 1D made the big announcement that they'd be bringing their "Where We Are" tour to North America in 2014.
