Selena Gomez Covers Katy Perry's 'Roar' As Stars Dance Tour Hits Virginia

Selena Gomez has been wowing crowds on her Stars Dance tour across the globe for the past couple of months and the singer decided to mix things up earlier this week, as she belted out Katy Perry's smash hit Roar at her Virginia gig.

Selena famously covered Rihanna's Birthday Cake for her 21st earlier this summer and she's now taken on Katy's track, which crowds seemed to love.

Meanwhile, Selena - who split from ex BF Justin Bieber earlier this year - recently spoke out about the teen heartthrob's new track Heartbreaker, which is rumoured to be about her.

“Honestly, I think it's beautiful music. Especially since he is super talented, able to use it and interpret feelings through music,” Selena told Kiss 98.5. “It's what you do to grow as an artist, that's what I did and what many people do. It's sweet.”

When the DJ asked Selena, 21, if she would kill them for quizzing her on a reunion, the songstress replied: “I will not kill you. I hear that a lot, no problem.”

Stop teasing, Selena!

A source has claimed that Justin, 19, sent Selena a copy of the track before it was released and she is said to have been incredibly moved by the emotional ballad.

“Justin sent Selena a demo of this song a couple of months ago, it was raw, just him singing and it totally got to her,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “She wasn’t talking to him, but after she listened to the song, they started talking again,” the insider reveals.

'Boyfriend' singer Justin explained the meaning behind 'Heartbreaker,' writing on Instagram this week: “It's a song for people going through a heartbreak – like I was when I wrote it. It means so much to me to be able to share what I was, and still am going through, with my fans. I'm very proud of this song and I hope it give my fans some insight into my heart – JB.”
